Chapter 2607 - Ancient Nineflame Sword

Primordial Chaos Beasts were like spectral progenitors in that they were the highest forms of existence of nova wildbeasts. Terrifying as they were, those magnificent qualities still shone through. Even after they had gone through symbiotic cultivation, they still looked more akin to wildbeasts in terms of appearance. The astral god physiques they had obtained from their beastmaster, as well as the stable tripartite soul structure, gave them even higher potential.

Sixth, as a soulbeast, was like an astral lifeform like Ji Ji in that a heptastar cosmic physique didn't mean much to it. However, the transformation of the tripartite soul it could gain from the beastmaster was a fundamental one. The only caveat to that was that its cultivation would be bound and limited to Tianming's own. If Tianming wasn't able to reach the heights of power the Primordial Chaos Beasts had, the beasts that had engaged in symbiotic cultivation with him would find it hard to progress as well. It was no wonder Sixth decided to run away from home to remove the shackles. It simply looked down on Tianming and didn't have the patience to wait, not to mention it didn't want to be bound or controlled by anyone.

Fu Xun glared at Tianming coldly before finally taking action. Sixth had never planned to let Tianming win the battle on the Skyhold Bridge from the start. "I said what I wanted to say. Now, you may fuck off, you annoying obstacle. Let me tell you one final time before I leave. You're free to come to the Xenoabyss if you want to get yourself killed! Make sure to bring your pets as well."

"You may... sound fierce... now but... you'll be... crying pathetically... later on.... You are... still so... childish Sixth... for you... to feel... good from... mocking others!" Yin Chen said telepathically, its many bodies watching from all over.

"You can't even speak properly. Shut up, insect. Go dig up a pile of shit and don't interrupt," Fu Xun said.

"The shit... pile I'm... digging up... is you! When you... hatched you... looked just... like a... pile of... white shit!"

"Hmph." Fu Xun smirked, changing his impression of Tianming. "Looks like you aren't just a pushover, seeing as how you were able to tame the insect."

"Not just... that alone... he can... even tame... piles of... white shit! One day... you will... call me... big brother... and I'll... eat you!"

"You're going to eat shit?"

"Yes you! I will... eat you!"

"Fuck off!" Fu Xun's conversation with Yin Chen wasn't like the banter between Xian Xian and Ji Ji. They didn't seem compatible in the slightest. He turned to look at his party members, noting that they seemed to be on their back feet.

"Useless maggots." Whether he was talking about Tianming or Yin Chen was unknown. "Looks like these crooks and pets are destined to be my stepping stones to greatness. I’ll step on them during my ascent."

Tianming saw the totems manifesting that signaled the start of the fight. "I’m quite curious what abilities he has while controlling Fu Xun...." He had a feeling that Sixth had plans for the Skyhold Bridge.

"No matter... what it... wants don't... let Sixth... get it!" Yin Chen snapped.

"Alright."

Fu Xun's totems shot toward him, hovering above his head. The files about Fu Xun stated that he was an eleventh-astral orderan sacred shaman genius. He had nine tertiary-simulacrum totems, being almost on the hallowed shamaness, Fu Yan's level. In fact, he was a few levels stronger, though twice Fu Yan's age.

Much to Tianming's surprise, the totems were nine flaming swords in stark contrast to his tiny ice cosmic artifact. The flaming swords each had unique colors and ancient characters inscribed onto them with magnificent calligraphy. Sword totems were rather rare; these were known as ancient nineflame swords. Like rearearth mothergoddesses, ancient nineflame swords were also signature totems of the sacred shamans and boasted impressive offensive capabilities. The energy coming from Fu Xun was contradictorily unique, with flame encasing ice. However, it still fell well within the bounds of the eleventh astral phase.

"Looks like Sixth is only showing the power of Fu Xun at the moment. We still have to be wary of any other tricks that it might possess." Tianming manifested his totems at almost the same moment. While they paled in terms of intimidation compared to the nine flaming swords, the details on Tianming's totem swords seemed far more ancient and intricate. The level of combat potential Tianming had exhibited even without his lifebound beasts seemed to surprise 'Fu Xun'. His beasts alone, despite being only fifth-astral orderans, were capable of suppressing an eleventh-level phytospecter, much to the shock of the spectators in the Skydome Mundus. On the other hand, he and his totems alone seemed sufficient to take on Fu Xun's full might. He was essentially fighting against two foes at the same time.

Fu Xun raised Frostrime and let go of it; the blade rapidly shot around in the air, freezing anything it touched! At the same time, the nine flaming swords began transforming. A balance formed between flame and frost, setting up the sword art that was to be unleashed. Nine swords in the sky and one on the ground, a fusion of ice and fire, crystallized into two astral streams of sword strikes that intersected in the air as they surged toward Tianming.

So far, Fu Xun's abilities seemed like something Tianming could handle, so he wondered where Sixth's confidence stemmed from. He didn't let his guard down in the slightest, using his own orderan sword technique to answer the incoming strike! He held the Grand-Orient Sword in both hands, planting his feet on the ground as his arms surged with power. The Imperator's Mural contained top-tier sword arts to be used in tandem with sword totem formations. When he raised his sword, lightning crackled around the Skyhold Bridge. Vapor Lightning Impulse blended together with the lightning from the Grand-Orient Sword and decapath era godswords, forming a gigantic net of electricity. A sovereign figure of lightning formed from the net and landed on Skyhold Bridge. This was the full power of Carnage Imperatoris!

"Die!" Tianming charged ahead, leading his totems along. His totems were the foundation of the blow, spearheaded by his own sword. Boundless sword ki converted into lightning to fuel the grand strike!
