Chapter 2302 - Soul Reaping Eight Sacrifices

“Excellent! Jianxing didn’t let me down!” Lin Sun emotionally rose to his feet and roared with laughter that shook the hall.

At that moment, everyone on Ebonia caught the exact moment Lin Jianxing turned traitor to attack Yi Zhuojun with three ebons. Yi Zhuojun immediately fell into grave danger under this sudden assault.

“He seized an excellent opportunity.” Lin Wuyi smiled.

“He just helped Yi Zhuojun block two people, so this was the moment he was trusted the most.” Lin Xiaoyun stroked his long beard in satisfaction and his grin widened. “If the fight gets more intense, Yi Zhuojun, Dongshen Xiaoli, and Lin Feng will all die. Lin Jianxing will represent the younger generation as he completes an important step for our Lin Clan’s change. Even if those stubborn old fools of the traditionalists want to stick to their ancestral teachings, when the whole world believes this is our declaration of loyalty to the ebons, they’ll be forced to bow to the changing of the times.

Lin Jianxing had lost his father when he was young, and Lin Xiaoyun had raised him. His achievements were Lin Xiaoyun’s achievements.

“Lin Xiaoyun has merit for the boy’s keen intuition.” Lin Jie’s position on his chair became more comfortable as he smiled.

“I can’t accept that praise. Jianxing is just one smart kid!” Lin Xiaoyun smiled back.

“No need to be humble. You did indeed contribute to this matter,” Lin Sun said.

“Father.…” Although Lin Xiaoyun was already old, he still felt emotional upon receiving his father’s approval.

“Let’s ignore the luxdaemons and Grandnorth Dongshen Clan for now. Hopefully, Lin Feng dies to the ebons so the second branch can’t pursue the matter. Their line will be cut off and Lin Feng’s wives couldn’t possibly stay as widows when they’re still so young. We may still have a chance for them to fall into our hands.” Lin Wuyi’s eyes shone.

“Good point. We don’t have many young men as excellent as Lin Jianxing. Still, he should just focus on Lin Linglin so we can secure our alliance with the Ninth Branch,” Lin Xiaoyun said.

“The problem is.…” Lin Jie frowned. Everyone looked over before he looked at Lin Sun and continued. “There’s only six walnuts, but Lin Jianxing, Lin Linglin, and the ebons make seven.”

Lin Sun was stunned as well.

At that moment, someone announced that the ninth branch’s Lin Changkong had come.

“It seems like the betrayal has made waves in the Lin Clan already.”

Who knew how many Lin Clan disciples would feel worried over the situation Lin Feng was about to be in?

……

Tianming wasn’t worried about himself right now, but Yi Zhuojun. As Lin Jianxing arrived, his swordbeasts fused with his sword and sword ki filled the battlefield. It was clearly the power of a cosmic impulse at work.

“How vicious!” Lin Jianxing and Qi Xuanzi’s actions were clearly meant to kill Yi Zhuojun within the shortest time possible to remove the greatest threat from the battlefield.

If Yi Zhuojun was killed, would Lin Jianxing be surrounded by the ebons next? Perhaps that had been a concern for him at the start. However, when the walnuts turned out to be six, he decided to take a gamble as one of the six walnuts would be slated for him!

And that would be enough. He could begin a new era for the Swordgod Lin Clan with his own hands.

“Run, Cousin!” Dongshen Xiaoli knew it was over when she saw the situation. She was still tied down by an ebon disciple and his warbeasts.

Tianming didn’t have time to respond. “Yi Zhuojun will die soon if I don’t help him! That’ll make things much more difficult for me.” Everyone was covered in green light, which made it hard to escape. Thus, he made his choice.

The myriadeye ghostdragon furiously scuttled toward him on its many legs. The over ten thousand eyes on its back actually peeled off its body and connected with the tentacles in the eye sockets. They used them to fly around, making it look like ten thousand ‘flowers’ were wriggling in front of him.

Lan Huang came out of the lifebound space and opened the battle with a Primordial Soundwave roar. The dozen warbeasts all cried in pain, and many of the ghostdragon’s eyes burst like a balloon.

Tianming’s other lifebound beasts left his lifebound space. Ji Ji’s genesis ancestral nova source poured into her older siblings, turning all of them pink.

“End it fast. Go!” As Tianming’s words fell, Lan Huang and Yin Chen fell on the low-sanctuary-class warbeast. Facing off against the dragon-headed centipede were a dragon and innumerable metal centipedes. Their fighting spirits had been ignited.

Xian Xian was in her dryad form in the back line. It flew around, flowers dancing around and black roots stabbing at the deific-class warbeasts. It then used Bloodrain Sword, Demise Greenloti, and Ghoulface Fiendblossom as a combined bombardment while lashing out with its Radiant Vines. Evernight Curse and Trisoul Fiendsong worked in concert to become pollen and sound that acted as suppression.

The violent warbeasts that lacked the three souls had met their natural nemesis. Back in the Archaion Divine Realm, Xian Xian had been the bane of broodmother lifebound beasts as well, as their children were all wildbeasts. And since then, it had gained an order and its cultivation had improved. It was perfectly able to suppress the deific-class warbeasts. By itself, it could tie down a dozen of them.

The warbeasts chaotically unleashed their abilities everywhere as they struggled, but they miserably screamed as Xian Xian ate them alive. Their massive bodies shrank at visible rates.

“Stop whining, I’m helping you all lose weight!” When it came to ‘eating meat’, the cute Xian Xian would reveal a demonic side comparable to Ji Ji’s lust for all things shiny.

When Cao Tama saw the warbeasts he had painstakingly tamed dying so fast, his eyes widened. “Fuck!”

It had all happened in an instant.

“Lin Feng!” he roared as a gray sickle appeared in his hand. Its cosmic impulse turned into gray mist. This cosmic artifact was the Soul Reaping Eight Sacrifices, while the cosmic impulse it contained was the Sacredgray, which had the power of death. If Sacredgray managed to escape to the surface, it would cause vegetation to wither and life to perish over a vast distance. It synergized quite well with Cao Tama’s deathly mist order, yet such a talented ebon disciple was only able to rank seven hundred plus in the minor reges mundi ranking!

“Die!” Cao Tama and his ghostdragon released a gray mist that swallowed up everything, including Tianming and his lifebound beasts. Ghostly cries rang out from within the mist and, upon contact with their flesh, even Lan Huang felt like venom was trying to eat into its scales.

Tianming snorted. He knew that the audience would definitely think he was a goner.

Ying Huo and Meow Meow had already gone to save Yi Zhuojun. Tianming’s Prime Cosmic Rings shot out and turned into nine massive white-gold discs that crashed into the ghostdragon’s body. Warbeasts were the core of an ebon’s power!

The ghostly eyes all gazed at Lan Huang, their soul-disturbing effect making it cry out in pain. However, in the next moment, Yin Chen passed through the gaps in its body created by the eyes leaving their sockets. Inside the ghostdragon’s body, it transformed into countless locusts that ravenously began eating, just like Xian Xian was doing.

It was now the myriadeyes ghostdragon’s turn to cry out! The Prime Cosmic Rings smashed down again.

“Die!” Tianming endured Cao Tama’s soul tempest while his Grand-Orient Sword fused into one and fell upon the ghostdragon’s body. Flint infernal impulse sword ki and vapor lightning sword ki intertwined and formed a sword over ten thousand meters long! From head to tail, the manifested sword bisected the ghostdragon.

At the same time, Cao Tama’s dozen deific-class wildbeasts were turned into dry corpses by Xian Xian. Cao Tama had lost all of his beasts; his face paled and he immediately retreated in Qi Xuanzi’s direction.

“Save me!”

“Huh?” Lin Jianxing and Qi Xuanzi had noticed the situation. In less than ten seconds, Tianming had crippled Cao Tama’s combat power!

“So strong?”

“Impossible!”

Both experts frowned.

“Yi Zhuojun’s fall is nigh. We’re enough, so the two of you go kill Lin Feng. Strange—a god can beat an astral god?” Qi Xuanzi hurriedly made his order.

“Yes!” Those two who had been besieged Lin Jianxing just now immediately shifted their target to Tianming. Qi Xuanzi had three low-sanctuary-class warbeasts himself, plus Lin Jianxing. He had only sent so much of his forces away because he was confident in his victory.

Tianming saw that Yi Zhuojun’s Oldgod Ring had been broken, which meant he had already suffered an otherwise fatal attack.
