Chapter 2604 - Soul-Body Singularity
The many different races in the astralscape had unique methods and techniques. As such, what appeared to be a three-on-three battle at first was far from what it would become. Lu Xuan alone had turned into a hundred tree humanoids that could extend countless branches, roots, and leaves and use them like limbs. Tianming, on the other hand, had a couple of Primordial Chaos Beasts. Xiaoxiao also had her Archaionfiend. Not to mention, Tianming also had his prime wonder, which could turn into Prime Cosmic Rings. All of them were singular units of battle on their own, making for quite a chaotic battle royale on Skyhold Bridge.
"Ling'er, Xiaoxiao, help Ying Huo and the others stop the divine wonderians and that phytospecter for me. I'll go look for Si— Fu Xun!" He almost called out Sixth's name, but corrected himself when he remembered that their conversations were broadcasted to the audience.
"Alright." Feiling nodded and spread ten pairs of primalwings. Her Azure Galaxy dress fluttered and glowed as she expanded Perpetia's field to encompass everyone and the divine wonders.
Xiaoxiao, despite also being an eleventh-astral orderan, hid behind Feiling. She felt nervous about taking on Weisheng Piaopiao.
"What's there to be afraid of? It isn’t like you'll die for real. The sooner you get eliminated, the sooner you'll get to rest," the Archaionfiend said, rolling its eyes as it got ahead of Xiaoxiao in a defensive position.
"You're right!" She came to understand that there wasn't a point in being nervous. It wasn't as if it was unwarranted, however. The Weisheng sisters seemed quite fierce and immediately attacked Tianming and his lifebound beasts with their divine wonders, fueled by their eleventh-level cosmoforce. Tianming needed someone to hold them and the hundred tree humanoids off if he was to get to Fu Xun.
The next instant, Feiling used her Flashsoul Skywings to intercept the attack coming for Tianming. Then she flapped her Heptaskill Cicadawings and shattered the incoming mirror-blades. Her reflection in those mirror fragments wore many exaggerated expressions; looking too closely at them could cause confusion!
"Move aside!" Weisheng Piaopiao was focused on Tianming alone. She loathed Feiling, who was the same kind of beauty as her, yet made her feel a sense of danger. Wielding a mirror-like cosmic artifact sword, she thrust toward Feiling with countless sharp mirror fragments attached to her blade. "A decoration like you should stay quiet in the corner!"
"Decoration?" Feiling's lips twitched. She hated being regarded that way the most. While she was always gentle and coquettish toward Tianming, she was far from amicable to others. She rapidly zipped around and switched to her Sapphire Skywings. When she spread them, countless blue crystal lances rained down on the enemy. At the same time, she unleashed Unitary Chaosrealm with a punch, causing a spherical area of space to form and unfold around Weisheng Piaopiao. Then she used Spacetime Sandflow to usher in a stream of temporal sands in front of her.
Within a short amount of time, she had used all of her most powerful techniques. Everything apart from the crystal lances was foreign and unnatural. The spacetime techniques locked Weisheng Piaopiao in the spatial dimension and slowed her advance in the temporal dimension. Not to mention chasing down Tianming, she wasn't even able to kill Feiling in an instant with her divine wonder sealed as well. Thanks to Feiling, Tianming was easily able to dash past Weisheng Piaopiao toward Fu Xun.
"Miaomiao!" Weisheng Piaopiao cried. The identical sister heeded the call and made an attempt to intercept Tianming. Among their group, the sisters certainly seemed to be the best in terms of fame and personal strength, so it was almost appropriate that they were in charge of dealing with him. The eleventh astral phase was called soul-body singularity. It had a great deal to do with the soul-head permeation of the third phase and five-organ skyfusion of the fifth phase. Those were the foundations that had to be laid for the eleventh astral phase, which was when the heptastar cosmic physique reached its final, developed state.
The undying nature of astral gods wasn't actually a given. It was a property that began manifesting at the first astral phase, but would grow and mature until the eleventh astral phase. The higher the level, the more powerful the regenerative capabilities of the astrons in the heptastar cosmic physique were. The eleventh astral phase signaled the achievement of peak regenerative capabilities. The astral soulbrain organ and the other astral organs would achieve perfect resonance to the point that even if the head was cut off and the brain completely crushed, an astral god would still be able to regenerate their head, as well as their soul!
The eleventh level of the Order stage was when the heptastar cosmic physique reached its peak maturity, while the twelfth level marked a milestone in the growth of order. In other words, Xiaoxiao and the members of the enemy party had incredibly powerful bodies, which translated to far more potent energies, allowing her Vortex Arrows and Tianming's prime wonder to stop Weisheng Miaomiao and her divine wonder.
The two sisters weren't enough to stop Tianming, thanks to Feiling, Xiaoxiao, and his lifebound beasts. "Nonsense! These ugly things aren't my descendants!" As Xian Xian spoke, it shifted from dryad form back to tree form. Once it established itself on the bridge, it began engaging the tree humanoids with its flower abilities.
