Chapter 1199 Enraged Lion and Overexcited Rabbit
Following Shen Xuefeng leaving them behind, the envoys soon came to understand that she wasn't intending to wait for them as she slowly began disappearing among the busy streets of the Falling Star City-
"Ah!? She's really leaving?!"
"Wha- I can't go back without meeting the Star Shattering Sect or my lord will punish me!"
"Same here! I will be leaving first!"
Prompting the still angry envoys to quiet down and chase after her before she disappeared completely.
Even though they felt like their empire was far stronger than a newly emerged power like the Star Shattering Sect, they also understood that they were far too weak to cause any trouble without any of their seniors around. After all, a sect with more than one Soul Ascension Realm Expert present in it was bound to have at least a few people in the Domain Lord Realm guarding the Falling Star City.
Not even a few seconds later, the group of envoys rushed inside the Falling Star City following after Shen Xuefeng. Making sure to not get too close to avoid becoming even more angry than they already were, something that Shen Xuefeng was more than happy to see happen as she made her way towards the part of the city that the sect had closed off for the envoys of the different empires to stay.

"Hm… Looks like the group of envoys arrived, Shen Xuefeng should have escorted them to the planned location, and they should be eagerly waiting to meet."
At the same time Shen Xuefeng led the group of envoys through the Falling Star City towards the part of the city that had been isolated for the envoys of the different empires, Feng Chen stood on the side of the path leading up the Ninth Star Peak as he gazed down towards the group of envoys nervously following behind her.
"Although… It looks like not all of them came with the intention of having a conversation…" Narrowing both his eyes as he said this, Feng Chen turned his attention away from the group of envoys towards an equally large group sneaking through the Falling Star City in the direction of the Ninth Star Peak.
Just from a glance, it was obvious that this group had come with the intention of sneaking inside the Shattered Star Peaks... And their strength alone was far above that of any of the envoys following behind Shen Xuefeng, with most of them having at least reached the Late Stage of the Nascent Soul Realm, while a few had even reached the Domain Lord Realm.
On the outside, the different empires seemed to have only sent over a group of envoys to create a relationship between themselves and the Star Shattering Sect, while they had in truth worked together to create a group of cultivators to infiltrate the Shattered Star Peaks to find out more about the Star Shattering Sect.
Although this was expected to some extent, Feng Chen didn't expect that the different empires would even go as far as sending Domain Lord Realm Experts to try and find out more about the Star Shattering Sect. After all, the Star Shattering Sect was still a sect with Soul Ascension Realm Experts in it. If the group of people trying to infiltrate the sect was discovered, they would be as good as dead, and they would never try to use their identity to escape.
The reason for this was rather simple, as the current Star Shattering Sect was not a power that the different empires wanted to use against the Onyx Empire. If the Star Shattering Sect found out about them trying to infiltrate their sect, wouldn't this plan vaporize?
On the other hand, it might cause the Star Shattering Sect to become cautious and push them to align with the Onyx Empire for safety. Essentially allowing the Onyx Empire to almost fully recover the damage that they had suffered from losing three Soul Ascension Realm Experts not too long ago.

Narrowing both of his eyes even further as he thought about this, Feng Chen took out a communication talisman and contacted some of the elders back in the sect about the situation. Intending to use this group of intruders to train some of the stronger elders of the sect who hadn't had a chance to fight seriously in a long time. Especially the grand elder of spirit race, who had just recently broken through to the Domain Lord Realm.
As for safety? He had been granted partial control over the chaotic qi formation guarding the Shattered Star Peaks by Xuan Hao. If anything ended up happening, he could always use the formation to kill off the group of intruders if needed.
"Hm… Given Zu Fei is currently out of the sect leading the expansion into the adjacent region, there are only two Domain Lord Realm Experts present in the sect outside of myself. Guess I should leave one for both Shu Yao and the grand elder of the half spirit race and the rest… I will let Xuan Hao's lion deal with them…" Muttering this to himself as he went over the situation, Feng Chen picked up a different communication talisman before informing the winged lion about the situation and promising a lot of spirit stones in return for its help.

However, after informing the winged lion through the communication talisman, the only answer he got back was a weirdly excited squeaking sound.
Is there something wrong with the winged lion? No… It's a demon beast close to the Soul Ascension Realm… Maybe it's just excited at the prospect of getting more spirit stones and made a weird noise…?
Deciding not to think too much about it, Feng Chen began preparing to allow the group of people inside the Star Shattering Sect and having the formation split them up and give the elders of the sect a chance to practice against powerful opponents.
Considering that there was a total of five Domain Lord Realm Experts on the other side and around twenty or so Nascent Soul Realm experts, he planned to have all of them separated from each other, while three of the Domain Lord Realm Experts would be staying together for the winged lion to deal with.
The reason for him to not split up the Domain Lord Realm Experts that the winged lion demon beast would deal with was rather simple, as all of them were only in the First Stage of the Domain Lord realm and stood absolutely no chance against a powerful demon beast at the pinnacle of the Domain Lord Realm.
Even if they did their best to work together, it would be a miracle if they managed to survive for more than a few seconds against such a powerful demon beast.
"But… What is the winged lion doing? Why isn't it moving? Is it perhaps too lazy to move and wants me to use the formation to move it…?
