Chapter 101: Don't Waste Your Breath on Him

She heard the rushing footsteps and saw the blaring flashlights, but she didn't pay them any mind.

These fuckers were going down. She would make sure of it.

"Stop it!" Bai Ye Qing screamed, his voice filled with panic. They didn't. "Stop it!" he chanted.

Qian Meng finally paused and turned to him slowly. She removed the goggles from her eyes and dropped the bat to the pavement. A gasp escaped Bai Ye Qing's lips as he realized who had destroyed his car.

"Qian Meng," he uttered in disbelief.

"That's Miss Yun to you," she sneered, tipping her nose high. "You can use the money from the mansion you received from Mo Yize as compensation for the car," she declared.

Bai Ye Qing finally realized there was another person at the scene.

Mo Yize looked at him from on top of the car, her hair wild and her eyes burning.

"Retribution is a bitch, isn't it?" she said, her voice devoid of emotion. "Never betray a woman, Bai Ye Qing."

"You know what they say… Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."

Yun Qian Meng had never felt better.

"You've lost your mind!" Chen Yue screeched. Mo Yize flinched at the high-pitched sound and crouched down on the roof to come down.

Seeing her struggle, Yun Qian Meng extended her hand and grabbed her elbows. She helped Yize off and ignored the infuriated mother and son pair as she walked towards her phone.

She was about to brush past them when Chen Yue grabbed her.

Qian Meng felt her anger surge. "I just desecrated your son's precious new car. But I'm not satisfied. Do you really want to try me?" she asked in a low and threatening voice.

The hand fell and she sauntered over to the phone and picked it up. She turned the volume down and fast-forwarded through it, feeling satisfied with the result.

They looked ravishing in their fury. It was evidence of what they had done and proof of the extent of the act. She kept it as a contingency plan if these people acted stupid and pressed charges.

"You won't get away with this!" the older woman seethed. Qian Meng glanced at her and didn't speak.

"Mom, she has some misunderstanding…" he trailed off.

"Misunderstanding?" Mo Yize repeated in a grave voice.

"You should be careful about what you say," Qian Meng warned.

"I have evidence for every single thing you have done. And you'd be wise not to piss her off." She jerked her chin towards Mo Yize. "That's Mo Building Solutions' shareholder. The youngest child of Mo Zichen."

Bai Ye Qing paled.

"You should have done your background check before fixed on a target. She's more gullible than me." Qian Meng smirked at the nasty glare Yize threw at her. "Ah, also… we used to be best friends in university. You should really do your due diligence when looking for targets to mooch off."

"Don't waste your breath on him," Yize frowned. She had already started to walk away in the direction of the main road.

Qian Meng shrugged as she looked at the mother and son pair. "Mr. Bai, we meet again. Hopefully, we'll meet under more pleasant circumstances next time." She gave him a polite smile and a bow before turning.

"I'm going to sue you for vandalism and threatening our lives!" Chen Yue screamed. They saw her shoulder shake and her head lower and thought she had been intimidated, but Qian Meng was snickering.

She threw one hand up and waved at them, never sparing them a glance. "Best of luck! See you in court, then."

She caught up to Mo Yize.

"Did you have fun?" she asked, a bright smile on her face.

Yize turned to her, her expression looked like she was having more fun than ever. Which was surprising.

"Yes!" she replied without thinking. "We should do this again," she claimed.

"I'm sorry. I don't want to be around to see you jilted again. It's not a good look on you." And then she pressed her lips together to stop herself from chuckling. "Also, just because we have a common enemy, we are not friends."

Yize huffed. "Did I say we were friends? Homewrecker," she grumbled under her breath. "Tell me, though. Why did we have to wear your brand clothes?" That part had confused her.

"Why, when you desecrate things, you should do it in fashion. Also, I would rather you spend your money at my establishment." She grinned slyly.

"Crafty fox."

Qian Meng suddenly remembered that they couldn't catch a cab from this part of town at this hour. Having no other option, she unlocked her phone and dialed his number.

He picked it up on the first ring.

"Pick us up."

"From where?" he asked, acting all innocent.

"I know you followed us," she informed him. He was silent for a few seconds.

"I can see you from here. Come quickly or the residents will call the cops on me." He hung up quickly.

"Who was that?" Mo Yize asked curiously.

"Your brother," Qian Meng informed flatly.

"From when did the two of you get so chummy?" That surprised the sister. She hadn't introduced them to one another. When she had told Qian Meng before, the woman had flat out refused to meet her brother.

Reason? Unknown.

But the look of hatred on her face had told Mo Yize that these two were like oil and water. Never to get along.

"We are not chummy."

They reached the car and Qian Meng instinctively pulled the front passenger's side door open. She slid in looked to the side to find Mo Qingchen sitting there.

Yize waited outside, dumbfounded. Eventually, she composed herself and got into the car.

The two people in the front seats sat rigidly.

"What's stuck in your ass?" she asked, scrunching her nose. "Why are you even here?"

"I had to see two stupid women run around the city in the middle of the night, getting ready to ambush some man who did them wrong." His voice held thinly veiled anger.

"Well, we came out victorious, didn't we?" Mo Yize retorted with a hint of pride.
