Chapter 2366 - Righteous Judgment
Tianming could only close a gap of five levels at most in a fight against Shenxi Shang, but he was confident in facing off against Yi Taoyao, a totemancer, as they were usually a level weaker than beastmasters. While Yi Daiyan was insanely powerful, the members of her clan could only approach the reges mundi in power, but not actually reach them. Their clan as a whole was probably on the level of the Dongshen Clan, so they had the reputation but no power to back it up.
"Go!" Either way, Yi Taoyao was the easier target to defeat, not that she was much weaker than Shenxi Shang. And that was taking into account that she had a layer of simulacrum.
"The power of her order is only average!" As she didn't have any lifebound beasts with orders, the power of hers couldn't even compare to Yishker Bushghan's; he had seven lifebound beasts, so the power of his order was eightfold!
Yi Taoyao shone with such a bright light that the entire battlefield was illuminated. Her rainbow-colored order field spread all across the sealed space and seemed piercing enough to be able to harm the albi of Tianming's eyes as well as permeate his body and burn the organs within.
Alas, no matter the capacity of her cosmoforce, there was only one layer to it.
Ying Huo and the others' orders added up to a total of five. Even though they didn't have order fields, even a simple rush of order was enough to cause her to furrow her brows. While the beasts’ orders were fueled by astralforce instead of cosmoforce, they felt almost as intense as Yi Taoyao's, giving Tianming an edge in that aspect.
"You don't have a heptastar cosmic physique and your lifebound beasts only use astralforce, so how can your orders be more powerful than mine?!" She was in the top ten and had an order that could measure up against the ebons', yet she didn't think that Tianming's would supersede hers. Incidentally, the one in the ranking with the strongest order was said to be Yishker Bushghan.
"Let's stop wasting words!" Tianming used his Prime Cosmic Rings to pave the way while his chicken and cat followed.
"You were the one that wanted to talk so much just now, okay?!" She was quite speechless. Her nunchucks exploded with power. She attacked and used her totemic calamities to suppress Tianming and his beasts. The totems that could independently use different weapons and battle arts were hard to deal with, and their totemic calamities even varied somewhat. Lan Huang and Yin Chen were easily pushed back by all that firepower; totemancy had its own advantages as well. The spiritforms of the totems could reform after taking small injuries. As long as they weren't completely destroyed, they could still fight, so there was less need for them to evade attacks.
"The power of the battle arts these nonachromic spiritfiends are executing can even match up to that of actual cultivators!" Comparatively, the only lifebound beasts that could use battle arts with such a high proficiency were Ying Huo and the twilight azure foxes of the Greenhill Yushan Clan.
"Xian Xian!" Tianming called it out to make up for Lan Huang and Yin Chen's faltering push. Xian Xian's veins, loti, spider lilies, and mares were unleashed all at once. Not even Yi Taoyao’s totems would be able to completely shake them off, with three of them immediately getting into trouble.
"Now, the rings!" Tianming had Ying Huo and the rest continue the charge and disrupt the enemies with their abilities. Meow Meow's abilities were just as powerful as ever! Lan Huang and Yin Chen didn't have many powerful abilities to begin with, so there was little they could do to help. "If only Sixth were here. Surely, it would have no trouble against the spiritual power of ebons or totems!"
He felt rather frustrated, and that feeling only grew the more he fought. His freshly recovered Prime Cosmic Rings expanded and came down on the totems while they were being assailed by the beasts' abilities. As divine wonders weren't proper spiritforms, they could change their shapes with more freedom. The rings quickly contracted and pulled the totems back, disrupting their attacks.
"Kill! Cut off her middle finger! Don't hold back just because she's a girl!" Ying Huo cried as it turned into a gigantic flaming phoenix and hugged one of the colorful goddesses with its large wings.
"Chicken Bro, leave a high-tier mount for me!" Meow Meow turned into its Regal Chaosfiend form and did the same, forcing the other totems to avoid its lightning bolts.
"A divine wonder?!" Yi Taoyao hadn't expected that she would be pushed back so much. While she could more or less match up against the beasts and Tianming himself, the fully recovered prime wonder was still comparable to his decapath era godswords in power. They were the equivalent of a few low-sanctuary-class warbeasts, and they managed to suppress her totems enough to give Tianming and his beasts room to push back against her.
Tianming clashed directly with Yi Taoyao, swinging his sword using his Fiendsky Arm. He executed Delayed Capture and Unistrike Singularity. Though he didn't have an order himself, he had brute force that was stronger than Yi Taoyao could wield! Her totems had no way to come to help her, being held back by lifebound beasts that even still managed to launch abilities her way. It already took a lot for her to counter those abilities.
"Accept your righteous judgment, nunchuck girl!" Tianming's twin swords came slashing down, the gold sword filled with infernal flint sword ki. Delayed Capture allowed his speed to reach the limit.
"How fast!" Yi Taoyao's own battle art was called the Ninemirage Fiendmantra. Her strikes with the nunchuck were incredibly rapid and contained impressive force. Coupled with her colorful order, it looked like she was wielding countless tubes of light. Though Ying Huo tried to get closer, it took a hard bonk to its head and was sent flying off as it shrieked in pain.
"Thanks for the block, Brother!" Tianming said, laughing. Seeing Ying Huo take that strike had allowed him to determine where Yi Taoyao was in that flurry of lights. He used that opening and executed Delayed Capture again! As astral gods were incredibly hard to kill, her Oldgod Ring shouldn't activate with a normal injury.
Yi Taoyao turned around, only to be shocked by the incoming strike. How could he be powerful to this extent?! She had to use almost all of her energy to block the incoming strike! And though her block sent Tianming flying back, she was still engulfed by flint infernal sword ki.
"There's more?!" Then came Unistrike Singularity! The terrifying pressure of space itself compressing inward made it hard for her to properly wield her nunchucks. "Huh?" She looked up and found that the black sword had tapped against her chest.
"I'm a gentleman, you see, so I won't penetrate you with this sword," Tianming said with a smile. Shenxi Shang vomited blood from sheer disbelief at the sight.
