Chapter 2715 - Third Layer of the Prime Tower
Apart from soulstones, there were other treasures like cosmic artifacts and ordered manna. However, Tianming had more than enough of those; he even had ordered manna with over eighty apertures, so he wasn't lacking in any of them. The only resource the Sun lacked was soulstones.
Still on Meow Meow's back, he pondered, "I have two paths before me. I could stay in Commonsky City, or give up on it and go straight to the capital. If I stay here, I'll bunk at Mister Gu's place for now. Since I already have Yin Chens around the city, I'll be able to obtain order fragments without issue, allowing me to grow stronger. The capital, on the other hand, is far away. There might be too many variables if I choose that path, and when I arrive, the elites there will be far more terrifying. I'll also have to start over from scratch, which will be much more difficult.
"Then again... if I do go to the capital earlier, I might be able to get news about Feng and Qingyu sooner. If she wanted me to look for her, she might be running out of time. Not to mention, I was eventually going to go there anyway...."
Staying in Commonsky City would definitely be better for his personal cultivation. After much thought, however, he decided to head to the capital. "Let's spend that time on the journey. The wilderness of the Xenoabyss seemed endless and desolate, making for quite a quiet journey. Fortunately, Tianming was never lonely, thanks to his lifebound beasts. They kept causing a ruckus in his lifebound space to the point that he felt like his ears would explode.
"If it's so noisy now, what’ll it be like when Sixth comes back and the other three eggs hatch...." It was a fortunate problem to have at any rate. "The question is what the elemental types the other three are, and what conditions they’ll need to hatch. Will they shoot straight toward the Order stage?"
There was nothing he could think of that would stimulate those three eggs. They were the last three mysterious Primordial Chaos Beasts.
"It's finally recovered." The prime wonder had been damaged in the fight against Chen Yin, affecting the divine patterns on his astrons. However, they restored themselves without much issue. Tianming couldn't wait and took out the little black tower.
"Chen Yin, Jiang Yong, that'll show you for forcefully buying that treasure out from under me. You're both dead now, so who's having the last laugh?" Tianming chuckled. He studied the little tower that seemed just like a normal cosmic artifact, unable to uncover anything mysterious about it. Within it was an artifact soul that took the form of a horned, snow-white serpent. It didn't seem sapient at all, behaving like a feral beast through and through.
"How’d it get my prime wonder to react?" Even now, the prime wonder in his body seemed to pulse as the divine patterns circled the little black tower. There were no other visible changes.
"Well, when in doubt, swallow it. Maybe you'll be surprised," Ying Huo said, pacing above Tianming's head with its wings proudly crossed.
"Are you sure? You want me to swallow a whole cosmic artifact? Won't my stomach and liver be crushed?" Tianming said.
"They’ll be fine. As long as it doesn't clog up your ass, it’ll work. I'm confident in you."
Tianming touched the tip of the black tower and smirked. "I see. Let's see you try it, then."
"Oh, too easy!" Ying Huo grew large and spread its wings. The little black tower was nothing but a speck of dust. "I can easily swallow it, but it'll have to come out the other end. If you don't mind eating what I shit out, be my guest."
"Fuck off!" Tianming glared at the bird and pocketed the tower without hesitation.
"Just trust me. A true man would swallow that shaft whole! That's what Ling'er likes, true men!" Ying Huo said as it turned back into a little yellow chick.
"Fine! Here goes nothing!" Tianming adjusted his astrons to allow his mouth to open wider, then swallowed the tower with a single audible gulp.
"That's rig—holy shit!" The smile on his face completely froze. He didn't think that Tianming would actually naively believe him. "Hey! I was just messing with you! Eating it’s pointless!"
"What?" Tianming's face was completely red. He shot Ying Huo a desolate look before he cried out in pain and clutched his stomach. "You cursed chick! I will curse you to never be able to find a hen for the rest of your life!"
"No way! Are you really that stupid?" Ying Huo was freaking out.
But soon, it realized that Tianming was just messing with it as his astrons began changing. The patterns on his body that corresponded to the prime wonder increased in number and complexity, and that was on the scale of every single astron. It was a complete overhaul of the prime wonder!
"It's ether class now!" The prime wonder's current level should match both of Moran's divine wonders. In fact, it would be much stronger than the previous Prime Cosmic Ring form. As Tianming grew, it should be able to grow from a low-ether-class divine wonder to a high-ether-class one!
The Prime Tower had nine layers in total, and the Prime Cosmic Rings were only the second layer. When Tianming had swallowed the black tower, it’d turned into a white liquid that spread through his astrons and unlocked the third layer! The white-robed old man within the tower seemed to turn a bit more toward the window. Now, his side profile was completely visible.
"Senior...." Within the Grand-Orient Sword, Tianming saw the Primordial God-Emperor. However, he had no idea who the being in the Prime Tower was.
