Chapter 336 Carrying him home
The taxi soon arrived at Wansheng Community. Assistant Liu had been waiting at the gate. She had just firmly said that she wouldn’t take care of Jiang Jingcheng, but now it seemed that what she said before was just a joke.
Sure enough, people couldn’t believe a girl’s words easily!
Seeing that the taxi stopped at the intersection, Assistant Liu rushed over.
“What happened? Is he all right?” Assistant Liu seemed to be a little worried. She kept glancing at the taxi, looking for Jiang Jingcheng.
“He is OK. He just drank a little wine and didn’t sleep for a few days. He is sleeping in the car right now. Since you are so worried about him, I will leave him to you. There are so many tasks in the studio. I should go back now.” Gu Yan raised her eyebrows to show that Jiang Jingcheng was in the car. Gu Yan wanted to call Mo Yichen many times to say that she was wrong, she shouldn’t lose her temper, and how about we made it up. But eventually, she didn’t have the courage to do so. And also, Mo Yichen didn’t call back, which made Gu Yan disappointed. The idea of calling him finally vanished.
Now at this critical moment, she really hoped that Mo Yichen could be with her!
Every time Gu Yan thought about Mo Yichen, she had an inexplicable disappointment. Where was him? Was there anything wrong with him now? Why she had not heard from him?
Looking at Assistant Liu and Jiang Jingcheng, Gu Yan always felt that she was the redundant one. But she was stopped by Assistant Liu when she was just about to leave.
“President Gu, I...” Assistant Liu stammered, as if she wanted to say something embarrassing.
“What? Don’t tell me that you don’t want to take him in. Although he hurts you before, I think he has his own reason. Otherwise, he will not drink like this.” Gu Yan turned over. Her eyes were full of gloom. She indifferently looked at Assistant Liu who was staring at her.
“No. I can’t move him to my home alone in this situation.” Assistant Liu scratched her head awkwardly, then folded her hands and begged Gu Yan to help her.
“Alright. What a woman! But why Jiang Jingcheng gets drunk like this? He is such a grown-up man! Now we are suffering just because of him!” Gu Yan complained and frowned. She stepped to the taxi again reluctantly, looking at Jiang Jingcheng who was sleeping with arms akimbo.“Girls, let me help you.” The kind driver saw the sad look on two girls. He couldn’t stand that, so he decided to help them carry the drunk home!
The driver got out of the car and carried up Jiang Jingcheng. Assistant Liu and Gu Yan gave the support by the side. They finally carried Jiang Jingcheng to Assistant Liu’s sofa. The driver was already sweating.
Assistant Liu took out a bottle of water from the refrigerator and handed it to the driver, thanking him repeatedly, “Thank you, sir. I don’t know what I would do without your help. Thank you very much.”
The driver smiled and wiped off the sweat from his forehead with his sleeves. He took the water delivered by Assistant Liu and swilled the water down.
“It’s okay. It’s not a big deal. Just give a help. Everyone would have a difficult time.” The three people burst into laughter.
“Well, if there’s nothing else to do, I’ll drive back. My wife and children are waiting for me, so I’ll leave.” After drinking the water, the driver saw that Assistant Liu and Gu Yan didn’t need any help, so he went back to do his own things.
“Thank you, sir. Take care!” Assistant Liu’s tone was obviously elevated.
In the room, Jiang Jingcheng was still sleeping. Assistant Liu brought a basin of hot water, moistened a towel, and gently wiped the ruddy cheeks of Jiang Jingcheng.
Jiang Jingcheng suddenly held Assistant Liu’s hand to his chest and muttered. Assistant Liu approached him and carefully listened to his words.
Gu Yan looked at Assistant Liu’s actions and saw that Assistant Liu’s expression slowly changed from worry to anger. Gu Yan was confused. What did Assistant Liu hear?
“Liu, what’s wrong?” Gu Yan asked Assistant Liu curiously. She got close to Jiang Jingcheng involuntarily and wanted to find out what did he say.
Gu Yan felt that Jiang Jingcheng’s mouth opened and closed again. He might say, “Qian, don’t go!” Due to the long distance, she could only hear it vaguely.
Qian? Was she Chen Qian? Gu Yan was not sure whether she listened carefully enough and did not dare to jump to the conclusion.
“Nothing. He is calling a woman’s name. It’s a lie that he is willing to give his life for me whom he loves. I don’t think his words can be believed.”
“Now it seems that we broke up because he loves another woman. While I’m still here. It’s unfair for me to pretend to be crazy and continue to serve him.” Assistant Liu was angrier. Her dim eyes contained a complex mood, and her mouth was getting darker.
“Liu, don’t think too much. When he wakes up, you can have a talk with him. Maybe things are not as bad as you imagine. Maybe he has some unavoidable difficulties. I think you should not make a conclusion so early.” Gu Yan persuaded Assistant Liu, hoping that she wouldn’t be too angry. The impulse was the devil!
Jiang Jingcheng turned over and continued to hold Assistant Liu’s hand. He was sleeping so well. Assistant Liu squat in front of him and looked at him. Gu Yan saw the tears in her red and swollen eyes and it seemed that she was going to cry.
Assistant Liu finally couldn’t help crying. In order to avoid being seen by Gu Yan, she turned to wipe away the tears from the corner of her eyes.
“Liu, if there’s nothing wrong, I have to go back to the studio first. There are still a lot of things waiting for me to deal with. Please tell me if he wakes up. I have questions to ask him.”
Seeing that Assistant Liu was so sad, Gu Yan felt that it was time to leave. She should let Assistant Liu be alone with Jiang Jingcheng and enjoy the last world only for them!
“Fine. President Gu, Take care.” Assistant Liu continued to be back to Gu Yan and replied. Her voice was so hoarse that Gu Yan almost couldn’t clearly hear what she said.
“Don’t be so sad. Have a good talk with him when he wakes up. Don’t be impulsive, okay? Don’t get angry easily!”
