Chapter 1261 Myriad Transformation Swordsmanship (Part 2)

...…

Shin and the Sword Phantom stood a few distances from each other while taking a sword-drawing stance.

They had accumulated their momentum for a few moments before simultaneously stomping onto the ground and sending themselves forward.

Bang! Bang!

They had propelled themselves forward while carrying great momentum during the charge toward one another.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

When they reached the ideal range to attack, they simultaneously unsheathed their swords and swung them forward – one chose to throw a forward stab while the other decided to go for a horizontal slash.

Shing!

Shing!

'Quick Draw: (Sword Phantom Version) Moonlight Splitter'

Shin did not use the 'Solar Breathing Technique' to reinforce this attack since he felt that the explosiveness of the fire element did not fit this fast exchange.

From his perspective, the metal element of the 'Golden Immortality Technique' fitted the situation more, especially when he chose the forward stab instead of the slashing attack.

He did not modify the original technique and stuck with its original form while relying on the penetrative nature of the mental element.

Sword Phantom, on the other hand, felt that Shin had a stronger momentum for this exchange. It instinctively sensed that it would not make it in time.

After a quick calculation, the Sword Phantom quickly realized that its attack would not be able to reach Shin before the tip of the [Yamato] pierced through its head.

Being decisive, the Sword Phantom quickly changed the trajectory of its attack and decided to hit the incoming sword of its opponent and redirect its original course.

Clang!

The two brushed past each other as they continued to move forward after the brief exchange.

But they quickly halted their advance upon passing each other and quickly turned around before charging at each other once again.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Clang!

Yet another brief collision occurred as they repeated the earlier exchange. But instead of pausing, the two continued and repeated these exchanges multiple times.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!

The two transformed into a streak of lights that danced around the whole Trial Ground and kept on clashing against each other. They continued these exchanges and produced a rhythmical sound for every collision of their swords.

They only stopped at the center of the Trail Ground with a powerful clash.

The ground beneath their feet shattered upon the collision which was immediately followed by huge web-like cracks that spread in every direction.

The two took a step back to create enough space for them to sheath their swords back.

There was a slight pause in their movements before they exchanged a series of sword-drawing strikes that produced loud explosions for each collision of swords.

Clang! Clang!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Boom!

They were continuously sheathing, unsheathing, and swinging their swords during the exchange while also moving in circles at the same time.

They paired their actions and movements with skillful footwork to gain perfect positioning during the exchanges.

These intense clashes continued until the Elemental Clone, which was thrown far away earlier, regained itself and re-joined the battle.

Taking a glance at it, Shin knew that the Elemental Clone had also absorbed some of the residual energies of the Doppel Phantom and Eclipse Clone given the overwhelming aura that was covering its body.

Seeing that the Elemental Clone charged at him from behind, Shin quickly shifted his positioning and adjusted his stance.

He wanted to face them together and test the limit of his current strength.

Swoosh!

The Sword Phantom instantly recognized the slight advantage that they had. It took this opportunity to press Shin with a more aggressive series of attacks.

Coordinating with it, the Elemental Clone adjusted its route before accelerating its charge.

Shin understood their intention and quickly adjusted his breathing.

This time, he would be using the three breathing techniques simultaneously and reinforcing his battle capabilities with their respective strengthening effects.

The 'Golden Immortality' and 'Great Dominator' Techniques enhanced the strength of his body. His already strong battle physique had become much stronger due to the physical reinforcements that these two techniques could provide.

His skin, muscle, and overall body toughness reached another level while the density of his bones greatly increased the explosive strength that he could release.

With this current physique, he could also move his body much faster. Even though he still lacked a certain level of flexibility, the mobility that he could showcase with this current physique was already more than enough for what he could ask.

In the meantime, the 'Solar Breathing Technique' had purified the energy circulating within his body. It also cleansed the mana pathways that they were taking, making them flow much smoother and faster.

The mana within him had also become much purer and denser due to the power of the 'Solar Breathing Technique,' which directly affected the skills that he could use. Their overall effects would be much stronger compared to before.

He kept an eye on the Elemental Clone while exchanging blows with the Sword Phantom.

And when he saw the small gap in their coordination, he quickly pounced and seized it like a ferocious beast.

Swoosh!

He suddenly kicked the ground and strode forward, engaging with the Sword Phantom at a very close distance.

He tightly held the sheath with his left hand and pressed it on the arm of the Sword Phantom, preventing the latter from pulling its sword from its scabbard and putting a stop to the sword-draw attack that it was able to throw at him.

It was the weakness of the sword-drawing style that Faker had repeatedly told him before. So long as someone was able to prevent him from pulling out his sword from its sheath, then they would not be able to do anything.

He could not find any opportunity earlier since the Sword Phantom seemed to be very of this move earlier.

Well, he was also doing the same, which was why he was constantly moving his feet earlier and keeping a decent space between him and the opposing side. With neither far nor near space between them, he could freely attack or retreat depending on the situation that he was facing.

When the Elemental Clone tried to join the battle, Shin showed some signs of retreating, baiting Sword Phantom to chase after him and press with its attacks.

This created the gap that he was looking for and stepped forward, erasing the gap between him and the Sword Phantom within an instant.

Aside from preventing the Sword Phantom from doing anything, the Elemental Clone was also forced to circle them for a better angle for attack.

The Elemental Clone felt a little uncomfortable attacking Shin from behind when he and the Sword Phantom were locked in such a close position. It was afraid that the Sword Phantom would be caught in its attack by accident.

The Sword Phantom naturally wanted to disengage from Shin. It was forced to retreat and create a distance between them.

But when it was moving away, Shin took the initiative to push the Sword Phantom with a strong force, making it lose its footing and stumble back.

With Shin's current physical strength, which was reinforced by the three breathing techniques, that simple-looking push was strong enough to throw such a strong clone off balance and fall on its butt.

Seizing the opportunity, Shin raised the [Yamato] in the air and enfolded it with the three elemental mana under his control.

Bang!

The Elemental Clone quickly took that opportunity to charge ahead. It could be seen that the Sword Phantom would suffer greatly from this attack even if Shin could not finish it off.

The sword on its right hand seemed to have disappeared during this charge. Or to be more precise, the sword seemed to have merged with the greatsword on its left hand before holding it with both hands.

Swoosh!

A sonic boom could be heard when the Elemental Clone made its move.

Shin saw it and could not help but slightly frown. But he still did not stop his actions and swung the sword down while it was being reinforced by three elements fire, earth, and metal.

He ignored the Elemental Clone who was dragging its greatsword with both of its hands while also reinforcing it with the same elements.

Shing!

Swoosh!

Both sides seemed to be on the same speed on the surface, but the Elemental Clone knew that Shin still had plenty of time to escape after killing the Sword Phantom with this attack. At most, he would suffer a series of damage during the process, but he was confident that he would survive.

Making a quick calculation inside its head, the Elemental Clone changed its approach and chose to stop the sword descending toward the Sword Phantom.

Swoosh!

Boom!

The explosion upon the collision between the two swords was so strong that the wind current sent in every direction cleared everything in its path.

Bang!

There was a brief pause before the ground sank due to the strong force and created a deep and huge crater on the white floor of the Trial Ground.

The Sword Phantom, which was still trying to recover itself from the previous fall, was forced to lie on the ground due to the residual force that the sword of the Elemental Clone had failed to nullify.

"Tsk!"

Shin could not help but click his tongue due to the failure to finish off the Sword Phantom. It was such a perfect opportunity, but the Elemental Clone decisiveness and right decision prevented him from the desirable outcome.

He also blamed himself for using such a sword technique that he was not familiar with earlier.

That previous downward slash was strong due to the unification of the three elements. But it was just made during the spur of the moment because of the overwhelming elements that he controlled through the three special breathing methods.

It was not done with a proper technique, but he felt that it was the best that he could do at that moment.

The effects could be seen in the aftermath of the collision.

But despite his disappointment, Shin quickly regained his composure. There was no need to cry over spilled milk.

He quickly pulled the sword back while retreating with a couple of steps backward.

He then spun around while sheathing the [Yamato] with a very smooth motion. When the sword was put back in its sheath, he was already assuming another sword-drawing stance, ready to strike with another attack.

The Elemental Clone quickly responded and positioned itself in front of the Sword Phantom, which was still lying on the ground.

Click!

The subtle sound of the sword being pushed out from its sheath could be heard.

Then the surrounding air seemed to have solidified and contracted after the sound rang throughout the Trial Ground.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Then a series of sword flashes could be seen intervening with one another and forming a crisscrossing net that enfolded surroundings within the five-meter radius around Shin.

'Jade Kirin Scripture: Quick Draw (Metal Form) – Flash Firmament'

Shin used the penetrative force that the metal element had instead of the explosiveness of the fire element or the heavy properties of the earth element.

Moreover, he could move much smoother and faster, which fitted for the current situation.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The Elemental Clone used the greatsword on its hands to block the sword slashes by swinging it or by using the surface of its broad blade.

When the storm-like assault ended, the Elemental Clone decisively took a step forward while raising the greatsword with both of its hands.

A moment later, the sword was suddenly separated into multiple swords in different types and forms. Each form was also covered with different elements, clearly indicating that this move would be a big one.

"D*mn! This one is going to be dangerous," mumbled Shin when he saw the elemental swords surrounding the Elemental Clone.

"But I don't have the time to experience it right now. I will deal with you later," he added as he unsheathed the [Yamato] once again and swung it horizontally, sending a blazing crescent wave forward.

Shing!

'Jade Kirin Scripture: Quick Draw (Fire Form): Solar Flare'

Swoosh!

Boom!

lightsΝοvel.cοm The blazing sword wave flew forward and hit the Elemental Clone, which was in the middle of casting an ultimate move.

Since Shin prioritized the speed of the attack, he could not put too much strength into this attack. But he used the explosive fire element to send the Elemental Clone flying during the explosion.

It was more than enough since his current target was the Sword Phantom, which he found as a more troublesome opponent later if it was left for the last.

Bang!

Stomping on the ground, Shin sent a strong ripple of energy under his feet and activated one of the self-created skills under his arsenal.

'Self-Created Skill: Solaris Pillar'

The ground within the thirty-meter range away from him suddenly glowed with fiery light. Then it exploded as a blazing pillar suddenly shot toward the sky, extending up to ten meters.

Being within the range of the skill, the Sword Phantom was caught in it and was thrown in the air due to the strong pressure of the blazing pillar.

(-120,234), (-25,999), (-15,523), (-10,024), …

The skill did not deal much damage since Shin had yet to covert it into a martial skill or mentalism technique through 'Reality Manifestation.' Because he did not have any proper skills or techniques from the real world similar to it.

But at the very least, this skill was more than enough for the current situation. His main goal was to prevent the Sword Phantom from escaping and restrict its moments.

It could never be more perfect when he saw the Sword Phantom being thrown in the air by the blazing pillar, making it very vulnerable to any attacks.

With another sword-drawing stance, Shin suddenly strode forward and positioned himself a couple of meters away from where the Sword Phantom was about to fall.

He did not wait that long as the Sword Phantom was already falling toward the ground along with the residing pillar of flame.

Click!

It was at that moment when Shin unsheathed the sword and threw a series of slashes that seemed to have been thrown at the same time.

Shing!

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Aside from Shin's movements and the sound of his surroundings cutting through the air, nothing seemed to have happened.

It wasn't until he sheathed the [Yamato] back along with the locking sound of the sword that something occurred.

Click!

'Jade Kirin Scripture: Quick Draw (Metal Form) – Flash Requiem'

Shing!

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

A delayed series of sword flashes assaulted the Sword Phantom, who seemed to have been suspended in the air.

The body of the Sword Phantom was sliced and diced by those attacks, killing it in the process. It then turned into a thick fog of energy that headed to the Elemental Clone in the distance.

When Shin looked over, he was still wearing a calm and relaxed look on his face.

"One to go," he mumbled while getting ready for the final round.

But the expression on his face suddenly turned stiff when he saw what was happening to the Elemental Clone.

A twisted and constipated look seemed to have surfaced on his face as he cursed himself. "F*ck me! I think I just committed a grave mistake."
