688 Big Surprise (2)

He appeared beside them, as if from a mirage.

“Island Lord, take a look inside,” Xu Jingming said, returning the pendant to Spacetime Island Lord.

She took it from him and examined it closely. What she saw inside made her eyes widen with amazement.

“The creator of these 20 miniature universes is unfathomable when it comes to creating universes. They far exceed me. They should be half a step into the third realm of the cosmic spacetime lineage,” she murmured in awe.

“This is indeed very helpful to me,” she added, nodding.

“It’s more helpful to Senior Brother Redmond,” Xu Jingming said.

Redmond looked at him quizzically.

Spacetime Island Lord’s eyes narrowed as she considered this new information. Then, a smile lit up her face as she said, “You’re right. These 20 miniature universes are more helpful to Redmond. It should be said that… they are very helpful to every Firstborn realm.”

“Redmond, take a look,” she added, handing him the pendant. He took it from her and peered inside at the 20 miniature universes.

Redmond had also studied cosmic spacetime for many years and had gained a lot, but he was also puzzled.

“Wh—”

Redmond was stunned as he murmured, “Every cosmic law of the 20 miniature universes is completely different, but they influence each other and collide with each other, forming a perfect cycle. This is a stable perpetual system. The creation of a miniature universe can actually be done to this extent? I—I just need to grasp a little bit of it to establish my inner universe, right?”

“It was very helpful for me when it came to establishing my inner universe in 7,000 years,” Xu Jingming said.

Xu Jingming was a man who trusted humanity. But after his mind was sharpened by the Eight Directions Map, he knew one thing for certain: as a high-dimensional lifeform, he had to be cautious, especially when he was weaker.

So he established a rule for himself. He needed the beast hide space that could isolate karma, hidden away in the Heart Realm. Only with the dual protection of the Heart Realm and the beast hide space could he withstand the dangers that lurked in high-dimensional space.

Heart Realm Eternals were strong at self-preservation, but their lifespans were not long. Xu Jingming knew that there were too many dangers out there, and he couldn’t afford to be careless!

He even used Spacetime Island Lord’s pendant to contain the 20 miniature universes he had taken out.

Redmond was thrilled. “With these 20 miniature universes, I think my chances of establishing an inner universe are several times higher.”

“Several times higher?” The dean examined the pendant and exclaimed in surprise. “It’s indeed a huge help in understanding spacetime. If our human race had such treasures a long time ago, we would’ve had a few more Eternals.”

The early days of the human race were tough, and even an Eternal legacy was rare. It was difficult to go from the Firstborn realm to the Eternal realm. However, the resources available now were much better.

“It will get better and better in the future,” Spacetime Island Lord said. “With our preparations over the years and these 20 miniature universes, the probability of the human race’s high-dimensional lifeforms reaching the Eternal realm will increase in the future.”

“This is indeed a surprise,” the dean said, sighing with relief. “The human race will become stronger in the future.”

But Xu Jingming shook his head. “That’s not the surprise I’m talking about.”

The dean, Tower Master, Island Lord, and Redmond were stunned.

Xu Jingming flipped his hand, and suddenly, a jade-green book materialized in his grip.

“This book is the original copy of a legacy created by the third-realm existence, Feather Fire Lord,” Xu Jingming said with a grave tone.

“Third realm?”

“Original legacy?”

The dean and the others were a little stunned.

Xu Jingming’s expression was solemn as he spoke. “It has been extremely beneficial to my Heart Realm lineage. It’s precious enough for half-step third-realm powerhouses to fight for it.”

The legacy in question had been originally obtained by none other than the invincible half-step third-realm powerhouse, Liu Mangxing.

The man had six half-step third-realm means at his disposal, making his strength unimaginable.

It was no easy feat to reach the half-step third realm, and most people could only grasp one half-step third realm technique, with grasping two being considered rare.

Grasping six?

According to the high-dimensional lifeform, his father had brought him traveling to countless dangerous places and came out unscathed. His father had never met a match despite traveling to many dominions.

Xu Jingming suspected that… the so-called invincible Abyss Sovereigns below the third realm were truly no match for Liu Mangxing.

“The legacy is called the Eight Directions Map,” Xu Jingming continued. “With my knowledge, I believe it will be helpful to every Eternal. The news of this legacy can’t be leaked. Once it is leaked, it will be a calamity for our human race.”

If half-step third-realm powerhouses were already fighting for it, what would happen if word got out?

The Eternal Tower Master wasted no time in taking out an Abyss contract and writing the contents.

“Everyone, sign a contract first,” he said, passing it to the dean, Island Lord, Redmond, and Xu Jingming.

They read the content and left their strength imprints.

As high-dimensional lifeforms, their powers were unique and contained their minds and consciousness.

As the only five high-dimensional lifeforms in the human race, they trusted each other greatly, but the implications of this legacy were too significant. They were still bound by an Abyss contract, just to be safe.

“Eight Directions Map?”

Xu Jingming cautiously handed the Eight Directions Map to the dean, who was the oldest and wisest of the human race.

The dean took it and sent his consciousness into it, ready to accept the legacy. An hour passed before the dean handed it over to Eternal Tower Master, who sat next to him.

The dean sat back, his eyes closed, and a look of serenity appeared on his face as he savored the knowledge he had just received.

It took Eternal Tower Master a full hour to absorb the legacy, and even with his calm temperament, he couldn’t help but tremble with excitement as he handed the map to Spacetime Island Lord. Eternal Tower Master then sat back in his seat, his mind whirring as he absorbed the knowledge.

“Tower Master, why did you lose your composure?” Spacetime Island Lord asked as she received the legacy from Eternal Tower Master.

When it was over, Spacetime Island Lord handed the book to Redmond. “Redmond, go back to your residence and study slowly. With your consciousness’s reception speed, it might take you a month or two to finish accepting it.”

“Alright.” Redmond took the book and returned to his residence alone.

The dean, Eternal Tower Master, and Spacetime Island Lord looked at each other.

“If I could attain Great Freedom, I would never fall into the Abyss,” Eternal Tower Master said, his deep eyes glowing with an unprecedented light.

“If I could attain Great Freedom, I would never be lost in the infinite spacetime of the universe,” Spacetime Island Lord added with a grin.

“Great Freedom,” the dean murmured, his eyes filled with the birth and death of stars.

Xu Jingming watched from the side.

The Great Freedom realm was necessary for the Heart Realm lineage to reach the third realm!

The mind had a profound impact on any lineage, for it was the very core of any living being. If only the mind could be liberated, then the future would be boundless.

The dean shot a sidelong glance at Xu Jingming and flashed a grin. “Jingming, this ain’t your run-of-the-mill surprise. It’s a damn shocker.”
