Yuan Shaoqing overheard their conversation, but he didn’t chime in. He pulled Yuan Hua by the collar.
“Now, little girl. Your brother will reeducate you about what you have been doing.”
Yuan Hua didn’t give up. She yelled at his face.
“Let me down, you fool! What do you think you’re doing?! Are you betraying Lord Pangu and Lord Nian?!”
“I never intend to bow my head to any god. I’m THE EMPEROR, not THEM!”
Mercilessly, Yuan Shaoqing punched Yuan Hua in the gut. The girl’s eyes widen for a moment, then they rolled upward. She fainted and collapsed to the ground.
Xiaomao, Lucky, and Shepherd had cringe expressions on their faces. They had guessed that Yuan Hua might even be older than Yuan Shaoqing, but seeing how a grown-up man punching a pre-teen-looking girl in the stomach was horrifying.
“Big OOF, munya!”
Yuan Shaoqing carried his sister and walked toward Bush Cox. He handed her to him.
“Bring her to my wife. I’ll deal with the aftermath.”
Bush Cox nodded. He turned to Xiaomao and widely grinned before he left.
After Bush Cox and Yuan Hua were gone, Yuan Shaoqing pointed at the gate, and a yellowish force field dome was erected, blocking the exit path.
“Little kitty, I have another favor to ask you.”
“Y-Yes, munya?” Xiaomao gulped. He was afraid that the emperor might confiscate his entity crystal.
“I want you to use your artifact on everybody in this room, including me. All soldiers, generals, ministers, and officials might have gotten a few curses from Pangu’s priests or cultists that we don’t know about. Remove the curses for me.”

Yuan Shaoqing had been planning to rebel against Pangu and Nian for a long time, but he was helpless against the mysterious curses. Thanks to Mimir’s information, Yuan Shaoqing learned about your secret artifact that could remove curses.
Now, he asked you for a favor. He wanted you to remove all curses on him and his retainers for good so that he could start mobilizing his forces against Pangu’s followers and the church.

“Something will happen?” Yuan Shaoqing frowned for a moment before he figured out what might happen after this. He turned to his men and shouted.
“FORM RANKS! IF ANYBODY DISOBEYS MY ORDER, YOUR HEAD WILL ROLL!”
The neutral officers obediently stood in rows, waiting for their turn. However, followers of Nian and Pangu dragged their feet and looked around in panic.
Xiaomao ignored the obedient people and rushed toward these guys first. He also glanced at the two generals that he had freed earlier.
“Help me catch these guys, munya!”
Yan Liang and Wen Chou stopped looking at their status menu and turned around. Noticing that some stragglers had dark karma and refused to cooperate, they summoned their halberds and charged at the officers.
Guo Tu shrieked and tried to escape through the gate. However, the force field barrier blocked his path.
Yan Liang showed the follower no mercy. As his level remained unchanged, he swung his halberd and cleaved the minister in half!
With just one swing, he dealt a hundred million damage. No item dropped from Guo Tu.
Meanwhile, Wen Chou caught Xin Ping. He pressed stepped on the minister’s back and beheaded him.
In less than three seconds, two level-500 were killed.
The other retainers trembled in fear. They knelt on the ground and begged Yuan Shaoqing to spare their lives.
Yuan Shaoqing scoffed, “If you want to live, get to the line and wait for your turn! No matter what happens, I’ll remove your curses, and you will no longer be a part of the Pangu Clan!”
The retainers awkwardly rushed to the line. They bit their lower lips as they had no choice.
As nobody broke ranks, Xiaomao had an easier time touching everybody. He flew over the people and touched their heads with the crystal.

Because of the repeated movements, Yuan Shaoqing and Tian Feng finally saw the artifact. They smirked and continued to gaze at Xiaomao.
As they were watching the cat, Tian Feng heard his lord’s voice in his mind.
‘When he’s done, invite Mimir and Xiaomao’s retainer to the secret passageway. I’ll catch that cat and get his artifacts.’
Tian Feng grinned. He also replied, using his voice transmission technique.
‘Understood, my lord.’

“Well done. Good job, kitty.”
