Chapter 2741 - Power of Words

Tianming continued flipping through the pages. The word for 'rain' (雨), caused a heavy rain to form above him. Other words, like the one for 'country' (国), had large diagrams depicting the concept on the pages apart from the meanings and associations. Even one of the most common words, the grammatical particle (的), was depicted in the form of countless bridges, embodying how it bridged different concepts together to form phrases. It was truly quite wondrous!

When Tianming flipped the page to the word for 'I' (我), he saw himself! There were far too many intricate details contained within. But when he tried turning to the latter pages with less common words, he found them too heavy to flip. A less common word that symbolized death and passing (薨), terrified him with the aura of death even though he only caught the slightest glimpse of part of its form.

"Does every single word represent a type of order? As in the laws of the universe?" Tianming was quite muddled. For instance, the words representing electricity and fire could easily be understood as orders. However, could auxiliary words like negation and particles, or even adjectives be considered orders? He recalled the bridges he saw on the page of 的.

"Perhaps the order represented by 的 is one of connection. It's a kind of order that's so abstract that cultivators find it difficult to grasp. Just because something’s hard to conceive of doesn't mean that it doesn't exist in the sea of order." The total number of orders accessible to cultivators from the sea of order could only be a small pool of the whole thing. For instance, the word 'no' (不), represented refusal or resistance. It was a kind of attitude that shared similarities with Tianming’s lifesbane order.

The thought of all that gave him quite a shock. He wanted to keep flipping through the pages, but the Grand Xia Lexicon's embryo locked on to him and began transferring into his body's astrons through the eye on his black arm. It was an imperial-class divine wonder, complex beyond imagination and seemingly boundless in volume; the way it integrated into astrons was completely unfathomable. Tianming was rather nervous about the pain he expected to feel.

"Come on!" He closed his eyes and grit his teeth. However, he didn't feel any pain at all. The divine wonder was still in its embryonic state, but it seemed to take up more space than the prime wonder.

"Amazing!" The tome slowly came apart, starting from the pages down to every single stroke of the words. They flowed into his astrons and were inscribed on their surfaces. Even though the prime and carefree wonders were already there, there was still a lot of space for the new divine wonder. There didn't seem to be any rejection at all, probably because he had trained using the Godsoul Canon.

Feiling and the others watched as he was enveloped by complicated words, seemingly drowning in a sea of them. His body appeared to melt away within them. Each and every word had its own personality of sorts. For instance, the word for 'fire' (火) seemed like burning embers, the word for 'love' (爱) looked like a mysterious form of energy, while the word for 'encirclement' (围) seemed to embody the law of surrounding things. There were so many of them that a light show seemed to be unfolding before their eyes.

"How's he doing?" Xiaoxiao asked.

"It looks like the embryo is successfully integrating with his body. The whole process takes around ten days. Once the transplant is complete, the embryo will be able to sprout," Moran said.

"Old Man Voidback said that that was an imperial-class divine wonder. Will he really be able to use it in that form? Does that mean he can use Ji Ji and the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb's energy to defeat powerful enemies with the divine wonder like you can?" Feiling asked.

"No. The classes of divine wonders are upper limits for their growth. All divine wonders start from their embryonic form. Usually, the divine wonders that elites leave for their descendants are powerful embryos to begin with. That’s also the main reason that divine wonderians have a hard time fighting above their own levels, despite having high-class divine wonders. Tianming will have to nurture his new divine wonder from the start, even if it's imperial class.

“However, he already has some of the fundamentals down. Not to mention, with how amazing the grand lexicon wonder appears, it might be ether class from the outset, or perhaps infinitum class. Its growth won't be slow, either." The only reason Moran could use more powerful divine wonders was that she had absorbed the already developed wonders from the Wonderhaze Suzerain straight away instead of their embryonic forms.

"If he could get his hands on something akin to an infinitum-class divine wonder straight away, he'd be more than powerful enough," Xiaoxiao said.

"Even if it's infinitum class, he still has to develop it. Fengqing You, for instance, has infinitum-class divine wonders. However, they haven't developed them even a tenth as much as Meng Ying has, so they're only able to unleash ether-class potential," Moran explained.

"Either way, he'll be able to show off again," Xiaoxiao said.

"It's fine. We'll keep him in his place with our cultivation levels," Feiling said.

They patiently waited for him for ten days, watching each and every stroke flow into his astrons. Eventually, the ancient text that covered his skin from head to toe completely vanished, having been transferred into the core parts of his body.

"Phew...." He opened his eyes and saw many words floating across his vision. "It's finally over. That was complicated." Though he said that, Tianming's face was filled with juvenile excitement.

"Big Brother, show it to us," Feiling said, winking.

"Ahem!" Immediately, he felt energized. Feiling knew him well, after all. "Ladies, behold! The grand lexicon wonder!"

He mustered his cosmoforce to fuel the divine patterns and a chain of towers that stretched on for tens of thousands of meters appeared in his hand. Awkwardly, he said, "Oops, wrong one."

The girls watched, flabbergasted.

"Ooh, a chain, huh? Someone wants to try some kinky bondage play," Ying Huo said, popping out of nowhere with a shit-eating grin on its face.
