Chapter 83 - Had she relly died?

The next day, Jing Lihua had to travel back to Beijing in the evening.

"Looks like I can’t avoid him." Jing Lihua sighed. She gave up the idea of calling President Li and sent him a message that she wanted to meet him in his office.

Suddenly a reply came.

Li Zhiqiang: "Do you want to continue what happened last night? However, the office might not be a suitable location for that."

When Jing Lihua read it, her face twitched. She knew he wouldn’t let her off. It was only her fantasy to think that he will forget what happened last night and treat it like it never happened.

Before she could type anything, another message arrived.

Li Zhiqiang: "However if you are that eager, I might arrange something for us."

Jing Lihua felt a sudden impulse to throw away her phone, stomp on it until it smashed into pieces.

Calm down Jing Lihua. He is just playing with me. If I lose my temper, he’ll succeed. I must not do that and reply to him with something that will shock him.

With a smirk Jing Lihua typed. "What happened last night was shoddy for me to be wanting more."

Li Zhiqiang. "I wouldn’t say that with the way you were gasping and the way your face was turning red."

Jing Lihua. "You greatly overestimate yourself, President Li. Like always you are overconfident."

Li Zhiqiang. "Give me a chance to prove myself and you wouldn’t be saying that."

Jing Lihua bit her lip. Heat crawled to her cheeks but she quickly subsided it by shaking her head. As if she would fall into his trap. She had already fallen more than enough times. He couldn’t try the same thing on her again.

Jing Lihua: "Not interested. When should I arrive at your office?" She prayed this time he would provide her a direct answer.

Thankfully he did. Jing Lihua sighed in relief. She had not much to do this morning. This evening she had decided to leave for Beijing.

"The first thing I should do is to give a visit to my grandfather. He surely knows something that I don’t." Jing Lihua knew her grandfather knew something but to what extent he knew was not known to her. "Maybe he doesn’t know that all."

Jing Lihua picked up her phone and send a text to Heng Bingwen. freewe(b)novel.com

"Any lead yet?"

After a long time, Heng Bingwen’s detailed answer arrived.

Heng Bingwen. "Not yet President. But the more I look into it, the more suspicious I get. The case of your mother is totally cleared. I can’t find any records. This, obviously, proves that the records were purposely cleared. And it, at the least, tells us that your mother’s death was not as simple as it appears to be. There has to be a big power which involved itself to clear the records."

When Jing Lihua read the message, she fell into a long contemplation. Her feelings were very complicated. She didn’t want her hopes to get high. Because she was scared that in the end, she would only be met with disappointment.

Jing Lihua decided to give Zhao Liying a visit to distract herself.

"Xiao Hua, how was your date with President Li?" Zhao Liying was all smiled. Jing Lihua had just entered her room when she said that.

"Let’s not talk about President Li, shall we?"

"I caught the sight of you running to your room late at night looking all flushed. What exactly happened? Did you finally commit a.d.u.l.tery?" Zhai Liying grinned.

Jing Lihua. "..."

Jing Lihua made herself fall on Zhao Liying’s bed.

"You look tense. Does it have anything to do with..."

"It has nothing to do with President Li. I’m just worried bout some stuff from work." Jing Lihua was the sort of person who liked to keep things to herself. Not because she didn’t trust anyone but because she didn’t want to worry others. Thinking about it Jing Lihua smiled. In the past days, she had shared a lot with that President Li.

She didn’t know whether it was a good thing or a bad thing.

"Just don’t stress yourself. Time find to spend with the ones you love. You know the ones..."

Jing Lihua knew what she was hinting at. "Why are you so obsessed with my relationship with President Li?"

"I’m just so happy that you finally got over Su Liwei. You have no idea the amount of disappointment every time you drooled over him. I couldn’t even badmouth him in front of you because you would have discarded me right away I said something against him"

Jing Lihua frowned. "I never drolled over him."

"You did. Remember the time on the night of your anniversary party? You were practically blooming. You were so excited to see him that you spent the whole night trying different outfits."

Jing Lihua did recall that night. She was very optimistic and naive at that time. Thinking about that, what she felt with Su Liwei was more of an obsession. Only after having her experience with Li Zhiqiang, she could tell what was a difference between fantasy and reality.

"That was the matter of past. I was young back then." Su Liwei had treated her coldly at the anniversary party. Being obsessed with him, she forgave him and even found justification for him treating her like that.

"Haha. are you kidding? It’s only been six months till then. How were you young then and not now?"

Because Jing Lihua had died at thirty. So her mind was not exactly twenty six now. From Zhao Liying’s words, she was reminded of that. Now all the reincarnation thing felt like a dream to her. Was it possible for someone to die and wake up?

Had she really died and reincarnated on her wedding day? Or it was merely a rush of foreign memories that entered her mind that day. And all of it... actually never happened?

There was no way to know.

Jing Lihua glanced at hr phone. It was almost time. Zhao Liying had helped her distract her. Jing Lihua said farewell to Zhao Liying and headed out. But on her way, she was stopped by Su Liwei.
