Chapter 385 385 - The magic seeds
Fan Xui gazed at the round seeds rolling in his palm. He was slightly apprehensive about it. If this seed could really improve their power, it was a good thing but eating so many at the same time might even be detrimental to health. What if one power increased so much that it would overtake their body just like in Prisitsky's case.
As he was thinking this, he noticed in hindsight Yue and Tian plopped a few in their mouth.
"You! Spit it out!!" he clamped his cheek tightly. "We have to test it carefully before eating it!"
Yue just smirked mischievously and gulped it all down like he was eating tablets. "Fuck those are big,"
Fan just gaped at him. He then peered at Tian. She too had gulped it all down.
"you guys are crazy! We still don't know what will happen if we eat too many of those things! Why did you just toss it in? what if your body explodes!!" he shook Yue like a rattle.
Yue just smirked. "Nah, I won't die like that. I refuse to die like that. I will live," he confidently smirked. "Besides Trexa is the one who ate a lot more than us. Even a small rat like her can live... why can't we?"
"She isn't swallowing it!!" Fan shouted. "she…she's just storing it in her cheek or something."
Both Yue and Tian gave him that innocent look.
Sighing he pranced around in front of them. If he spotted even a small sign of their powers going out of control. He was ready to make them puke it out forcefully.
But nothing of that sort happened. They both looked unharmed.
"I'll give the seeds to others even uncle Wen might get his powers eep~"
he excitedly ran off, leaving Tian with him.
Fan sighed gazing at her. "Why did you impulsively eat it?"
"Yue is not wrong ninety percent of the time, and I was willing to risk that ten," shrugging she went off as if nothing happened.
Fan Xui stood there with his hands on his hips gaping at those two. "Am I the only one who is overreacting? It's such a risky move yet they…."
"Fan, come on I've fed one to Coco. She seems faster than before. Ohh, she can even open a portal. This is awesome!!"
Fan rushed to him and checked him over once. Yue did not seem to have any effect of the seeds yet. He was his usual cheery self.
He sighed softly watching his husband running around feeding everyone that seed.
"Yue is in panic," Tian suddenly said from behind him.
"Why?" Fan frowned deeply. It was Liwei that made his lover anxious but that zombie did not follow them. they did not find any traces of Zombie following them.
"he says he can feel him following us… maybe we can't sense him, but Yue does. His heightened sense allows him to see into the distance. Maye that zombie is hiding in the distance waiting and watching us for a weakness." Tian patted his back. "He is right. We need to upgrade ourselves faster. Or else we will all be devoured before we could even realize it."
Fan frond even deeply. They did not have the manpower to fight against that undead creature. Even if they managed to defeat it with a stroke of luck, they still had to deal with the hordes of zombies that followed after Liwei.
They really had to fight for their lives.
"Tian, find me an Earth ability user."
"Why?" Tian raised a brow.
Fan smirked. "it's time we trap that rat."
"Squeak!" Trexa looked at him furiously.
"Sorry kid it's not about you. We are talking about Liwei,"
Yian chuckled loudly. "I still think she is highly offended."
Fan nodded and apologized again and again until the little rat forgave him.
Tian silently stood by him with a sigh. "There is one problem. We don't have a earth ability user with us,"
Trexa once again squeaked. She ran to the car where Yue's parents were resting. Inside, a few chickens were clucking followed by a few quails.
Trexa pointed to them.
"What about them?"
"Squeak!" she slowly squeaked.
Fan sighed loudly. "I still don't understand you,"
"I'll find Chen," Tian rushed away, leaving the two looking at each other awkwardly.
Trexa looked at him disappointedly.
"I'm sorry I don't speak rat, okay? Just wait a bit Chen will be here,"
Tian scurred over a half-asleep child in her arm.
It was a pity to wake him up but if they had to stay safe, it was better to plan ahead. Sacrificing a bit of sleep was okay.
Chen woke up dazedly. "Dad…"
"Chen baby, do me one favor. can you translate what Trexa is saying,"
Chen nodded, wiping his eyes.
Trexa gave out a few squeaks.
Chen nodded occasionally. "She said the children and quails have earth ability and they can make a burrow. They just don't like getting dirty so they never used their powers,"
Fan raised a brow. "oh, that's great,
If that was true then they can create an underground trap and if the zombies were in fact following them, they would step on it without even realizing it.
Trexa went to the chickens and squawked something.
Chen translated it. They all looked like they came to an agreement.
"They want extra chicken," Chen said, gazing back at his dad.
Fan raised a brow. "Extra female chicken. We can see if we can find one nearby….
"no, they want to eat chicken,"
Fan and Tian were baffled.
"They are chicken," Tian said dully.
"Yeah, and they want to eat fried chicken," Chen repeated with a giggle.
"But they are chicken, they want to eat their own kind?!" Fan said in shock.
Chen sighed. "Dad aunt chickens don't care what they eat. They are omnivorous. And it looks like they like eating fried chicken that Coco secretly fed them. they say that if we feed them chicken, they will help dig."
Fan and Tian agreed to this with a weird expression on their faces.
