Chapter 2264 - I Want Meat

“Then I’ll have to thank you for giving me a chance!” Tianming had only ever been wary of the low-sanctuary-class starvore frog, but never of Qi Qiling. He was already a fifth-level stellaminor, while his disciple card marked him as an eleventh-level.

Qi Qiling hadn’t noticed it yet. Tianming had still been an ‘eighth-level’ when they’d first met.

“I don’t know if Yin Chen can escape, but if I can quickly take her down and break her Oldgod Ring, the frog can’t continue based on the rules! I have to be fast!”

Alongside more than twenty warbeasts, Qi Qiling rushed toward Tianming. It was a shocking scene that perfectly displayed the might of ebon disciples. Their advantage would be huge as long as they were given the chance to use their warbeasts. Just counting her high-deific-class warbeasts, of which she had three that were almost as strong as the worldring skysnake. As for the rest, they were all low- or mid-deific-class and roughly as strong as the bloodline hairfiend.

Fortunately, Tianming had Xian Xian and Ji Ji. He would never be afraid of being surrounded with them around! Xian Xian’s Radix World Tree took root before unleashing countless Radiant Vines, Bloodrain Swords, Ghoulface Fiendblossoms, and Demise Greenloti, while also using the Evernight Curse and Trisoul Fiendsong.

Lifebound beasts like it were most suited for group battles. They could keep the entire battlefield under their control. The branches and petals began sucking the blood from those twenty-plus wildbeasts.

“I! Want! Meat!” Xian Xian made a gluttonous declaration without caring how it made it look.

Ying Huo, Meow Meow, Lan Huang, and the Yin Chens on Tianming all turned into four giant beats and collided with the enemy.

Blood and flesh went spraying everywhere! Yin Chen’s four billion bodies here turned into a flood of bugs, several hundred million of which surged toward the starvore frog. It turned into more balls to distract it, and some even took the initiative to throw themselves into its mouth. The remainder went for the warbeasts. The eight-starred ladybugs attacked while scorpions and jellyfish freely used their poison. There was no fear of death, as they couldn’t die.

Qi Qiling’s warbeasts had looked like quite a few, but they’d ended up being the side that was surrounded. The scene stunned many onlookers. Without the frog, Qi Qiling’s remaining warbeasts collapsed like rotten wood before Tianming’s beasts, which had orders.

With Xian Xian and Yin Chen, the two control experts, those low- and mid-deific-class warbeasts were only there to make up the numbers and couldn’t do anything. The remaining three high-deific-class warbeasts were handily beaten by Lan Huang and Meow Meow. After increasing three levels, they could easily trounce warbeasts that weren’t even the equal of a worldring skysnake.

In this scenario, there was even a free Ying Huo to help Tianming attack Qi Qiling.

Qi Qiling was starting to get the feeling that maybe something was wrong. She finally noticed his disciple card. “He broke through three levels?!” How had her brother’s opponent suddenly been promoted to be hers? She remembered how he had defeated the ninth-level Qi Hongzhen as an eighth-level. Now, she also happened to be one level above him.

“You’re nothing without the starvore frog!” If only her high-deific-class warbeasts were considered, Qi Qiling might even be weaker than the twelfth-level stellaminors of the Lin Clan. That said, of course, her soul attacks remained quite dangerous.

“Return!” Qi Qiling knew she had underestimated Tianming and hurriedly called back her frog.

The frog was currently deep in confusion from Yin Chen’s distraction. When it received the summon, it bounded away, shooting forth like an arrow.

“Too late.” Tianming was in front with Ying Huo following behind him.

Ying Huo was so skilled at using its wings that even Tianming could learn from him in dual-wielding. It first used its infernal order to burn Qi Qiling, then used Infernal Haze to create over ten thousand little phoenixes that were indistinguishable from each other.

“The power of order!” Qi Qiling’s expression greatly changed. That was something she couldn’t comprehend. Ying Huo’s order made her believe Tianming was an astralsea divinity and she mentally collapsed.

“Hiya, pretty girl!” Ying Huo shouted as its two wings moved, one using Mirage while the other used Starslaughter. In front of it, Tianming had also exploded with all his power for a speedy resolution. He used both his Fiendsky Arm and his two cosmic impulses to form two swords of spacetime that shot forward.

But even in the face of that pincer attack, Qi Qiling still managed to react. Her violet pupils released light that poured into her cosmic artifact. Brandishing the whip, it filled the sky with shadows that turned into malicious ghosts that launched themselves at Tianming and Ying Huo once more.

The cosmic impulses exploded upon meeting the wave of attacks.

The ebon’s counterattack was quite strong. Tianming paled, and even Ying Huo was leery of such soul attacks. Fortunately, its infernal order had prevented Qi Qiling from unleashing her full potential! Thus, she had strong offense but poor defense.

“I have the Soul Tower, but you don’t have a treasure that can block my sword!” The flint infernal sword ki wrapped around the gold Grand-Orient Sword, following its trajectory as it stabbed downward using Delayed Capture.

Ying Huo’s unpredictability, thanks to its Infernal Haze and sword art, left Qi Qiling unable to respond.

The Xiaozhi Sword Art’s Unistrike Singularity came piercing toward her next and space pressed down on Qi Qiling while Tianming grit his teeth and pushed through his soul’s pain, thrusting the black Grand-Orient Sword at her head!

In the moment the sword’s tip pierced skin, her Oldgod Ring activated, flinging Tianming and Ying Huo away.

They crashed down and Tianming felt so much pain his vision was blurry and his vita was still shaking from Qi Qiling’s soul attack. However, he knew that he had succeeded. The ring finger is important to me but you’re here competing with me for it. Your starvore frog is so strong, so don’t blame me for eliminating you.

His mind finally cleared a little.

The frog finally arrived and was about to attack when two enforcers popped up. Two middle-aged seniors, one male and one female, said in tandem, “Qi Qiling’s ring has broken, so the fight ends here.”
