67 Middle Star Rank Stage

The silence in the Mana cultivation room was chilling to behold and the once blue pool filled with Mana had dried up.

In the chilling silence, raspy breathing echoed throughout the small room with small grunts which could only be due to pain could be heard.

Down at the center of the now empty pool, the figure of a young man could be seen, around him, a pool of blood mixed with dark gooey impurities.

Zeras felt like he was about to burst like an overfilled balloon except he was filled with Mana instead.

The process of the Infinity Dark Devourer is hard. Firstly, one would have to breathe in a certain rhythm which will draw in the Mana in the surroundings into one's body almost limitlessly.

After reaching the threshold of the body being filled with Mana, one would have to direct the Mana inside the body into the Mana Core.

Zeras already absorbed the Mana into his body by using the Infinity Dark Devourer for 6hrs straight causing his body to be stretched to the limit.

After he felt he could no longer absorb more, Zeras finally stopped as he prepared himself for the next process.

Changing his set of breathing, the Mana in him suddenly began moving into his Mana core filling it up. Concentrating, while feeling his entire muscles completely paralyzed was hard, but with teeth clenched and remembering how he was the lowest in cultivation stage in the EIA.

He ignored the pain as he struggled to maintain that breathing.

Time passed quickly as 4hrs quickly drifted away never to be found once again a golden light could be seen flaring deep within the room, it was sourced from Zeras himself or to be exact his Mana core.

Zeras directed his consciousness into his dantian as he looked at the ball which had half of it glowing with a golden light depicting him to have filled half of his Mana Core.

His lips pursed together as he knitted his eyebrows, but he was affirmed when the system's notification appeared in front of him.

[Congratulations, Host has successfully reached the Middle Star rank stage.]

[All your attributes have once again been increased by +2]

"Hahahahaha....Argh..." A deep laugh escaped Zeras long when he saw the notification panel but a sudden pain immediately attacked his lungs, bringing his laughter to a sudden stop.

Reaching the Middle Star rank stage in less than 10 hours. It was an achievement that would shock the entire world but he just achieved that. The Infinity Dark Devourer was a great choice and losing his 400 points to it was well worth it.

But with advantages come disadvantages. The Infinity Dark Devourer was a self-harm technique that absorbs Mana endlessly in exchange for pain.

Normally, it should be impossible for a human to keep absorbing the Mana into his other body for 6hrs straight as the body will have longed to reach its limits before that time talkless of the pain.

Fortunately or unfortunately, Zera's body was stronger than the average Early Awakener and his body limits were still very far away from the norm causing him to store more Mana than the average Awakener would.

But that also means he would feel more pain than the regular awakeners due to having to go beyond the norms and he could already feel his muscles completely paralyzed.

Though he reached the Middle Star rank stage and even had an increase in his strength, his body was very damaged and he'll need a long amount of time to recuperate before once again using the technique.

Zeras slowly stirred himself up as his body which was lying on the ground turned upside down with his chest now on the cold tiled floor.

Exerting all the strength left him, he pushed hard on the ground with teeth clenched and a vein bulging on his forehead as he slowly made his way to the bathroom on all fours leaving behind blood and black dirtly impurities, the reminder of the Hellish moments he went through minutes ago.

The EIA training base looked more like a gigantic city itself, with different gigantic structures and long streets lighted dimly with the side light poles.

And if there were so many buildings present, the alleyways are no doubt to be present.

The EIA was structured into three areas, the First Year Areas, the Second Year Areas, and the Third Tear areas, with the three areas only crossing part if they were accessing some structures like the cafeteria and the Manual halls.

In an alleyway close to the second-year areas but still in the first-year territory.

A robed masculine individual could be seen walking on the deserted street which was barely lit.

He wore a blue-colored hoodie on his head, his hands tucked into the pockets.

Walking through the streets with his head down, he looked back and around him occasionally, and after moving ten more meters, he suddenly took a sharp bend as he entered a completely dark alleyway, illuminated by the light from the half moon in the sky.

The alleyway was completely silent and bone-chilling, but the figure stopped as he slowly knelt on the ground with his head bowed down, not moving a single muscle as he waited patiently.

Three figures suddenly appeared from the shadows around the place, as they stood in front of the kneeling figure.

Their face could be barely seen in the dim light but the two stars on their badges indicated their status of being second years.

"You came. It seems you possessed the most understanding In all your colleagues..." A voice said from the three with a hint of mockery within.

If Zeras was here, he would have remembered it was the voice of the second-year senior, Jim who tried to bully away their points from them in the cafeteria.

The kneeling figure didn't say a single word as he simply stretched out his watch and one of the figures swiped his watch on his.

"Ding..."

"+230 points credited."

"-230 points deducted."

The AI voice of the watches rang out at the same time.

"Good. Good..." Jim's sinister voice rang out as he slowly tapped his hands on the head of the bowed figure.

"You have done the right thing, kid..."

"Can I...Can I go now...And you won't disturb me again..." The kneeling figure said as he finally raised his head.

"You've done exactly what you're supposed to do. But I just need one more thing from you... an information that greatly piqued my curiosity. If you tell me, then you can finally go home, without having to worry about any second years disturbing you again...." Jim said as a red glint flashed in his eyes...

Five minutes passed quickly as a figure quickly exited the alleyway...

The three individuals looked at the back of the figure as Jim uttered.

"Zeras Celestria and Quinn Voidspace huh... Search their information out, Durango... Let's widen the game's stage a little more bit, shall we..."

Golden Tickets and Power stones are greatly appreciated. Let's move up the rankings too guys.
