Chapter 2567 - Seven Years of Waiting

The Yin Chens that lay dormant within the astralships of the Star Hunters had yet to awaken. In other words, the Star Hunters were quite far away from the Myriadstar Zone, making it the perfect time for the Sun to arrive. That was good news for Tianming. Coupled with the temporary ebon inactivity, he had more than enough time to have the Sun absorb and digest the ownerless nova source worlds.

It had already been close to two decades since he came to Ebonia, though it felt much shorter to Tianming. For his grandfather, Wei Tiancang, and grandmother, Li Jingyu, who resided on the Sun, however, it was a really long time. Fortunately, they were able to enter the wondersky realm, so they were able to see him regularly. All of his family and friends on the Sun seemed to have been by his side all the time, so there wasn't any awkward sense of separation.

He took the Gladean Ruins to the Sun. When he finally saw it, he felt agitation welling up within. The skypiercer-class world before him was still shrouded by the cloaking formation; as the owner of the Sun's fusion formation, Tianming knew that Ji Ji was controlling it from within. The Sun looked like a pure pink star, almost like a miniature Gladeus. As long as the cloaking formation was turned off, it would shine bright pink in the astralscape. When Tianming was right before it, billions of omnisentient threads connected with his astrons. As the believers' cultivation levels were rather low, though, not much Omnisentient Will came from them. Even so, he delighted in their moral support.

"As long as the Sun is near me, I'll always feel a sense of security. It’s the foundation that supports me. As long as it grows stronger, I’ll grow stronger as well." Restoring the sun to the glorious Flameyellow Imperial Star was his true calling! His ambition soared at the sight of the world that belonged to him alone and he felt the astrons within his astral organs vibrating with excitement. Only the Sun truly belonged to him. The people and the land in it made up his kingdom. "Not seeing it for twenty years made me truly appreciate this land."

While bringing it to the Myriadstar Zone was a bit of a risk, it was also a rather straightforward plan with a good chance of succeeding. Tianming could no longer wait. As the Gladean Ruins approached the Sun, his Ninedragon Imperial Tomb flew out of it and entered the cloaking formation. He took Feiling, Xiaoxiao, and Moran with him.

"Young man, slow down and don't hurry," Lin Xiaodao said, watching from behind, yet Tianming could barely hear his words. His desire for the Sun was far too strong.

The Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, now a sanctuary-class ship, passed through the Flameyellow Guard Formation. Gold and crimson flames brushed past them from ahead. Even so, the astralguard formation of a skypiercer-class world was far too weak for the current Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, allowing it to easily enter.

With a final burst of flame, the vast world opened up beneath them and Tianming saw every single detail of the picturesque lands below. The Sun had been developed into a prosperous and peaceful place with rules to ensure peaceful living in his absence. Not much of that credit belonged to him, naturally. Tianming much preferred handing the reins of power to someone else while he sought out new adventures.

He marveled at the beautiful land he found himself in. "It took quite a while to properly renovate this place to be fitting of a skypiercer-class world, but we're going to have to usher in yet another great change."

The expansion of the fusion formation would cause the ground to crack apart and the seas to flood. In essence, the development progress that had occurred in the past two decades would be wiped out. They would have to start anew, with most buildings unable to be retained. The fusion formation would also be exposed.

On the other hand, raising the class of the world was something that would benefit every single living being on the Sun. As such, he didn't even bat an eye at resetting all that progress. Since he had decided to move the Sun seven years ago, he’d known that this day would come. As such, he’d had Li Wudi move the billions of denizens of the Sun into the Sky Palace Formation near the Sun's north pole. As the Sky Palace Formation was a part of the fusion formation, it was incredibly stable. Not to mention, it covered a much wider area than before.

To ensure that everyone would be safe from the upcoming massive changes, Li Wudi had tirelessly worked over the past seven years and had only managed to wrap things up last month. That said, his subordinates were the ones that did the actual bulk of the work, like Li Caiwei, for instance. The two sovereigns of Violetglory had also greatly contributed. "Either way, the Sun is ready to consume the ownerless nova source worlds!"

The Ninedragon Imperial Tomb quickly descended. Not far away on the mountain range below, Tianming spotted the Reaper. Lin Zhongtian and Lin Zhonghai had landed the ship on the Sun seven years ago and enjoyed an easy and relaxing time there. They came to welcome Tianming along with the red-haired Li Wudi.

"Tianming, my son, come give me a hug," Wudi said, arms wide and exposing his chest hairs to the wind.

"Godfather, my real name is Lin Feng. You know that," Tianming said, hurriedly avoiding the hug.

"Oh, yeah. In our sun, there’s at least thirty million people who call you that," Wudi said with a sly laugh.

Tianming ignored him, since they had already met so often in the wondersky realm. Instead, he greeted Lin Zhongtian and Lin Zhonghai, thanking them for standing guard over the Sun for seven years.

"Drop the formalities. Your godfather’s treated us with great hospitality over the past seven years. We’ve been waiting for this day, so let's not waste any more time and get things going," Lin Zhongtian said.

"Haha!" Tianming was more anxious to get things going than they were. But at that moment, the ground cracked apart and a little pink star came flying out, on top of which sat a pink-haired, pink-eyed girl. Tianming's eyes widened when he saw Ji Ji. "Damn, I forgot to bring a gift."

His heart shuddered at the thought of not rewarding Ji Ji for such a huge endeavor. Right as he was panicking over being pounded to a pulp, the pink spiritform of a girl leapt into his embrace and tightly hugged him, snuggling against his face and broke into tears.

"I've missed you!" Ji Ji looked at him with teary eyes.

That was... definitely not the reaction Tianming had expected. He stood there, completely frozen. As far as he was aware, Ji Ji had always been the most aloof of all his lifebound beasts, to the point that it appeared quite selfish and heartless. Perhaps it had taken a long separation for it to realize how it truly felt about him. He also suddenly recalled that Ji Ji was the youngest of his beasts. Despite Ji Ji hugging Feiling first during its hatching, it had leapt straight for Tianming this time around. Perhaps this is the deep master-beast bond brought forth through symbiotic cultivation.
