Chapter 384 - 384 - A treasure
Zou Yue looked back once again. He could feel it. a looming presence coming close. But in the dark, he could only see a distance. After that, it was all dark. He still kept a vigilant eye around.
"Come in, I'll keep watch," Tian touched his shoulders.
"Nah, I'll stay awake… I feel like something is following us," Yue held baby Zara in his hand. She had gotten up just ten minutes ago, and she fell asleep right after he changed her.
Tian sat beside him gently touching Zara's feet. "Is marriage hard?"
Yue raised a brow. "it's not hard. I think. I have only been married for a few days. I can't tell you all the nitty gritty, but personally, for me, I feel amazing." He leaned close with a wide grin. "I just love calling him husband. I don't know but it's a warm feeling. It's all tingly and warm..."
Tian slightly blushed. "I see… I think Juda feels the same."
"I think you do too," Yue gently kissed Zara's little fist. "I'm sure you're going to be one of those wives who go around boasting about their partner."
Tian chuckled. "Most likely, yes,"
Yue gazed into the distance with a deep frown. "I feel him following us Tian... why is he stalling? Does he fear us or... is he being cautious."
Just the thought of facing such a dangerous creature left him fear-filled. he could barely control the tremble of his hand.
Tian held his hand gently. "He must be scared of me."

Baby Zara suddenly opened her eyes and peered at them.
"But that bit.... deserves that name," Tian grumbled. "Baby Zara don't you think so? tell your daddy that your aunt is the strongest. Who can defect, miss Tian, the great,"
Zara cooed and snugged against his chest.
"See she agrees with me."
Yue smiled at his sis. "Thanks for being the for me Tian,"
"I'll always be there for you," she hugged him softly.
Right then Fan came out of their temporary tent and walked close. "Looks like I disturbed a moving a brother-sister moment,"
Yue pulled him down to sit close. "Darling, did you put Chen to sleep?"
"Hmm, he was out like a bulb. That kid has been using his powers too often. It's not that good for his development. I tried to talk to him but he won't listen. Yue, can you talk to him tomorrow?"
"Definitely," Yue leaned on Fan's shoulders. "How do you think Liwei revived himself?"
This pushed their conversation to a dead silence.
Yue gazed at them both. "I saw him die."
"Maybe he found a mystical treasure like that lotus we have."
Yue nodded. "Maybe..."
In his past life he had heard of treasure like this. in fact, he had heard about this lotus as well. Back then the old grandpa mentioned that Fan was as blind as a bat for a few years into the apocalypse and when he ate the lotus, he seems to regain his sight.

Every time he could remember little Trexa stuffing a lotus seed in his face. It was also back then he developed his second ability. Even Fan was fed that seed once and he evolved his ice ability.

He hurried into the tent and found little Trexa all rolled up in Chen's arms beside puppy Coco.
He carefully lifted her up and walked out of the tent.
"Trexa, baby wake up. wake up," he gently nudged her soft cheeks.
The little rat snuggled into his hand, refusing to look up at him.
"Baby come on this is very important. I need your help," he desperately poked her.
Little Trexa opened her small beady eyes. "squeak, squeak squeak squeak..." her small squeaks sounded like a complaint.
"That lotus seed, how many do you have?"
She froze up. hesitantly she held up three fingers.
"I know you have more than three. Come on, spit it out. We need it," Yue gently squeezed her cheeks hoping to have a seed pop out.
"Squeak!" Trexa hugged her cheeks refusing to let him touch her.
"We can get more for zombie girls," Tian added.
Yue slightly glared at Trexa. "Fine you can have it, but you can't steal more from zombie girl's flower pods. It's all mine, got it?"
Trexa nodded like she was pounding ginger.
Yue let her go into the tent and went to find the zombie girl.
The little zombie was sitting in the furthest corner of their tent holding her small bunny plushy.
Her whole body was covered in lush green leaves and beautiful lotus flowers.
He noticed a few seed pods.
"Little girl can I have some of your seeds?" he gently touched her head.
She nodded swiftly.
"Good girl," Yue plucked three seed pods and walked out of there as silently as he could.
He then pushed one to Fan and another to Tian. "Eat up guys. If we are going to fight Liwei we need to level up."
