Chapter 2749 - From Predators to Prey
Given Tianming's seventh astral phase level, it wouldn't be realistic for him to take on two second-level cosmic cartographer specters, no matter how many tricks he had. Zi Zhen had borrowed the power of the grand lexicon wonder to bear down on Black Dragon, but Green Dragon and Blood Dragon emerged from the flanks and targeted Tianming.
"Those specters really know how to prioritize!" He furrowed his brow as he endured the pressure. He applied around twenty Xia words on each of those two specters, which caused them to feel quite nauseous. However, they were fighting fiercely enough that it was hard for him to hold on.
"Come back!" The providence swords immediately gathered near Tianming. "I won't be able to match either one of them in a one-on-one fight. My priority should be to help ZI Zhen suppress her foe while I keep a distance!" He completely gave up on the notion of fighting them with his onefold simulacrum.
"Yin Chen!" The sea of silver eggs appeared, turning into countless metallic crabs that formed a barrier in front of Tianming. He left Zi Zhen's protection and blended in with the metallic insects, remotely controlling his Xia words and providence swords. All Green Dragon and Blood Dragon saw when they arrived was an amorphous metallic sea.
"Die!" Bloody mist and green water seeped out of their bodies, eroding hundreds of millions of silver eggs and covering the entire battlefield. But there were far too many Yin Chens around. More just came out to replace those that were destroyed. They could even attack, further confusing the two specters. They weren't even able to locate Black Dragon, let alone Tianming! All the while, Tianming took advantage of Yin Chen's surveillance to launch attacks with his divine wonder and totems.
"If I can't defeat you guys, I'll just mess with you until you give up!" It was the perfect fighting style to create chaos. While there were only around twenty-odd Xia words affecting the two brothers, they constantly reformed in different combinations to create different effects.
"Twenty of them are troublesome enough to deal with! Boss must be having a much worse time!"
"What do we do? That white-haired kid is too good at running!"
"If we can't find him, let's regroup with Boss and fight back-to-back!"
They made up their minds and decisively gave up on searching for Tianming in the silver sea. With how loud the fight between Zi Zhen and Black Dragon was, it wasn't hard for them to find their way back.
"Don't let them regroup!" Zi Zhen urgently yelled.
"Alright!" Tianming had even more Yin Chens fill up the space between the two groups. At the same time, Meow Meow and Ying Huo rejoined the fight after a short break, going for the other two brothers.

Just then, however, Zi Zhen gave him quite a surprise. He turned back and saw her destroy one of Black Dragon's cosmic charts, crushing a third of his foundation. His combat potential significantly dropped! "Amazing!"
"It's your divine wonder that I have to thank," Zi Zhen said. It wasn't just humility either. Thanks to the sixty-odd Xia words, she had managed to gain an edge over Black Dragon.
"Black Dragon's cultivation dropped back to that of a second-level cosmic cartographer. You'll be able to face off against both of them now," Tianming said.
"Let Green Dragon come, too. I can take on all three of them. That way you won't have to spread your divine wonder thin, either," Zi Zhen said.
"Now that's what I'm talking about!" The danger had passed. Tianming ignored Green Dragon and used Yin Chen to obscure his movements.
"Hey, you two!" Green Dragon managed to join them once more.
"Your third cosmic chart!" Seeing it crushed, Green Dragon and Blood Dragon felt their rage boil over.
"Be careful!" Black Dragon warned, his face pale. He didn't even have the time to get mad. Tianming's hundred Xia words and providence swords began gathering toward them once more; Zi Zhen was ready to finish them off with his help.
"It's us or them!"
"That white-haired fiend would've been crushed long ago if it weren’t for those metallic insects."
"How can someone so weak have so many odd tricks?"
The three brothers were losing their temper while Tianming and Zi Zhen remained completely calm. Just now, I had to split the words into three groups, greatly reducing the possible combinations. Like Zi Zhen said, using them all together in one place greatly expands my options. Zi Zhen was sharp enough to notice the mechanism of his divine wonder.
"Go!" The grand lexicon wonder and providence swords' assault began anew. The words combined to form 'petrify', 'scorch', 'lockdown', and 'bridge', among many other emergent effects. With all that setup, a path had been laid for Zi Zhen to join the fray. Her hair fluttered as her entire body glowed like stars. It was two against three, but it really felt like the three brothers were being ganged up on by a whole army.
Tianming grew more and more used to the grand lexicon wonder. He realized that even having a hundred Xia words was more than enough, as long as he mixed up their combinations and formed all kinds of unique effects. After a well placed petrification spell, Zi Zhen destroyed another of Black Dragon's cosmic charts, weakening him yet again.
"Aaaaagh!" Black Dragon was absolutely losing it; they were going to die without question.
"It's survival of the fittest! You tried luring in victims with order fragments to prey on them, so you should be prepared to become prey yourselves!" Tianming could almost taste the five order fragments they had.
