Chapter 78 Stink-POCALYPSE!

It didn't take long for the trio to find the dormitories…

"I wasn't expecting this…." Aisha stood before it, her mouth wide open. Why did this thing look more like a prison block than an actual dormitory?!

It was completely made out of a strange material that was obsidian-colored, and it was shaped like a big rectangle. Why did it look like a sturdy wall? And what were they supposed to do with that?!

But just as they were all baffled, a female student chuckled as she amicably explained:

"Pfft— You guys look like you've seen a djinn! Don't worry; this is just the barrier around the place. The administration was tired of dealing with all the relationship drama, so they put this ugly thing at each dormitory and called it a day!"

That explained a lot!

"So… how do we enter?!" Aisha asked.

"You take the key you received and imbue your Mana into it. The first time you use it, it will get branded to your Mana Signature, then you just have to keep it on you. See?"

She mischievously jumped forward, both feet together, her entire body disappearing in the obsidian… passing right through! Then she kept repeating the same process.

"See? In, out, it's that easy!" She giggled.

"Oh, that's neat!" Jack remarked.

"I know, right? Now, you two, come with me!" She grabbed Aisha and Lizzy by the hand, enthusiastically bringing them to the other side. But then she realized her mistake.

"Oops, I got so excited that I forgot about your manservant. Poor guy's stuck on the other side all by himself— W-WHAT?!" A face had just appeared through the barrier, Jack passing through.

"Y-Y-You?! How did you do that?!" The poor girl was now pointing at him, stuttering. She would have probably reacted better if she had seen a ghost!

"I copied you guys… I'm in the same room as them." He offhandedly remarked. This was expected: The Flame Lord having insisted that he NEVER separate from Aisha.

But to the girl before him, it was a HUGE deal!

"Holy shit! Oh my freaking god?! Are you a prince or something?! Wait, no, a eunuch?! Wait, don't tell me you're actually a girl in disguise?! Which is it?!"

Never had Jack seen someone so eager to gossip. Holy shit, how freaking bored was she?! More importantly, why were her eyes glowing?!

"Ah, right. What's your name? Where are you from?! What's your favorite food? What kind of—" This wasn't mere questions; this was a goddamn inquisition!

Yet, somehow, an unyielding aura overflowed from her as she opened a floating system-like magical notepad interface, ready to type it all.

T-This looked just like a holographic screen he had seen in his previous world… and the system had clearly inspired it!

"Wait... Before that, what's this?!" His eyes were glued to the magical notepad.

That's when the tables turned, Jack suddenly seeming like the zealous one as he kept observing the thing from all angles. This looked so damn cool!

She raised a brow, surprised by his interest.

"This? Just a side project of mine, why?"

"Side project? That's a side project?!"

"Yep, made it in Enchanting 101."

The girl nonchalantly replied, seemingly not realizing her creation's potential! Wouldn't it make the perfect "online-order" look-alike?! It was perfect for FoxZone!

He hurriedly grabbed her dainty hands, gazing deep into her green eyes and approaching, his breath hurried as he pictured the possibilities.

"You, I need you! Come work for me, and build me more of those, whatever this thing's called!" Jack straightforwardly pleaded.

But that's when the girl's brain stopped working, right after "You, I need you!" actually. As for the rest? She hadn't heard any of it! She didn't reply; she just bolted away, panicking!

— ZOOOMM! After all, it had been her first time getting confessed to!

She had merely left when a thud suddenly resounded, another group of female students gawking at them from afar. In their shock, they had dropped the books they carried.

"Hahaha! Kid, you just stole a heart!" The Old Ghost was already making fun of him.

"Quick, let's find 1337." Jack sighed.

How long could it take to find one room? The answer was hella long! What should have been a straightforward mission had suddenly turned to hellish difficulty.

This felt like a freaking Zombie Apocalypse, with tons of curious girls at every corner, eager to bombard him with questions until he couldn't take it anymore.

Even repeating "Busy, talk later!" didn't seem to cut it anymore. This became even worse when a group of gossiping girls ambushed them, blocking their way!

"Hehe, who are you?! How did you get a key?! Did you steal it? How much did you bribe the Headmaster for it? What happened to—" They were insatiable... and had cornered him!

Jack seemingly gave up as he stopped running.

"Fine. You want answers? I'll give you answers…." They bubbled with excitement. "I won't repeat my Story, so open your ears, eyes, and noses wide! He warned.

"Pfft— You're a strange one!"

"Eyes and noses? What are you—"

That's when Jack used his secret weapon! Just as they thought they had won, he released the stinkiest Stink Cloud he could generate!

The wave spread like a torrent, engulfing the entire dormitory. What had been supposed to buy them time had been WAY more effective than planned!

The trio quickly bypassed many female students struggling not to barf. Curiosity killed the cat, as they said… or stank it in this case!

Amidst the smelly chaos, they found their target. It was a lone door that looked quite simple. Yet, as they crossed it, they felt like they were in another world.

"Damn, this thing's as big as a 5-room apartment… and luxurious!" Jack exclaimed, reveling in the tactful decoration, from the mage art to the jewel-embedded chandeliers.

Had the Flame Lord pulled some strings to get them better treatment? Either way, the place was perfect for their needs.

"Calling the biggest room for my lab!" Lizzy declared.

"Fine, I'm taking the quietest study!" Aisha said.

"Good, I'll take everything else, hehe," Jack concluded.

They happily settled down, their door solidly closed. Yet, little did they know that a particular Stink-Cloud spell had gone utterly out of control.

It had quickly dissipated… only to be stopped by the obsidian barrier and reform even stinkier than before! What had started as a harmless prank spell turned into a catastrophe!

The dormitories slowly and surely became unlivable until… "WE-WOO! WE-WOO!" Evacuation Spells rang in the quiet afternoon, shattering the Academy's quiet!

Sadly, this was merely the start…

"What the heck is this? So noisy." Jack complained.

As for the one who had started it all, he was blissfully oblivious, enjoying his new student life! He'd have a LOT of fun in this place!
