Chapter 904 Chapter 904 Chalks and Fingerling

"Oh... The answer to that is easy. Aren't you considered the greatest wizard of this age? Only an ignorant dog doesn't know the name of the famous Aveus Griffins."

The Demon Lord said and began walking closer unto the wizard. His naked frame was impressive. More than mesmerizing to those seekers of the mundane.

Alas, this 7 foot 1 inches muscled giant could not have been any more threatening towards the lone wizard in his midst.

Aveus almost backed a step but he stood his ground in the end. His sharp intuition was telling him that combat would not start between the two of them yet.

"THUD!"

"THUD!"

"THUD!" The Demon Lord stopped when he was about 3 steps away from the great wizard. His bare form has not even made him flinch in shame or inadequacy.

One could definitely not hold on the title as Demon Lord for endless trillions of years by having a frail mindset.

"I offer you a chance, Aveus. Become the first of my followers and join me in conquering all there was, all there is, and all that will ever be." The Demon Lord invited.

Before he passed through that portal, he had studied much of this world. This was the only world that he could spy from his original universe.

This led him to believe that this world was a key to all others.

Thus, the Demon Lord knew all there was to know about this universe for even its past, present, and future was already deciphered by him at his peak.

Perhaps the only thing that has hidden from his eyes was the corrupted soul that leeched upon his own. That thing was a variable but not a big one by any means.

"You are..." Aveus Griffins could not finish his words since there was an irrational pull inside him to say yes, kneel down, and pledge allegiance to this man.

There was an almost hypnotic enticement in this man's voice that had almost made him forget who he was and what he stood for.

"..." In reply, Aveus Griffins merely shook his head in defiance since he could not trust his words to serve him.

"A pity." The Demon Lord nodded, turned around to make a dozen steps back, and raised his arms wide as if in invitation.

"Then i have no choice but to help you change your mind for you." The Demon Lord finally made another expression that the usual serious countenance that he always bore.

He grinned and Aveus felt an ominous sign in that otherwise positive visage. It was as if there was a promise of death in the air. But it was so much more than that.

Carnage impersonate has come to make himself known in this world of wizards and magic.

"BANG!" A dozen breaths later and the duel of fire and earth created a new spectacle for everyone to see.

Hudson Chalks was not a big man by all means.

He was short and not handsome by any standard but these physical shortcomings has not hindered him to be the best man that he could possibly be.

He believed that he could do his fair share of good in this world no matter how little and humble it was.

This was the reason why he had willingly joined in the Order of the Sun headed by no other than the great wizard Aveus Griffins himself.

"Bagged another one haven't you, Chalks? Well, good for you." A bald wizard asked. His name was Lark Fingerling. Normally, he would not have been this brave as tonight.

Hunting death eaters and even capturing not a few of them in the aftermath. It was only curious that these terrorist group of wizards and witches appeared so weak tonight.

They could not even fend off a single disarming charm from him. Lark Fingerling could already imagine all the benefits he would get from Aveus Griffins.

Being a member of the Order of the Sun of course had special advantages especially when it was headed by the greatest wizard alive.

"I could say the same to you. The disturbance earlier must have been the cause why these Death Eaters became so weak.

If i had to guess, they must have approached those giant pillars of lightning. Their greed has gotten the better of them." Hudson Chalks laughed a few before the smile was gone in a flash.

"But i received a message from Biscus a few minutes ago. He had come to investigate the ruins of that power and he says that..." Hudson Chalks paused.

Even he could hardly believe the news at all.

"Says what?!" Lark Fingerling urged seemingly impatient. He wanted to catch more death eaters than listen to this crap. Nevertheless, his curiosity was peaked and so he stayed.

"He said that... that the continent of Antarctica has vanished." Hudson Chalks whispered.

"WHAT?! Is Hagrid sure? Maybe the big man needed his eyes fixed already." Lark Fingerling was incredulous of this news. How could an entire continent that huge just disappear?

It was more than absurd!

"I don't know. But Biscus says to m..." Hudson Chalks stopped when a sudden disturbance caught his eyes.

"BOOM!" There was a massive earthquake where he stood and it was soon followed by a burning sun that graced that entirety of the sky with its prodigious size.

Even at how far they were, the prickling warm of this great magic still reached and affected them. A proud mountain in the distance collapsed in consequence.

"Griffins?" Hudson Chalks said and then disapparated from the place. Lark Fingerling did otherwise. He retreated from the scene of apparent battle.

* * *

"POOF!" Chalks apparated in place and he was welcomed by an unforgiving fist in the face. This was the last picture that this good man had seen in his life.

"BANG!" The ground shook as one wizard's head got smashed like a watermelon. A deep crater could be seen once more. All over the place, there were myriad mirrors of this same infliction.
