1891 Chance Encounter! Rejected! (3)

The group of students who were with Feng Mo were also extremely surprised.

“Leader Wan Dong, who are they?” Feng Mo’s expression shifted slightly. Tong En and the others quickly engage in conversation with Wang Teng right after they ignored him. This made him somewhat uncomfortable, so he couldn’t help but ask.

“They’re a fairly well-known team, and the identities of the people inside are not simple. Don’t provoke them,” Wan Dong’s expression grew serious as he spoke.

Feng Mo clenched his fist, feeling extremely resentful towards Wang Teng. He had just achieved the first place on the Freshmen Leaderboard, only to be swiftly displaced by Wang Teng. He knew that many people were making fun of him.

It wasn’t easy for him to come out on a mission with a team of old students, especially on the Scorpion King Star. He would be able to increase his ability.

He had thought that upon his return, he could surpass many new students. The next time he encountered Wang Teng, he would make Wang Teng realize who the stronger one was.

Unexpectedly, this opportunity came during the mission.

Fate had a mysterious way of working!

Of course, in Feng Mo’s eyes, this wasn’t fate at all but rather a case of unfortunate encounters.

His hasty attempt to distance himself from Wang Teng was motivated by a small scheme. He didn’t want Wang Teng to join their team and receive assistance from the senior students.

However, he hadn’t anticipated that while his team refused to accept Wang Teng, another team would express interest in him.

This left him feeling extremely frustrated.

Mind you, he had paid a considerable price to join the team of senior students, including aligning himself with their faction and offering some benefits. Meanwhile, Wang Teng had done nothing, yet another team was actively seeking his inclusion.

Why was the difference between them so huge?

“Wang Teng, are you interested in joining our team?” After chatting for a while, Tong En finally extended an invitation.

Wang Teng paused for a moment, pretending to ponder the offer. In reality, he had already decided to decline. After all, these individuals didn’t seem to have much luck, and he preferred not to team up with them.

“I think I’ll pass. I prefer to work alone,” Wang Teng finally said, appearing somewhat hesitant.

“In that case, let’s leave it at that…” Tong En thought Wang Teng had agreed, and a smile appeared on her face. However, her smile swiftly turned awkward, and she looked perplexed.

“What? You’re not coming with us?”

Several of the new students who had wanted to join the senior students’ teams for missions were stunned to see Wang Teng declining their invitation.

“He actually refused??”

The onlookers were equally astonished by the scene, their faces displaying disbelief.

A new student had just rejected an invitation from the Snow Child Team!

Feng Mo’s eyes widened slightly, and his previously stiff expression now appeared somewhat comical due to his astonishment.

Wang Teng declined!

Suddenly, he felt kind of empty.

What he valued seemed insignificant in someone else’s eyes. He casually rejected it as if it were nothing.

“This kid!” Wan Dong’s face turned gloomy, and he felt a slight burning sensation on his cheeks.

This new student dared to refuse an invitation from a team of senior students. Didn’t this mean that they were worried for nothing?

He had no intention of joining their team. They were just thinking too much.

“I’m sorry, but I’m used to working alone, and I’m afraid that joining your team might affect the harmony of the group,” Wang Teng said, feeling a bit embarrassed by Tong En’s reaction. He swiftly added an explanation.

“Well… that’s quite a reason,” Tong En collected her bewildered expression, looking at Wang Teng speechlessly.

She wasn’t stupid. She knew that Wang Teng was just making excuses.

What puzzled her was why he had declined them.

Was he looking down on them?

That wasn’t right. The five of them were only at the heaven stage but they weren’t weak. Their images within the academy were not small.

Could it be that he didn’t know their strength?

“Wang Teng, you’re alone and this is your first task. I’m afraid it will be very dangerous.” Wei Na glanced at Tong En and helped to persuade him.

She knew why Tong En wanted Wang Teng to join in them. It was about extending favor to him, hoping for his assistance later on.

This mission to Scorpion King Star was related to that matter.

“Yeah! Wang Teng, going alone is very dangerous. Join us. I’m not bragging, but our Snow Child Team has substantial strength. You can look it up on the internal web to see what kind of team we are,” the young man from the Ape Race, Yuan Bai, chimed in.

“Furthermore, our Snow Child Team has a great atmosphere. We don’t involve in a lot of internal fights. We cooperate and earn points together. We share benefits, and even if you’re a new student, we won’t look down on you. As long as you contribute enough, you’ll get a corresponding share,” Bi Yao explained.

The onlookers were increasingly incredulous at the Snow Child Team’s enthusiasm.

Had they lost their minds?

Wang Teng had already declined their offer, yet they were eagerly inviting him. What happened to the dignity of senior students?
