Chapter 387 387 - Burnt corpse
"Hey!" Liwei glanced around frowning. There was a weird burning smell permeating in the air. "He couldn't have gone that far right?" he picked up the bag of fish and slowly walked closer to the human campground.
The closer he got the harder the stench was to ignore.
"If you don't come out, I'll eat all your fish," Liwei jokingly swallowed one nasty fish. It tasted disgusting. "See I'm eating it all."
Still that creature did not come out of his hiding.
'Something is wrong.'
Suddenly his foot hit something hard.
Glancing down his heart almost stopped. a burned bony hand crumbled under his shoes.
Liwei stumbled to the ground. His breath came out in pants. He… he saw it. the burned mutated body that was stuck to the crevice on the ground. Only a sole pitiful hand was poking out as if desperately trying to climb out of it.
"no... its... it must be some other zombie…' Liwei wiped the sweat off his face. it can't be him...' he dry swallowed and stood up. "This is not funny. Come out!"
But the beautiful creature did not return.
Only the burned corpse was left on the ground.
Liwei felt his eyebrows twitch. The creature was missing and there was brunt corpse in front of him. 'it… cant be him….' He did not want to think of that possibility.
"Little blue… stop hiding from me…. Come out!" he screamed out loud.
Nothing…
The beautiful creature was not here.
His cold eyes fell on the brunt corpse once again in panic.
"This can't be you… this can't be..." with a trembling hand he gently held the small burned palm. "it's some zombie... not you…."
But the blue seen on the fingernails told him otherwise.
This burned mutilated corpse was his creature.
"No…" he gently pulled him out. His upper part was completely burned black and unrecognizable but his beautiful blue-scaled legs were still intact and limp.
"No…..." Liwei gently cupped his face. "no… no..." he patted him. "You can't die… you're a zombie... you can't die…... no…" he desperately held his hand. "You… You are only pretending to be dead right? Right?"
The creature's hand went limp.
"NOOOOO!!!!! NOOO…."
Liwei crumbled to the ground, hugging him.
His only salvation in this world was now gone…
He was gone because of his mistake.
The innocent creature who smiled at flowers... who loved looking at the sky… was gone.
creature…"He was gone.
Tears dripped down his face uncontrollably. "Why did they have to hurt you... what did you do… You were nothing but an innocent creature…"
He did not even know he could summon tears out of his undead eyes before.
Liwei sobbed loudly. "Why did I leave you alone... why did I let you go…. AHHHHH please... god… why…"
"no... it was not my fault... I didn't do this." he wiped his face smearing his ash all over his face. "it was not me who did this to you. I would never... never hurt you… my savior... my salvation…. Ahhhh…. I would never hurt you…"
And it's all Yue's fault. He killed his precious person.
Liwei bit his lips until it bled profusely. "Yue… Ill kill you. I'll gut you alive and eat your flesh..."
"I'LL KILL YOU ALL!!!!!!"

Yue cupped his ears tightly. "He is enraged…" gazing at Fan he frowned deeply. "he is screaming..."
"Who?" Fan casually patted the top of his head.
"Liwei! He is enraged. I can hear him crying and wailing." Yue bit his lips anxiously. His heart was pounding in his chest. There was a weird forbidding that things were not going to be peaceful after that moment.
"What did you and Tian do in secret?"
Fan raised a brow. "We tried to trap him but we just caught a few random zombies."
"Why is he crying if you just killed a few random zombies?" Yue puled at Fan's clothes.
"How do I know? Maybe it was his right hand or something," Fan kissed his groping hand. "Can you free my shirt dear, It will get stretched out,"
"don't you understand? He is enraged! He would not follow us silently after that. He will full-on attack us. We need to prepare. We have to find a safe spot for the kids and my parent and we also have to fight a huge army of zombies. Maybe we can set traps. God, it's too soon. I was planning on finding a temporary base before fighting him. Fan..."
"shh..." Fan leaned forward and kissed him.
"Fan!" Yue pushed him away. "Watch the road for god's sake."
"You are panicking darling. Calm down,"
"I can't calm down! You can't hear him but I can! He is shouting and screaming and wailing. It's in my head! I…I have never heard him so sorrowfully before. Fan we are in trouble."
"We can deal with him. I have a plan."
Yue sat back with a glare. "What plan?"
"Well, for the safe spot I can create an ice dome, and one it maybe them down!"

we can plant some of Prisitsky's plants, it can deter the zombies away. We can concentrate fully on the zombies. Now that we all have eaten those lotus seeds maybe we have elevated."
Yue anxiously shook his leg. "Do you feel an improvement?"
"Nope."
Yue gaped at him. "Then how are you so confident that we can take them down!"
"I'm not… Yue… we live in a world filled with undead. There is no such thing as safety here. we might die today or tomorrow. But I don't wish to give up without a fight. I will fight to save my family. Even if have to give my life up..."
Yue pinched his lips tighter. "don't you dare say it. you are not dying. No one is dying. We… we will think of a way to defeat Liwei."
They need to come up with a plan quickly because with how things were progressing Liwei would not leave them alone for long. even in a few hours they would catch up and they would have to fight for their lives.
