Chapter 871 Chapter 871 Hungry Wolves

"I have different plans for both of you." Our avid gamer shook his head. He once again gazed at the people and awaited their reply.

"TIK!"

"TOK!"

"TIK!"

"TOK!"

.

..

...

Not a peep whatsoever. It was obvious that most of them was terrified of the job.

"I see. It doesn't matter then." Clark whispered softly.

"Doppo, Raidon, Tobei, Sachi, Yoshida, Saikaku, and Takuya. Come forth!" He summoned and the 7 followed suit. These 7 were the only able hunters in the clan so far.

"Take these necklaces as my boon. They can guard, attack, and more. You should be easily acquainted with them and their uses soon enough."

Clark said and 8 shining necklaces floated unto them. The nameless boy was of course amongst those that were gifted.

"..." The boy reached out for his necklace, put it on, and wordlessly wondered about its effects. He looked at his Patriarch and wondered how amazing it would be to stand there.

"BANG!" The boy experienced a sudden vertigo and when he opened his eyes again, he was already in close proximity with the leader of the clan.

"Patriarch!" The boy exclaimed in panic. He wanted to move away but nothing happened.

"You got nice wings on you, child." Clark grinned as he gazed at a particular spot on the boy's body.

"..." The nameless boy followed our bored gamer's eyes and before long, he saw huge azure wings on his back that was almost twice his size. The boy's eyes widened in awe.

He would have remained stunned for a long time but a greasy voice broke his spell stricken stature.

"Patriarch, i changed my mind. I also want to help in the prosperity of the clan. I volunteer to become one of our heroic hunters!" A clever man started.

"Me too!"

"Take me!"

"I will be the greatest hunter in this world!" And a flood of volunteers came next. Everyone of them seemed to have a change of heart.

Alas, how could our bored gamer let them go unscathed in the aftermath.

"You can all go home now." Clark said unto everyone including the 8 hunters that he got.

With one wave of his hand, the nameless boy before him that had new magical wings on his back slowly returned unto his peers.

Our bored gamer did not even bother teaching them since the necklaces was all too easy to master.

They only had to think what it wanted to create and it would follow their thoughts to a tee. Never a treasure built more simpler than that.

"But... Patriarch! How about us?! We also want to become hunters like them!" A panicked voice rang out from the crowd.

It did not need telling that an opportunity like this one was a once in a lifetime. They dreamed of possessing power that only great ninjas could have.

Some were even salivating with greed on the spot.

"You had your chance. I won't give it again." Clark replied and retired to his abode. Same as all the other worlds that he had been to, there was no pill for regrets created yet.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Some people could not help but shout in despair and yet not a small number of them has looked at the nameless boy with obvious desire in their eyes.

They were specifically intent on the ordinary looking jewelry that hung on his thin immature neck.

"DING!" One person threw a steel sword down the boy's front.

"This sword shall be yours, boy. Now give me your necklace in return." The person was shameless and his intention was plain enough.

If the nameless boy would be fooled then he would earn so much than ten thousand steel swords combined.

"No. This necklace is mine!" The boy answered a lot harder than he wanted. He even clasped the item with a possessive hand, shielding it from all the prying eyes around him.

"Don't make me angry, boy! You don't want to see me angry. Give it now or you will pay the price of disobedience!"

The shameless man threatened and took a few steps unto the nameless boy.

"It. is. Mine. You can't take it from me!" The boy remained stubborn but he wished to escape this tribulation in one piece.

He looked at the only tall house in sight and hoped for the Patriarch to intervene but alas, not even his shadow could be seen from where he was at.

The nameless boy unconsciously trembled but he steeled himself on time.

"You give me no choice, boy!" The shameless man rushed in to beat the boy up and he was at least partially successful in his attempt.

That was until four fist sized spheres stopped him on his tracks completely.

"DING!"

"DING!"

"DING!"

"DING!" These magical balls hit the shameless man squarely on his body. Head, chest, nuts, and head again.

"THUD!" The shameless man was unconscious before he hit the hard ground.

"..." There was a deafening silence thereafter. Everyone gazed at the nameless boy like he was some kind of monster already.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I didn't mean to kill him." The nameless boy said as he feared that he had killed a man by accident.

He only wanted to defend himself and not take the man's life in consequence.

"You did no wrong, child. And no... that man is not dead yet." Our bored gamer's voice wafted in the scene.

"Patriarch?" Everybody looked at the nearby big house but found nothing of his person.

"Take me man out of the clan. I do not tolerate scum in my presence." Clark's ominous words echoed in the next breath.

"We understand, Patriarch!" A pair of able bodied men replied from out of the dozens and they were also the one responsible of throwing the knocked out man away from the scene.

With his coma like status, it would be a miracle to see him live through the night. At least the rabid wolves shall have a handsome meal later on.
