After this thought appeared in his mind, Lin Fan turned to look at the flame pillar that he had triggered first.
The more that he looked at this pillar, the more that he thought that this was the case.
After all, all of the attacks that the pillar had released at him had contained some form of void laws. It was very faint, but he had been able to feel it when he absorbed the balls of flames that it had shot at him.
That was how it had stolen the energy of the water balls that he had shot at it to release that tiny flame.
The more that this thought lingered in his mind, the less that he could resist in the end.
So Lin Fan suddenly stood up and walked over to the flame pillar.
He already had his hand raised as he came closer and closer.
Then on cue, the moment that he moved past the threshold, flames started gathering around the pillar. It didn't take long before the ball of flames was shot at him again.
But Lin Fan was already ready for this.
He just casually gathered the black hole in his hand before releasing it as a net that caught the ball of flames that had been shot at him.
The black net instantly compressed the ball of flames into a single point before it disappeared into nothingness.
Then Lin Fan quickly moved to the side of the pillar and started looking around.
He was seeing if there was a spot on the pillar where he would be able to inject his void laws into, but he wasn't able to find a single thing at all. There wasn't a single thing that was strange about this pillar.
So where was he supposed to inject his void laws?
After thinking about it, Lin Fan just decided to use void laws on the pillar without thinking about how it would react.
He raised his right hand and pointed it at the pillar, gathering the black hole in his hand.
He tried draining the energy of the pillar directly out of it, but he found that there wasn't any energy for him to drain.
Instead, the pillar suddenly started to tremble as if it was reacting to the void laws that had made contact with it. This trembling became stronger and stronger before suddenly stopping out of the blue.
When it stopped though, Lin Fan sensed something coming from above him.
He looked up to find that there was now a black hole that was also at the very top of the pillar.
He didn't know how this had appeared, but he was certain that this was a black hole that had been created with void laws just like his.
His void laws had created a resonance with the pillar and it had summoned this black hole.
But what was he supposed to do with this black hole?
Was he supposed to use his void laws on it?
No, he knew that this would be impossible…he had already tried something like this with his own void laws.
He had wanted to see what would happen if void laws tried to absorb void laws, so he had separated some of his void laws to test this. When the two void law masses tried to swallow each other, they kept canceling each other out until the energy finally didn't have a place to go other than to expand outwards.
That meant that a large explosion happened!
So I knew that there was no way that it would be that I had to inject my void laws into this black hole.
That meant that there was something else that had to be thrown into it.
But what?
As I stared at this black hole, I just couldn't understand what it was that I was supposed to do here.
That is until I saw the flame symbol on the pillar again.
Could it be that I had to shoot back flames at the pillar for it to absorb?
Was that why it had been shooting the ball of flames at whoever had approached it.
But if that was the case, then the only people who could clear this were people who had the void laws…
Then again, the first trial alone was already a test of void laws since no one would be able to process that much life energy unless they had void laws.
Not to mention, to even trigger this black hole above the pillar, one had to have void laws.
So this must be a place related to an expert who had wielded void laws.
Now I was starting to understand why the system had brought me here in the first place.
I was even starting to wonder if this was related to the Void God…after all, the key in my dantian was the same shape as the key that the system had given me. That key was from the various stones of the five sacred beast races, which was an inheritance from the Void God.
So that meant…that the system had some kind of relation to the Void God as well?
His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by flames that had gathered around the pillar.
Even though there was the black hole that was floating there above the pillar, the flames didn't seem bothered by the black hole and continued to gather there above it. It soon formed another ball of flames above that pillar that shot out at Lin Fan.
Lin Fan didn't panic seeing this since he could sense the power that came from this ball of flames.
He just casually raised his hand and used his void laws to absorb the ball of flames.
Once that was done, Lin Fan focused on the flame statue inside of his dantian.
He hadn't been paying attention to it since he had been focused on the black hole there instead, but now he noticed that this flame statue was also much bigger and much brighter compared to before. The aura that it gave off just couldn't be compared to before.
It was almost similar to…a Ruler Realm Expert.
Lin Fan examined this flame statue carefully before finally inciting it.
The moment that he did, there was a powerful flame that appeared in his hand. It was so strong and bright that even he couldn't help being taken aback by it.
But since it was the flame that was created by his life energy, it wasn't as if it could hurt him.
Even if it was bright and strong, it didn't release any heat while it was in his hand.
So he was able to hold it without being burnt.
Lin Fan looked down at the flame in his hand and as he looked at it, he felt that there was something off about it. It was almost as if this flame wasn't as powerful as it could be…
He didn't know why he felt this way, but it was as if he suddenly had new understandings of the flame laws.
So he condensed the flame in his hand until it was just a tiny flame.
But even though it was a tiny flame that shined less bright than before, the energy contained within it…was stronger than before.
This was a power that couldn't even compare to what it had been before it had been compressed.
Lin Fan couldn't help staring at the tiny flame that he had gathered in his hand, almost as if he was trying to see if there was any part of it that he could make better.
He had become much more sensitive to flame energy after the flame statue had become bigger, so that also included his gains with flame laws.
But then he also noticed something else.
When he looked up at the black hole above the pillar, he found that it was trembling.
It was as if it resonated with the appearance of this powerful tiny flame. It was as if it was showing its hunger to swallow this tiny flame.
Lin Fan couldn't help being surprised seeing this from the black hole, but since it wanted the tiny flame…
With a flick of his hand, the tiny flame flew through the air towards the black hole.
There was nothing that happened to the tiny flame at first, even when it was well within the confines of the black hole's suction force, there was nothing that changed with the tiny flame.
It went all the way to the center of the black hole and only then did it start to change.
There were bits of flame energy that was drained out of the tiny flame, but then it seemed to return into the tiny flame.
After this happened for a bit, the tiny flame started to spin.
It was slow at first, but then it began spinning faster and faster, generating more and more heat in the center of this black hole.
It was much stronger than the heat of the flames that the pillar had gathered.
Lin Fan had no choice but to take a few steps back in the face of these flames.
After spinning for a bit, the tiny flame suddenly flattened to become a disc in the center of the black hole.
This disc released flame energy into the black hole which also returned it once again.
After this continued for a bit longer, there was a flow of energy that came from the bottom of the disc that flowed right into the pillar.
Once this flow of energy reached the pillar, the pillar started to light up.
