Chapter 31 - Don't shake an unconscious person
"You..."
Before Su Lanfen could say anything, Jing Lihua took the initiative.
"Sister Lanfen, you are so careless." It gave the impression that Su Lanfen had accidentally dropped the purse.
"Do you think you can do anything and get away from it? You are nothing. You are nothing without my cousin." Su Lanfen wanted to incite her, to anger her. But to her grief, her words were totally harmless to Jing Lihua.
Jing Lihua knew how to deal with people like her. It was to never get angered at their words. So she only smiled at her and said in a low voice.
"You are wrong, sister Lanfen. I’m the President of the Tang enterprise. And I don’t need Su Liwei or someone else to make me something. And listen carefully, I would only say it once. You might have thought that I’m the same Jing Lihua you could easily insult in the past. But I’m not. I won’t dig into the past but in the future, if you test my patience or if you try to do something against Zhao Liying, I know how to counter."
Su Lanfen was stunned for a second. It was her company that had leaked those fake scandals about Zhao Liying and tainted her good reputation. But did Jing Lihua know that? If yes, then how?
And wasn’t Jing Lihua used to be a cowardly girl? She would stop crying once confronted. She would never be spiteful towards Su Lanfen no matter how much Su Lanfen insulted her. Then why was this unexpected change now?
"Are you threatening me?" Su Lanfen stepped closer to her and sneered at her. "My cousin won’t be happy once he learns what you said to me. Neither would he be happy once he learned you go on dates with other men."
Su Lanfen knew she could easily scare her using Su Liwei’s name and once listening to his name, Jing Lihua would immediately start begging for an apology from her. After all, she wouldn’t want her to say bad things about her to her husband.
"You can tell him whatever you want." Jing Lihua only smiled lightly.
Didn’t she use to yield whenever Su Liwei’s name was brought up? She would do whatever Su Lanfen demanded just so she wouldn’t say anything against her to Su Liwei. What happened to her know?
"Wench" Su Lanfen shoved Jing Lihua while walking away. Jing Lihua could have easily avoided her but she accidentally slipped, her head bumped in a table. The crowd around them gasped. Su Lanfen stopped, looked back over her shoulder and laughed. Her friends followed her in their insults.
Mo Liang was panicked. He quickly went down by her side. Her eyes looked dazed. Her face was cold as ice. She didn’t show any movement.
"Xia Hua. Xiao Hua." He called her and shook her, but she gave no response. Jing Lihua frowned after being oscillated continuously. What the hell?
We don’t touch an injured person, not definitely shake him like that! Did her stupid friend not even know that?
"I’m alright." Jing Lihua finally said after some time and glowered at Mo Liang. "Stop shaking me now! I said I’m alright!"
"You are not alright, you are bleeding profusely."
That gives no reason to continue shaking me!
Mo Liang looked genuinely concerned that stopped Jig Lihua from cursing him. Finally making sure Jing Lihua pressed the tissue paper against her head and stopped the bleeding, he shouted at Su Lanfen. "Stop right there!"
By now Su Lanfen had also observed something was wrong. Jing Lihua was bleeding. A lot of people had gathered around Mo Liang and Jing Lihua.
Su Lanfen stopped and turned back to look. Mo Liang’s face looked terrifying. No one could have guessed that the charming prince Liang could bring out such expressions. "Do you know the consequences of your actions? I won’t let you off! I don’t care if you belong to some Su family or not. I won’t let you off till you pay back for it!"
Su Lanfen’s looked upset. Exchanging insults in open didn’t matter. Even harming your enemies behind their backs couldn’t hurt much because no one would find any evidence. But this... she had unintentionally injured Jing Lihua in front of everyone. This could be problematic.
"I-I just lightly bumped into her. She faked the fall."
"Does that blood look fake to you>"
"It was unintentional. Why are you creating such a fuss?" Su Lanfen knew she belonged to the great Su family. She didn’t need to fear. They couldn’t do anything to her. Even the rumors could be eradicated using her family influence.
Slowly, Jing Lihua got up. Still holding a tissue paper against her bleeding forehead, she walked to Su Lanfen. Her eyes were cold and sharp.
"I warned you Su Lanfen." Jing Lihua’s eyes were cold yet threatening. "Apologize to me and I would let you off. Decline to do so, I would have you and your friends thrown out of the restaurant."
Su Lanfen laughed at her warning. Her friends also followed her and threw insults at Jing Lihua.
"What does she think?"
"Is she mad?"
"She can’t compete with Su Lanfen"
"Must have gone mad after hitting her head"
"Who do you think the restaurant manager choose? You or the great ’Su family’. There is a difference in status between you and me, Jing Lihua. You seem to keep forgetting this since this morning. This difference is very big and you can’t climb it then no matter how much you try. You can never rival the Su family. Whatever you do, you are nothing in front of me. I can destroy you in seconds." What a stupid woman. How could she dare to threaten her? But no worries. Su Lanfen would soon show her the right place she belonged to.
