Yue burned down a few close to him with the thunder bold and so did Fan but the zombies were relentlessly moving close. They were literally piling over the dead corpses trying to get to them. it seems so different from their behavior before.
Frowning, Yue peered at the level four zombie close by. 'Why?'
The zombies that were surrounding them all seem to be attracted to the zombie girl with weird leaves on her hair. "Fan let her down." He did not feel good with his husband holding that girl. If the zombies hurt his Fan he did not know what he would do.
As if understanding his words, the zombie girl struggled and bit and jumped out of Fan's arms.
She silently stood in front of crazed zombies, gazing with curiosity with her head tilted. The zombie ran to her with gusto. Yue and Fan tried their best to counter their ability attacks with thunderbolts.
A large area of the road was scotched with a lot of charred bodies on the ground. even so, the zombies were super relentless. they were like drugged teens rushing towards their life-saving drug.
The zombie girl seemed unfazed by all this. she silently looked at them with a pout.
Suddenly she turned back and pointed to him.
Yue backed up slightly, hugging Chen tightly. "Fan... are you sure she is not deadly?"
"She is similar to Lilly," Shao whispered. "I think,"
"She doesn't have any bad intentions," Tian added.
Only after that did Yue sigh. "But why is she pointing to me,"
Tian ran up to him and plucked the small bunny from Chen's hand., "she wants this," she tossed it to the zombie girl.
The young zombie girl caught it and hugged it with a smile.
Right after, she turned to face the rushing zombie hoard. With her mouth open she let out a small squeak and soon the whole ground started to tremble.
Beneath their feet, a few weird wiggles were felt.
Yue tightly held Fan. "what's going on!"
"Back up everyone," Tian pulled everyone back making sure no zombie got close.
The zombie girl stood standing in the midst of a whole bunch of zombies unmoving, all of a sudden, huge roots started to pop out of the ground entangling the zombies around them.
Yue watched in horror as each of these zombies turned to skeletal form in just a mere second,
Thousands of zombies fell in just a second and the young Zombie girl was unfazed. The green leaves on her body started to grow even more and soon a whole bunch of beautiful lotus flowers bloomed on her arms and her legs.
"squeak~~~" Trexa jumped out of Chen's pocket and ran to her.
"Trexa! Stop it!" Yue ran after her but Fan grabbed a hold of him.
Trexa bravely jumped on the zombie girl and started to harvest the mature seed pods. With ease, she stuffed it into her cheeks. Pouch. After doing so, she patted the zombie girl's back.
"Qui?"
"squeak~" Trexa pulled at her skirt and gestured for her to come to them.
The zombie girl ran to them with a grin and held up the bunny.
Yue watched dazedly at her. "This is not my imagination, right?"
"no… she did that." Tian took the bunny from her hand and gave it to Chen.
Chen happily accepted it. "Thank you so much," he gazed at her with a grin.
Both the kids seemed to be happy to have gotten acquainted. But the adults were apprehensive. Yue did not want his son to be acquainted with a dangerous zombie. Even though she appeared tame right now, she could easily eat them up in seconds as she did with the other zombies.
Chen is just a child, and he was not strong enough to fend for himself. Exposing him to a dangerous entity like her would only end up in disaster.
But Tian does not seem to think so.
She squatted on the ground with a small smile. "You did well. Thank you so much."
The young girl held up both her arms as if asking for a hug.
Tian hugged her and lifted her up. "Come on let's get out of here before more of those things get here."
They ran to their cars and got in. Yue's car was already gotten totaled by the zombies stomping all over it but thankfully the car Fan came in was in great shape. They all squeaked inside and sat there in an awkward silence.
The Zombie girl was placed in the back seat right beside Yue and Chen.
Fan kept an eye on her to make sure she didn't make a move.
"I don't think they will let us enter the base." He whispered with a soft sigh.
Shao who was driving et car also sighed. Right now, they had a zombie on board. It was obvious they won't let them pass. "We can make her pretend to be dead."
They all looked at the zombie girl.
She cutely smiled and laid down on the seat. But her legs were shaking with excitement.
"Can you try that without all the shaking?" Tian gently pulled her shaking legs to a stop.
The little girl opened her cute blue eyes and peered up at her. but somehow, she seemed to understand Tian's command. Soon she laid there, pale and dead.
It did not look like she was dead, but more like she was sleeping.
"Well, that work." Fan gazed at Shao.
"We might have to add her to the trunk…. but the trunk is…." he stopped the car and opened the bloody trunk for them to see. There were random pieces of flesh and blood pooled on it.
This was a sight everyone was used to, but seeing it so blatantly made Yue cringe. "Here?"
"Yeah, I always bring the zombies into the base in my trunk. they won't notice and plus we need to make it seem like she is nailed down by my nails." he made a fake nail out of his metal ability and attached it to the back of her neck.
the zombie girl curiously touched it.
"But do we seriously have to put her in there?"
but before Yue could decide on it, Tian carried the little girl up and placed her inside the trunk.
The zombie girl happily smiled up at her.
"Now do as we practiced. no moving. Play dead. if you do well, I'll play with you all day,"
The girl's eyes widened in excitement. She immediately plopped down on the pool of blood and closed her eyes.
The sight of her in the bloody pool made it even more disgusting.
Yue grimaced. "let's get in as fast as we can... …"
Shao gazed at them with a grin. "The isolation cells in the other poison cells can be a great hiding spot. after all Lilly is also there,"
"You haven't fed Lilly yet. Is it safe to send another zombie in there?" Tian worriedly forward.
Shao did not answer this question as he did not know what will happen if he put two level seven zombies altogether. No one has tried it.
After all the level five and higher-level zombies always tend to live alone like lone predators. And the lower-level zombies never approach them/ they are very territorial hunters.
If this little girl joined in, Lilly might even try to attack her or they might even turn out to be accomplices and friends.
Till now he did not know what will happen.
But he was willing to risk it.
