Chapter 452: Despair? Finished (1)

Since it was an island close to mainland Australia, there were many people who fled there, but they still mainly talked about the Land of Despair in a very pessimistic mood.

At that moment, somebody came up right behind me and said, “We’ve been waiting for you, Juyoung Hong.”

Of course, I wasn’t startled at all because I already knew that someone was approaching me quietly.

I also guessed who he was.

So I asked in a low voice, “Are you from the Carnabon Guild?”

“Yes.”

The Carnabon Guild was one of the top three guilds in Australia.

So my father and Director Sok told me that they had contacted them in advance before I left for Australia.

In fact, Australia was the first place where the Land of Despair appeared first, so it was never a bad choice for me to seek the help of a local guild like the Carnabon Guild to help carry out my job here.

When my father and Director Sok contacted them, they welcomed my visit with open hands.

Escorted by the man from the Carnabon Guild, I headed to their headquarters and entered a building under tight security. When I stepped inside, somebody familiar was already there waiting for me.

It was none other than Brandon, who became the leader of the Antalagos Information Guild after its former leader Oliveira was killed by me.

“It is nice to see you again, Juyoung Hong.”

“It seems that it’s a pretty complicated matter, given that you have come to this place in person considering that you must be very busy as the new leader of the Antalagos Information Guild.”

Anyway, I fully recognized that the Antaragos Information Guild was really competent as far as gathering intelligence was concerned. Nonetheless, the fact that its new leader visited this place right after he assumed the top position meant that the situation was very serious.

As if to confirm my guess, Brandoe replied gloomily, “Yes, that’s right. RIght now, they’re provoking us after betting everything on their goal. As you know, they have even destroyed the place they are supposed to return to.”

“Are you referring to Kuhana where they used to live?”

I had no problem at all in understanding what he was trying to say because I had already spent 36 days there.

“That’s right. Kuhana, or the place where they lived, is gone. More precisely, it is collapsing on itself and is being destroyed. As such, the Land of Despair that has taken root on the earth will continue to expand until it covers the entire planet.”

“Does that mean that even the oceans can’t stop it?”

“Nope.”

“…”

If somebody had told me that, I would have taken it with a grain of salt, but this was from the Chief of the Antalagos Information Guild in person.

Moreover, in the next few days, the Land of Despair will take over the entirety of Australia.

In other words, the Antaragos Information Guild’s chief would not be stupid enough to lie to me like this when I could find out whether it as true or false in just a few days.

Of course, that wasn’t a problem for me at all because I had my trait, All Buffs, All Debuffs. Moreover, I had enough mana that could sustain me all day long, or for the rest of my life even if I used Fly.

But the great majority of them were not in the same position as me. In fact, everybody except for me would have no other choice but to be bound by the Land of Despair.

And those who failed to raise their reality actualization rate by reaching level 1200 would die immediately the moment they set foot on the Land of Despair.

When I thought about it that way, I realized this was really a big, big problem.

In the end, I thought that the Land of Despair encroaching on the land little by little was similar to the black liquid man, the owner of the 4th Royal District, who appeared in Argentina some time back. But this was not a small matter, but a global problem called Kuhana.

Anyway, I talked with Brandon about some other matters for almost 30 minutes.

I valued the information from the Antaragos Information Guild, but the information that the Carnabon Guild, one of the top three guilds in Australia, acquired through human intelligence was equally important.

A little later, I continued to move to the south from the Tiwi Islands using Fly, then Blink with zero cooldown. Shortly afterward, I could see the red and black waves that spread so wide that I could not see their end. The scene itself was spectacular.

“Aaaaaaaah! Help me!”

“Damn it! What the heck is this?”

“Please, hold my hand!”

There was already an exodus of people from mainland Australia.

But not all people could flee freely. That was especially the case with the general public.

Australia is obviously a continent, but depending on how they look, it’s also true that it’s a huge island surrounded by ocean on all sides.

As soon as I saw them, I used my skill right away.

“Ice Wave!”

Even though my target was the Land of Despair, it also encompassed some of those who were fleeing. But I didn’t use the five skill overlaps, nor did I use my limited skill, Savant, because I needed to check out lots of things first.

It was true that the lives of those in front of me were precious, but there were certainly

many more important lives than them.

Of course, the Carnabon Guild said they tried their best to block the Land of Despair because they could never afford to let it expand its territory day by day.

The black liquid man who appeared in Argentina also did similar things by spreading black liquid everywhere, but in the end, I succeeded in stopping him by attacking the black liquid itself.

The Carnabon Guild guys said they targeted the Land of Despair itself, but their attack was useless. Of course, that might not be the case with me.

Even if I did not use the five skill overlaps or the limited skill Savant, I had my Intellect that increased tremendously compared to before, and the weapon in my right hand was the +15 Enhancement Ice Emperor’s guardian sword.

But there was no change in the Land of Despair despite my attack.

[...]

In the meantime, those ordinary people who set foot on the Land of Despair were killed immediately.

So I waited for some time to evaluate the situation.

Clearly, my intellect has increased tremendously, and my Ice Emperor’s guardian sword has also been enhanced to +15, which, in turn, buffed the cooldown and skill of my ice-type skills. As a result, my level 10 skill showed tremendous power.

In fact, in Kuhana, my level 10 skill showed off its mighty power when I used it to attack the rulers of the Royal Districts in Kuhana for the last time.

When the cooldown of Ice Breath was back, I shouted, “Ice Field! Multiple Thin Ice!”

Pasasasasasak!

I laid out Ice Field and Multiple Thin Ice first, then I followed it up with the most powerful linking skills.

“Blizzard! Ice Tornado!”

Puck! Puck! Puck! Puck!

Wheeeeeeng-

I kept using level 9 and level 8 AOE skills in a row.

But that wasn’t the end of my attack, so I launched more attacks while sustaining my AOE skills. “Ice Punishment! Frost Spear!”

Bang! Bang!

Ice Punishment was now level 9 courtesy of the recent upgrade, while Frost Spear was my new level 8 skill.

And finally, I used Ice Breath with five skill overlaps to deal a fatal blow.
