Chapter 1167 Troubled Mui, Failing Again and Again
Spending the next few hours at the Combat Hall together with Chu Yang, Xuan Hao was not the slightest bit surprised when he realized that Chu Yang's strength had already reached a level comparable to someone at the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm with his Eighth Stage Nascent Soul Realm cultivation base. Even reaching a point where his strength was approaching the level of someone who had already managed to successfully establish a pseudo domain and was in the process of breaking through to the Domain Lord Realm.
Of course, outside of the increase in strength he had during the past four months, Xuan Hao also realized that Chu Yang had managed to take significant steps towards comprehending the Dao of the Spear over the past few hours.
According to what he could see, if everything continued at its current trajectory, Chu Yang should be able to establish a pseudo spear domain in a year or less and take the first step towards reaching the Domain Lord Realm.
Meaning that he would soon have his first Domain Lord Realm disciple, something that made Xuan Hao feel more motivated than ever before during his time with Chu Yang inside the Combat Hall. Making sure to teach him everything that he felt would be helpful for him in the process of comprehending the Dao of the Spear.
After all, even if he hadn't personally comprehended the Dao of the Spear and couldn't guide him in the dao itself, he could still impart his knowledge on the process of comprehending a dao and help him in that regard. Although less useful than someone actually knowledgeable in the Dao of the Spear, it wasn't any worse due to the help of the Domain Lord Chapter of the Mortal Codex that he had obtained in the past.
Even if the information in the codex stored in the sect also contained the Domain Lord Realm Chapter after he handed it over to Elder Song, the chapter was not easy for someone in the Domain Lord Realm or below to understand because of the complex nature of the codex itself.
The best use of the Mortal Codex that recorded the information on the different cultivation realms and how to best progress through them, was by having someone at a higher cultivation realm learn and teach it to those of weaker strength.
This was also one of the main reasons why the speed at which the disciples grew in strength had far exceeded that of the elders. Only recently after more elders broke through the Nascent Soul Realm and taught the Core Formation Realm Chapter of the Mortal Codex to the elders who had yet to reach the Nascent Soul Realm, did the sect end up experiencing its current rapid grow in strength and constant emergence of new Nascent Soul Realm Experts.

Thinking this to himself as he glanced towards Chu Yang, who was sitting on top of a large boulder not too far away from where he was standing, Xuan Hao could not help looking forward to the time when the Nascent Soul Realm Chapter of the Mortal Codex was allowed to show off its true strength.
As for the Domain Lord Realm Chapter he had been using to help Chu Yang enter his current state of enlightenment following a few hours of training… That was still far off in the future…
"I should leave him alone for now and make sure no one accidentally enters the training room while he is in a state of enlightenment…" Knowing that he wouldn't be able to help Chu Yang any more for the time being, Xuan Hao turned around and silently left the training room that he and Chu Yang had been using for the past few hours before using his divine sense to find his last remaining and youngest disciple. Not forgetting to inform the elder in charge of the Combat Hall about not allowing anyone to enter the training room Chu Yang was inside of before leaving the Combat Hall to find Mui.

At the same time, the disciple in question was curiously looking down at a few random formation symbols inscribed on a few small stones while randomly shuffling them around. The formation symbol stones weren't anything special but was one of the main ways that the elders practicing the art of formations taught the youngest disciples of the sect about some of the most basic concepts of formations.
The formation symbol stones were essentially a practice tool that would create a small formation if they were lined up correctly, something that the current Mui was struggling to do as she kept shuffling the formation symbol stones around to no avail.
"Maybe the stones are defect?" Muttering this to herself as she continued to stare down at the formation symbol stones, Mui was about to pick up the formation symbol stones and go ask the elder in charge of them to get her a new pair.

However, before she had the chance to take the formation symbol stones over to the elder and ask for a new pair, the elder in question arrived beside her with a slightly helpless expression on his face as he picked up the formation symbol stones and lined them up correctly to form the small formation. Demonstrating that there was nothing wrong with the symbols inscribed on the stones.
"Junior, you have come here every day for the past month without being able to clear the entry level designed for those younger disciples around 10 years old, I don't think you are fated to walk the path of formations. How about you try something different?"
As Mui showed a look of disbelief on her face after witnessing this, the elder could not help letting out a sigh as he said this. Not because he didn't want Mui to try and become a formation master, but because he really didn't believe she had any talent for it after failing for a straight month without any progress.
Not to mention, as he said, the test with the formation symbol stones was designed for the younger disciples who had just entered the sect as a way to spark their interest in formations. In essence, it wasn't a test and could almost be considered a toy for the younger disciples, yet Mui had somehow managed to fail when it came to using this toy for a straight month…
"This…! I can still do it, just hand me another one!" Hearing what the elder said, Mui looked shocked for a short moment before a determined expression appeared on her face as she asked for another set of formation symbol stones from the elder.
After all, this was not the first time the elder in front of her had told her these words and tried to make her give up on completing the small formation that could be created with the formation symbol stones.
"… Haaa… Here…" Knowing that there was no way to convince Mui as he had already tried to do so before, the elder decided to just hand over a new set of formation symbol stones. All things considered, the formation symbol stones weren't really worth that much and the reason he kept reminding her was just because he didn't want to see a young disciple like her continue wasting her time on something she clearly had no talent for.
"Thank you!" Unaware of the troubled thoughts of the elder as he handed over a new set of formation symbol stones to her, Mui excitedly took them before starting to shuffle them around like she had done before. Showing no signs of being affected by her recent failure.
"…" Seeing this, the elder just shook his head before turning around and returning to his post of watching over the rest of the young disciples' present doing the same thing Mui was, the main difference being that these disciples managed to succeed in completing the small formation after a few minutes of playing around with the formation symbol stones while Mui continued to struggle. "Hm? What is she doing here?"
Arriving just a few seconds earlier, Xuan Hao was left confused seeing this scene playing out. Not understanding what had just happened and why Mui had seemingly become obsessed with formations over the past month. Especially when her talent for formation was at a level that he had never seen before… And that was not in the positive sense…
Maybe something is troubling her and that's why she came here to try and figure it out on her own? Only able to think this as he watched her continue to fail again and again, Xuan Hao decided to walk over and ask her. Hoping that she would at least tell him considering the fact that he was her master…
