Chapter 906 Chapter 906 Conquest

Aveus wanted to become crazy in order to forget but his indomitable willpower forced him to remain sane all throughout the ordeal. Sometimes being too strong can be a weakness of sorts.

"Did i hear you correctly? Are you now willing to be my slave, Aveus?" The Demon Lord asked. He was several minutes late to this reply but he cared not one bit.

This was a deliberate ploy of course.

"..." Aveus Griffins said nothing in reply.

"Oh... Does your silence mean that i should continue? I could do that for you until all and everyone that you have ever known would live only in your memory." The Demon Lord said.

"Your slave greets you, master." Aveus Griffins bowed slightly.

"Is that how a slave greets his master in this world?" The Demon Lord was amused.

"This slave greets you, master!" Aveus Griffins repeated. But this time around, he knelt on the ground alongside the shattered pieces of his pride.

The Daily Seers.

Breaking News.

These events started and ended rapidly just in the short span of one month. No mortal could react since the ploy implemented was beyond genius.

Aveus Griffins and his death eaters tainted the entire water supply of the no magic and laced it with a powerful mind control drug.

When the plan was successful, they then began confiscating all the technological advantages of the no magic people from the littlest to their most impressive guns.

Normal humans woke up from the spell with nothing but sticks and stones to fight against the wizards. It did not take them long to realize that they were virtually outmatched in the game.

In the end, they had no choice but to accept their present reality. Aveus Griffins won a global war with almost no casualties from either side.

Perhaps the only real ones that occurred were those with weaker hearts who perished from the shock of this all too sudden change in the world.

Thus, life went on like it always did and time passed for all that cherished it.

"Strange." The Demon Lord muttered. He had already mastered wizard magic after 500 years and spent another 500 of them trying to find a portal back to his original universe.

Alas, the half millennium had given him no answer for his quest.

"It seems that the only way available for me is to go forward. At least this is true for now." The Demon Lord closed his eyes and meditated for one whole day on his throne.

The countless universes were already opened to his inspection and so he decided on which world to visit next. This paltry chore has only took him 1 day to decide.

"It's about time." The Demon Lord whispered. With a thought's command, he willed for something to happen.

"DING!" A human sized bubble materialized and burst immediately thereafter.

"HAK!"

"HAK!"

"HAK!" A gasping old man sought his first breaths after innumerable years of isolation and torture.

"How have you been, Aveus?" The Demon Lord asked gently.

"Fo... Fo... Fo... For...give me, master! I have... a change of... hear... heart! I will never disobey... you... AGAIN!" The old man shivered uncontrollably.

Although he was only imprisoned for 850 years in real time but in truth 40,000 years has already elapsed inside his personal cage.

It would have been good if he just stayed there in peace and solitude but how could a Demon Lord provide such a nice vacation unto those that violated his will?

Thus, Aveus Griffins spent every single second in the last 40,000 years in constant pain and agony. Myriad torments of the most creative ways imaginable were inflicted upon him.

He sometimes wish he could go crazy and forget in there but alas, he was forced to remember all too clearly. This was perhaps a penalty worse than death itself.

"I'm happy to hear that, Aveus. I certainly do not want to lose you. You are my first slave in this world after all. You may retire now and await for my summons."

The Demon Lord was pleased at his work. There was no doubt that the current Aveus Griffins was indeed a product of his own hands. His masterpiece.

A toy that danced at the tune of his play.

"Thank you, mas... master!" Aveus replied and crawled away in all fours like a funny dog. It was clear that he was but a shadow of his former self.

Three days later and Aveus Griffins was indeed summoned as promised. He arrived in the Demon Lord's throne room with an apparition spell.

"Well, well, well... It's nice to see you again after a long long time, Griffins." A voice greeted the newcomer.

"You? How are you here?" Aveus Griffins asked surprised. He had not gone out from his room for 3 whole days which made him ignorant about how the world was today.

"I could ask the same thing to you." The person said while laughing in that strange inhuman sound.

"I've been in master's employ for almost a thousand years already. You could say that i became your replacement after you've gone bad. I should give my thanks to you, Griffins.

If not for your foolishness, i would have found no chance to prove myself in front of my one and true master.

Who would have thought that the greatest wizard of my time has become nothing but a trembling tool?" The man yet to be named laughed once more.

It was obvious that he was truly happy with how their fates turned out to be.

"Gloat all you want, Leland. The past is no more." Aveus Griffins replied and looked at his shaking left hand. No matter what he did, the wild quaking never stopped.

This was perhaps one of the reminders of what he had underwent in that hellish place. Aveus shivered for a moment.
