68 A Sleeping Volcano
Five minutes passed quickly as a figure quickly exited the alleyway...
The three individuals looked at the back of the figure as Jim uttered.
"Zeras Celestria and Quinn Voidspace huh... Search their information out, Durango... Let's widen the game's stage a little more bit, shall we..."
"Found it." The husky voice of a young man echoed through the dark alleyway as the three figures covered by the darkness gathered together "The Quinn Voidspace is a little bit of a problem, Jim..."
"How so, Durango..." Jim asked the short young man who looked to be around 18 with a height of 1.7 meters and wore a black reading glass on his face.
Durango looked at his watch as he saw the information about Quinn Voidspace which made him knit his eyebrows together.
"According to what I can gather from him, it said he's from the Voidspace family and he's also a major. Ranked second on the New Cadets rankings and cultivation at the Peak Star rank stage. He might be a little hard to deal with..." Durango said as he looked at Jim before him.
"Tch, those from the Nine families are truly a headache and hard to tame. Ignore him. What about the other one..." Jim asked as he gave up on Quinn.
"Hmmm... He's very... strange. Except for Ranking first on the rankings, there's nothing else about him." Durango.
"What? That's impossible..." Jim immediately replied as he was well aware of the source of their information. It was an entry-level 2 authority that automatically brought about more than basic information about students, including their backgrounds and current cultivation stages.
Hearing no information from Zeras made him doubt a little as such a case of having no information is an impossibility. It means the EIA doesn't have any information about Zeras except that he ranked first on the New Cadets rankings.
"Are you sure?" Jim asked as Durango showed him the information provided on his watch and just as said. Jim could only see the picture of Zeras and a single line of information.
"Even the EIA doesn't have anything about him. That means he is either a really important somebody or nobody. I can't imagine him being so important the EIA didn't want to add his information meaning he's more of a nobody..." Jim said placing his hands on his forehead with a serious look on his face.
"So what do we do?" Durango asked.
"We test him... Check what's so mysterious about him and the final decision will be determined from the results. Just ignore him for now..." Jim said as the trio slowly moved into the darkness once again.
'I can see murder in your eyes Zeras. I hope you're worth the wait or coming to the EIA will be your greatest regrets...' The thought of the past exchange unfolded in Jim's mind as hatred flashed in his eyes but soon turned into a sinister smirk.

Zeras immediately jumped up from the bed due to the intense vibration of his watch.

<Drills begin in the next 30 minutes>
"Tch..." Zeras slowly stood up from his bed, reluctantly as he moved towards the bathroom to prepare for the day.
His body was still a mess but he could still walk around and jog around without falling. That was enough for the drills. Not attending the drills had a cost he wasn't willing to pay for so he had no choice but to ignore his pain and attend.
Zeras moved towards the bathroom door but stopped as he sat down on the sofa.
"Activate System's interface..." It was something he ought to have done the previous day but due to his tiredness failed to do.

The days quickly passed with the New cadets slowly awakening themselves to the new realities of life and familiarity with the new environment.

After the day's training ends, Zeras will move to the Cafeteria with Quinn and Vornek. The trio would sometimes meet up with Triton as Zeras noticed him being once again the cheerful chap he met the first time before they underwent the trial at the Monolith.
Even though he could see a strange expression appear on his face whenever he looked deep into his eyes, as if afraid of looking into his eyes. But Zeras paid not too much attention to that and was just happy Triton finally got over his fears and once again became the inquisitive young chap. This was the part of him that piqued his curiosity in the first place.
The trio slowly formed a deep bond between each other as they got more familiar as time went by. Zeras would immediately head back to his dorm room, once the training ended and after visiting the cafeteria due to trying to recuperate while Quinn, Vornek, and Triton would head to the Minor Training Area where they spent the remaining of their day.
Even though the trial now where more than three times harder for him due to his injured body, Zeras managed and he could feel himself growing used to his new increase in strength as his body slowly healed. He was like a sleeping volcano before but as his body healed, he could finally feel the increase in strength due to his advancement as he noticed he could use his genetic ability for almost double the time he normally used it for before.
Of course that was only when he was alone. He still wasn't planning on letting the world know about his genetic ability yet.
Time passed incredibly fast and before they could realize it, a week already passed.
Now was the time for the New cadets to choose their departments which would determine their training for the next three years and their direction of career in the EIA.
As for Zeras, he already knew which department he'd be choosing.
