Boom!

The battle went just like Shin had expected. With Arthur and Leonard leading the charge, they were able to break through the blockade of enemies in their path. They were also not going to get trapped with the enemies' rank since they were now being supported by the skeleton soldiers summoned by Chaotic Luck.

The opposing side still had their organized attack and solid battle formation. But this time, Shin didn't let their side be overwhelmed by it.

He utilized the battle formations within his mind to fight on equal footing. He couldn't do complicated offensive and defensive patterns due to the limited number of soldiers, but he was able to use their strength to the best of their abilities.

Moreover, Arthur and Leonard were already unrivaled on the battlefield after using every buff that they could use, so all Shin needed to do was support them from behind and prevent the opposing side to surround those two.

He was not planning to drag this fight since they didn't have much time for it. Aside from the limited amount of mana that Chaotic Luck had, they also needed to concern themselves to possible ambush from their other enemies.

This was the reason why Shin asked everyone to go all out. Arthur and Leonard even entered their Elemental Spirit Possessions during the fight, maximizing the performance that they could demonstrate.

They were practically using everything they had aside from the Reality Manifestation which served as their trump card if ever the strongest soldiers of the opposing side finally showed themselves and joined the battle.

Aside from that, Shin was also satisfied with the performances that the others were showing.

Black Hand and Ara were doing great at commanding the skeleton archers. They were properly covering the frontline. They were also eliminating the units of the opposing side that could be a threat to Arthur and Leonard.

Shin didn't have to give them any command as Black Hand could also read the battlefield pretty well. That priest was also a strategist just like himself and someone who ranked pretty high in the list of players with great achievements in that area.

S.Tigris was the same. He was leading his independent unit and swept through the battlefield. He might not be as strong as the two gods leading the charge at the frontline, but his performance was pretty much the same in terms of quality.

He was weakening the forces of the opposing army by always striking the weakest link of their opponent's formation.

He was also able to sense the danger that was heading his way which was why he was able to always escape before the disaster arrived.

And with his tacit understanding of Black Hand, he was able to coordinate their attack without communicating with each other.

Their combined forces were comparable to what Arthur and Leonard could achieve at the frontline.

Aside from them, the mage unit led by Ember and Ravier was also in a realm of their own. These guys only had a single job and that was to obliterate the opposing side with their overwhelming firepower.

All they had to do was to throw their spells at the opposing side, away from the place where Arthur and Leonard were fighting. And since the other party didn't have mages in their ranks, no one was able to match their assault.

This further bridged the gap between the two forces. They might have smaller numbers compared to their enemies, but since the other side was only composed of knights and a few archers in their ranks, they lacked the flexibility that Shin and the others had.

Moreover, there was also the independent team of Cloe, Owen, Alucard, and Charlotte, who were tasked to hunt down the strongest figure present on the battlefield from the opposing side.

Before those powerful knights could even showcase their strength on the battlefield, this group would only strike them down and immediately eliminate the threat that they had.

At the same time, Cloe was also using large-scale buffs that strengthen the whole army. She was also using a series of healing spells from time to time, making the skeleton soldiers last longer.

And since the Legion of Chaotic Sun carried some of the sacred properties from the fallen god Solus, they could receive healing spells with holy properties from her.

Not only that, but Cloe also had a sacred field moving alongside her, so she could weaken the surrounding fallen knights by standing on the battlefield alone. This made her the most fatal member of the group, especially her offensive spells with holy properties which was the bane of undead monsters.

Due to her presence, their team became the focus of the opposing side. Their threat level was even higher for Arthur and Leonard. But since they were skilled enough to handle themselves, they were able to escape every time they got targeted.

Moreover, Shin was also paying extra attention to them, so he would be able to respond in time whenever their opponents tried to trap their group. pan(da-n0vel.c)om

Given that he could see the entire battlefield from his position, he would always spot the movements of the opposing side. Due to that, he would be able to figure out if they were moving their force toward Cloe and the others, and that was when would launch a counterattack that further weaken the opposing forces.

In the meantime, while Shin and the others were performing to the best of their abilities, the commanding officer on the opposing side, Grand Marshal Draco couldn't help but be impressed at their performance.

"These younglings are not bad," commented the grand marshal while watching the battle from the distance.

He paused for a moment before slightly turning his head to the side, looking at one of his most trusted aides, and asking. "What do you think, Nel?"

A step behind his left side stood a man clad in full-body armor that had fancy patterns drawn on its surface. And the most noticeable pattern on it was the dragon designs on each of his shoulders.

This person was one of the warrior knights of the Dragon Knight Army. He was also the strongest among their ranks. And along with his iron mace that had the same length as longswords, he ruled over the frontlines and was known as the Vanguard King.

He was also observing the battle from the rear of their forces. And when he heard the words from the grand marshal, he immediately nodded his head and gave his remark. "I agree with you, my lord. If these group of young heroes could easily rise in the ranks if they are in our land."

"Right? I know that their talents are comparable to those young'uns that we left in the Capital," said Grand Marshal Draco with a laugh before pausing as if he remembered something. "Oh! I guess I can't call them 'young'uns' anymore. After all, a lot of time already passed since we left, so I am sure that they are all grownups now!"

He then turned to the other person standing on his left side before asking. "What about you, Caelum? Do you also see some promise from this bunch?"

On that side stood a man with handsome features despite being cursed to be a fallen human. Aside from the paleness of his skill he was similar to dead people, everything else about him looked very human.

He had a warbow hanging behind him, indicating his class. And if Vanguard King Nel was the shield and the spear of the Dragon Knight Army, then he was the Archer King of their forces. The man who supported their army from the back with his bow and arrow while the frontline was busy slaughtering their enemies.

Caelum bowed respectfully at the grand marshal before replying. "They are indeed very talented, my lord."

He then paused for a moment as if he was hesitating about something before closing his eyes and continuing. "But from what we have seen so far, most of these young heroes are from the Greater and Transcendent Races, so this performance is only natural for them."

Hearing that remark, Grand Marshal Draco clicked his tongue. "After all of the years that we spent here without doing anything but wait for the prophecy to happen, you still haven't change. Your standards are still the same."

The moment when the grand marshal mentioned the prophesy, both Nel and Caelum flinched for a moment before turning their head back at the battlefield.

And after a moment of silence, Nel finally voiced out his doubts. "But, my lord. Are you sure that these young heroes are the ones who will free us from our curse?"

Grand Marshal Draco smiled bitterly. "You already witnessed it. The souls of our comrades are already been freed by them. Lycan also acknowledged them, so there is no need for us to question it."

"We may have failed our mission, but I can see the hope that these guys would achieve the goal that we want," he added as his eyes were suddenly filled with longing.

He was silent for quite a few minutes before starting to talk once again. "We have maintained our sanity thanks to the guardian dragon who sacrificed a part of his authority to save us."

"But we all know that the power of the curse is already catching up to us. We can't wait any longer even if they are not the ones who we are waiting for."

"What we can do right now is to make sure that they have enough strength to face the challenges waiting for them."

After saying that, Grand Marshal Drago signaled the two to join the battle. "You two can go ahead and enjoy this moment."

"We may have been cursed by the Wicked One, but it can't rob our honor. We are going to fight this battle with all we have as it is going to be our final battle.

"And then die an honorable death!"
