669 Stirrings

Gumo spent five years studying the future of the three dominions.

I’ve observed a total of 92 different possibilities in the other three dominions. There are no signs of an apocalypse. Gumo heaved a sigh of relief. Clearly, this apocalypse is only targeted at the Fengyi 97 dominion.

I wonder what causes this apocalypse.

Gumo was also a little puzzled.

It couldn’t be helped; the dangers of high-dimensional space were endless.

For instance, even Eternal life forms had limited lifespans despite being nominally eternal, lasting only an Abyssal Era on average. The owner of a ruin that Xu Jingming once explored, Granddreamer, was a powerful Eternal from the Heart Realm lineage, yet he only lived for half an Abyssal Era.

A half-step third realm was considered a very powerful existence in high-dimensional space. Perhaps living for ten Abyssal Eras was already considered a long life.

Is the apocalypse a natural crisis of high-dimensional space, or is it caused by a third-realm existence? Gumo wondered. A game among Third Realms could bring destruction to countless beings.

Gumo looked out and saw a stocky figure outside the door through the layers of obstructions.

“Uke,” Gumo said.

Upon being contacted telepathically, the figure—who was guarding the mountain—greeted him respectfully, “Progenitor.”

Gumo traced the threads of karma, learning what had happened, and instructed, “I’m aware of Tutenmu.”

The stocky figure asked respectfully, “Progenitor, what should we do?”

Gumo replied calmly, “Human Wu Ming is another future Eternal realm powerhouse of the human race, and he’s from the Heart Realm lineage. It’s normal for Tutenmu to struggle against him. Don’t worry about it.”

The stocky figure was surprised. “Eternal Realm of the Heart Realm lineage?”

The Void Celestials hadn’t produced a Heart Realm Eternal Realm powerhouse in a long time.

Gumo was unbothered.

In the grand scheme of things, Wu Ming was just one of many high-dimensional life forms rising and falling from the futures he had seen.

“Tutenmu drove himself insane by tinkering with his test subject. Don’t pay him any attention! If he has any kind of power, he can bring himself back to reality. But if he can’t unlock his ancient memories dating back tens of thousands of years, which have been suppressed by the deceptive memories of the illusory realm, then there’s no point in wasting our time on such worthless trash.”

“Yes, Progenitor,” the stocky figure replied respectfully.

“Get the nine supremacies to come to me,” Gumo instructed.

The figure was secretly surprised—there were still some Eternals in the Black Lotus Realm, but the nine supremacies were the most powerful members of the Void Celestials and the core brass of the Black Lotus Realm.

Moments later.

Gumo sat at the head of the massive hall with the nine supremacies below him.

A thin figure, with a smile on his face, spoke up. “Progenitor, why have you called us here?”

“We are here to discuss the migration of our species,” Gumo said sternly. “We must leave our home universe and start anew.”

The nine supremacies were stunned.

“Species migration?”

“Wh—”

“The entire species?”

They couldn’t believe what they were hearing. They had always lived in their home universe and couldn’t imagine leaving it behind.

“Yes,” Gumo nodded. “A disaster is looming, and our species needs to migrate.”

Supremacy Cloud Acres chimed in, “Back when Monhado—who was half a step into the third realm—died in our homeworld’s universe, it caused a war among high-dimensional lifeforms over his legacy. The aftershocks resulted in the extinction of countless species in our homeworld’s universe, allowing for the birth of the Void Celestials. Progenitor, with your strength, you can protect our homeworld’s universe even in the face of a similar disaster. What kind of disaster could you not stop?”

The nine supremacies gazed at Gumo.

Gumo’s gaze swept over the nine supremacies. “This disaster must be kept secret.”

“Yes, Progenitor,” the nine supremacies replied.

Only then did Gumo say, “It will affect our entire Fengyi 97 dominion and wipe out all living beings in the dominion. Even half-step third-realm existences will not be able to survive it.”

The expressions of the nine supremacies changed as they realized the gravity of the situation.

A disaster that affected the entire dominion?

“The entire dominion is vast and limitless. Even Eternals have to use special channels like the Mother Stream and the Heart Realm to leave this dominion,” the thin figure remarked. “Ordinary Eternals can’t leave this dominion.”

Different dominions were isolated by spatial layers. Ordinary Eternals couldn’t cross it, much less Firstborn realm high-dimensional lifeforms.

“Progenitor, migrating our species on a large scale will not be easy. The weaker the species, the harder it will be for them to survive in new environments. We Void Celestials were born and have been reproducing in our home universe, where the laws of the universe best suit us. If we migrate to another environment, the laws might not be favorable and result in many deaths and extinction.”

“Yes, an Origin lifeform may survive intense changes in the environment, but for cosmic and planetary lifeforms… The weaker they are, the easier it will be for them to die.”

“Progenitor, on what scale will the migration of our species take place?” the nine supremacies asked.

“At least 10% of the planetary lifeforms will have to be migrated on a large scale,” Gumo stated firmly.

“10%?”

The nine supremacies felt the pressure. This scale was too massive.

“I will enlist the help of other high-dimensional lifeforms to customize a miniature universe that will emulate the laws of our home universe with at least 90% similarity. The success of the migration will depend on luck,” Gumo continued.

The nine supremacies were overjoyed at the prospect of a customized miniature universe.

There were many who were good at creating miniature universes, but it was extremely difficult to customize them and emulate over 90% of a universe’s laws. Moreover, they had to be suitable for weak planetary lifeforms to live in.

“I will make arrangements for the customization of the miniature universe. You all must make preparations for the other matters quickly. We must migrate within an Abyssal Era, or the risk of accidents increases,” Gumo urged. In the future branches he observed, the apocalypse could arrive at any time.

“Yes, Progenitor,” the nine supremacies replied, feeling the pressure of the situation.

The Void Celestials would face a major challenge when they embarked on their mass migration. They needed to leave their home universe and find a new one that would allow them to reproduce and survive on a large scale.

However, the original factions in the new universe wouldn’t make it easy for the Void Celestials to take root.

“Progenitor,” a thin figure spoke up, “the other species in our home universe will definitely discover our migration.”

“They will be puzzled and uneasy when they do, and I believe they will be willing to pay for information about it,” Gumo remarked calmly. “We will have to pay a hefty price for our migration, but when the time comes, we can fleece these aliens and make up for our losses.”

“The mere fact that they can obtain news of the apocalypse through resources is a blessing.” The nine supremacies saw it as a normal part of the process. They were more focused on their own species and didn’t care about the fate of the aliens.

Home universe, human dominion.

Xu Jingming’s army of clones fanned out across the habitable planets, studying the emotions that pulsed through the world. They eventually coalesced into his Intent Samsara World, where Xu Jingming honed his skills every time he achieved a new breakthrough.

Intent Samsara World.

Despite the possibility that Tutenmu could sense the Intent Samsara World, Xu Jingming made no effort to hide it.

The creation of the Intent Samsara World was a direct result of my journey through the first two realms of the Eight Directions Map. If Tutenmu doesn’t have a solid foundation, let him try and enter this world. He may just find himself spiraling into the endless misery of samsara. This was the plan hatched by Xu Jingming, a trap he set with precision. Whether it would be successful or not was left up to the fates to decide.

Suddenly, his army of clones smiled triumphantly.

I succeeded. I’ve finally cleared the Eight Directions Map’s test.

Xu Jingming was delighted. He had finally mastered the Intent realm of the Eight Directions Map, passing the test in the third space with the help of his newly created Intent Samsara Map.

I’ve achieved some mastery in reaching the Eight Directions Map’s Intent realm. Xu Jingming could sense his improvement.

Originally, his Heart of Cleansing Lotus was like a clean lotus, like a clean mirror that was unaffected by all powers. This was a form of self-sublimation.

The Eight Directions Map’s Joy and Anger realm, Seven-Colored realm, and Intent realm only deepened his control over his emotions.

I now have complete control over all my emotions.

Xu Jingming was a master of his emotions. He could not only feel each one individually, but he was also able to untangle the complex web of emotions that often intertwined.

Primordial Research Institute headquarters, Xu Jingming’s residence.

Xu Jingming used the Sin Flower to condense the Cleansing Lotus Fire.

Love is said to be the most torturous thing, Xu Jingming thought as he gazed upon the Sin Flower, filled with endless sins. But to me, emotions can be categorized—single, mixed, and beyond life and death.

Why can some emotions sway the mind?

Why can some emotions transcend life and death?

Xu Jingming knew very well that he could even create such an illusory realm and let living beings experience such emotions.

Only with desire can there be emotion! Only with emotion can there be sin. Xu Jingming looked at the endless sins. If it were some puppets and machines, they wouldn’t have emotions. No matter how great the massacre was, there would be no sin.

A truly frightening sin required a fusion of intense emotions such as love, hatred, and others.

Sin-ridden?

Xu Jingming held the bearing of a true Heart Realm powerhouse, using the sins to condense the Cleansing Lotus Fire. However, his only weakness was that the Heart Realm Force he could use was too weak.

Being just a low-dimensional lifeform, he was nothing compared to high-dimensional beings. His limited Heart Realm Force restricted his strength.

If he could increase the Heart Realm Force, both the illusions and Cleansing Lotus Fire would reach a new level.

The strength of the mind determines the level of secret techniques.

Let me take a look at the other tests of the Eight Directions Map. Xu Jingming felt the Eight Directions Map’s help to him. He was already cultivating the Heart Realm’s fourth level and was determined to reach new heights.
