Tian ignored the clan noisy bozo behind her and entered the said theater in a hurry.
at the entryway there was a toppled popcorn machine and inside was an undead just chilling.
When they appeared, the zombie did not even bother to attack them. it rolled up its empty eyes to look at them blankly and then continued to roll itself up in a ball.
This small interaction confused Tian even more. She had only met zombies that would blindly attack them and try to eat them. Not ones who looked defeated and lost in life.
'Not the time to be distracted.' shaking her head, she ran in.
"Wait! I believe a level seven zombies live in there… we can't just walk in there without a plan. the last time we did that you ended up like that…" he whispered massaging his brows.
Tian shook his hands off. "Who asked for your help? Get back to the car and wait. I'll be back in two minutes."
"No!" shao grabbed her hand tightly. "I'm not letting another one of my cousins get hurt under my watch. I will not allow that!"
Tian coldly slammed the back of his neck.
When he collapsed, she grabbed him carelessly by his collar and tossed him into the car. She kindly made sure to lock the door before she went to find the meteor shard for her brother.
There was a high probability that Yue got hurt because of this stupid bozo. With an incompetent partner by your side, even the best warrior would fall.
'Why didn't Yue let us know he was going out? That too with this bozo' She gritted her softly as she stepped over the popcorn machine.
The zombie inside trembled slightly. it shook its head as if was warning her not to enter.
She weirdly gazed at it. 'This world is getting weirder by the day…'
A few mutated plants were growing on the walls, showing off their colorful purple and pink flower. Each flower was as big as a human head. And the whole place was covered in those things.
They seem to be evading the sunlight.
When she walked close, the flowers let out a soft oof of yellow dust toward her.
Tian calmly burned them all and then proceeded to burn the whole wall. She only needed to find the rock. So she dealt with everything with a heavy hand.
The whole place was up in flames clouding up the sky. A huge mushroom-like cloud of smoke was forming on top of it.
"GRRRRRRRRRoowlllll," a huge growl shook the whole place.
The burnt walls in front of her all shook violently. Her fire went out instantly by a huge gust of wind. all of a sudden, the whole ceiling caved and fell right on top of her.
Tian hurriedly escaped the ceiling coming down on her by dashing over to her car.
A small black figure flashed by her side.
Tian immediately threw a concentrated ball of blue flame its way.
But the small figure disappeared and reappeared a little further from her.
A little girl zombie stood there with a rabbit squishy in her hand. if it wasn't for the black veins on her face, she actually looked very normal.
Tian did not lower her vigilance. Yue had mentioned that in his past life, he had seen young zombies like these. They were the most dangerous out of all because they do not fear anything. They retain that monstrous hunger of a younger person so they number of corpses they consume is naturally higher.
The zombie girl zoomed her way so fast that there was a track forming under her footsteps.
Tian carefully stood there looking all around her. The moment the girl appeared close, she made sure to hit her with her flame bombs.
But the zombie was quite insistent. It kept rushing to her and hiding behind something.
Tian who wanted to end this fight easier was having a hard time killing this thing.
"won't you stop playing with me!" she let off a flame bomb again.
The zombie actually giggled. It giggled!!!
That was when she realized. This zombie was actually playing a game with her. Like a child would.
It was fascinating.
"Are you conscious?"
The zombie girl peeked from behind the popcorn stand and nodded.
"You can understand me?"
The zombie nodded once again.
Tian was baffled beyond words. She picked up a small doll from under the debris and held it up to her. "If you can get me something, I will give you this,
the zombie girl gazed at the doll with interest.
That didn't work out, so Tian moved on to a new tactic. "Why... why don't we play inside? There are a lot of spaces to hide I there."
The zombie girl excitedly nodded and ran in.
Tian hurriedly ran in after her.
the whole theater was filled with a ton of plushies. Each and every one of them is in a different state of distress. One of them had their hands trimmed off and a few had their heads missing. It was terrifying to look at.
The zombie girl jumped into the pile and blended in with ease.
'How the hell am I going to find that rock… fuck... I can't waste time like this.'
"Listen little girl. Do you need a friend?"
The zombie girl pouted she head out from the pile of dolls and looked at her with a confused head tilt.
"a friend is a person who can play with you and have fun with you. Do you want that person?"
The girl's eyes went wide ever so slightly. She then nodded hurriedly and darted over to her.
Tian coldly gazed down at her. "I'll be your friend. But on one condition. I need a stone. A bright blue shining stone like this," she held up the meteor shard to her.
The girl peculiarly gazed at it and nodded.
"If you get it for me, I'll be your friend forever. And we can play all you want."
"sccreee~" she softly screeched and jumped into the pile of dolls.
Tian did not stand still. She pushed away a pile and started to search for the said rock.
