Chapter 2695 - Faith of Cosmic Cartographers

Tianming could deeply empathize with the pain of seeing a relative bedridden for so long. When his mother had been suffering from Lifesbane, he’d felt almost exactly the same as the leader of the Qi Family. What kind of son wouldn't want their mother to live a long, healthy life?

Having had decades of suffering alleviated just like that, Qi Huan and his mother teared up in joy, grateful to Tianming for what he had done. At the very least, they believed that the order fragment and soulstones were more than worth it in exchange for the mother's life. Yet when Tianming said that he would keep helping them, they almost fainted.

"Benefactor... do you mean it? Can my grandson be saved as well?" The matriarch of the clan did feel a tinge of regret that her grandson hadn't been saved yet, while her old self had been. Tianming's words brought her renewed hope. She kept her frail eyes on him the entire time.

"Benefactor, didn't you say you were worn out? We won't be able to procure a second order fragment right away. Is it possible for us to owe you for the time being?" Qi Huan was almost speechless at his good luck.

"There's no need. One’s enough. This is taxing for me, but I might as well help you the rest of the way, now that I've started!" Tianming said.

"Yes! Thank you, Benefactor!"

The mother and son kowtowed to Tianming again. They were giants of a few hundred meters tall, and the tremors from their foreheads hitting the ground caused quite a lot of dust to fly around Tianming.

"You two, enough of that. We have to prioritize curing your son. Let's hurry." Tianming felt a little bad about it himself. While the Xenoabyss was a terrifying place by itself, the fact that the residents were so terrified of xeno fatigue meant that their lives weren't that much better than those of the Flameyellow Continent. Every specter in the Xenoabyss risked losing their godhood to xeno fatigue! For lifeforms of that high a level to exist under such uncertain circumstances, while those of Flameyellow could live in peace until their timely ends suggested the intentional touch of a designer. No matter the power of a race, they seemed to have their own final destiny.

"Benefactor, come with me." Qi Huan referred to Tianming as that since his mother was cured. He brought him to where his son was, while his mother followed. To them, Tianming wasn't performing a service, but had become their actual savior. They soon rushed to the entrance of Qi Xuan's room.

"Don't come in! Scram!" came a struggling voice from within. From that alone, one could tell how horrible a toll the disease had taken on the five-century-old youth.

"Xuan'er, it's me! Grandma! Your dad’s here too!" The matriarch didn't care about anything else and barged into the room.

"Grandma?" Qi Xuan was under the impression that she had been suffering far worse symptoms than he was, so how could her voice be so clear? He struggled to stand from the corner of the dark room and looked at the entrance, seeing two towering figures outside.

"Grandma...?" The senior before him looked completely unfamiliar. A vigorous luster had returned to her skin and her wrinkles were completely gone. She looked like a four-millennia-old cosmic cartographer should! But just days ago, she had seemed like she was about to be dead and buried. He wondered if he was dreaming. "Am I seeing things?"

"Don't say anything and lie down. We have a benefactor! One that can dispel the fatigue!" Qi Huan dragged his son back to the gigantic bed and pushed him in, then turned back to look at Tianming with a respectful gaze.

"Dad...." Qi Xuan was still quite confused. His eyes darted toward his grandmother, growing more confused the more he observed. It wasn’t until the tiny person landed on his forehead that he noticed the presence of a fourth person in the room.

"Senior... you’re...." Even Qi Xuan thought Tianming to be a senior! It was impossible to read him from his white hair and black and gold eyes.

"Don't say a word," Qi Huan said.

"Okay!" Qi Xuan obediently listened.

Tianming used the Order Relic to suck away the xeno fatigue. The Order Relic should be something that came from the Sea of Order. It's said that xeno fatigue comes from there as well! The Order Relic could have something to do with the xeno fatigue in some way. This time around, the process took a bit longer, leading him to believe that there was a limit to how much the Order Relic could absorb. He did feel a little worse for wear after the second cure, but the problem had been resolved either way. Qi Xuan finally looked his actual age, rather than a middle-aged man. He was a tall, powerful, and hopeful blazetiger youth!

After being freed of the curse, Qi Xuan saw that his father's expression was even more agitated than his grandmother's. The man slapped himself on the face a dozen times as a sanity check, but he was still basking in joy. It wasn't a dream! Qi Xuan had no doubt suffered more under the fatigue, being a youth who had been denied his promised future.

"Benefactor!" He audibly kowtowed to Tianming, feeling agitated.

"Calm down. Calm down!" Tianming felt a sense of pride and accomplishment at helping people who were actually grateful for his efforts. Omnisentient Threads?! He suddenly realized that Qi Xuan, a cosmic cartographer from the Xenoabyss, had made a connection with him! Beibei was the first, and he was the second, showing that it was much easier for faith to develop in relatively younger people. Qi Xuan treated Tianming like a supernatural savior.

This was Tianming's first cosmic cartographer Omnisentient Thread, and he felt that it greatly boosted the growth of his Imperial Will! The power of Qi Xuan's faith flooded into his sea of consciousness. Even Qi Huan and his mother had formed a slight link with him. So this is the result of me saving him without asking for anything more.

In every world, there were good and bad people. The tyrants of Silverfox Village were unquestionably bad, whereas these three of the Qi Family were no doubt good. Tianming couldn't help but ponder his future. In the Xenoabyss, being afflicted by the fatigue is the worst fate that can befall someone, yet I can dispel it. Used right, I’ll be able to obtain a lot of order fragments, as well as faith from powerful cultivators!

Currently, the core base of his believers resided on the Sun. The Xenoabyss was a completely new battleground for him, yet he had an incredibly good start here. With the Omnisentient Threads formed, Tianming trusted these three even more. Qi Huan had finished preparing the order fragment and a hundred thousand soulstones long ago. In fact, he even added another hundred thousand to that sum!

"No price can be placed on the salvation you’ve given us. Consider this a small token of appreciation for how you've changed our lives, Benefactor," Qi Huan said with utmost respect.

"I only need a hundred thousand. Keep the rest." Tianming only took the amount he was promised.

"Understood." They would listen to whatever he told them.

"So this is an order fragment...." It was his first time seeing one. He was somewhat shaken by its mystique as it floated and spun above his hand. It looked like a hexagonal mirror that constantly changed colors, reflecting a curious depth. "How is this used?"

"Simply ingest it," Qi Huan said.

"Swallowing a mirror fragment? How primitive!" Tianming was almost speechless.

"Compared to the mystical astralscape of order, what we have here in the Xenoabyss is indeed primitive," Qi Huan said with a smile.

"Hahaha...." It truly was. They didn't have transmission stones, formations, or divine astralships, either.
