Chapter 2233 - Battle of Intensity

During the council succession override, Ji Ji had supported Moran's divine wonders to the maximum to allow them to fulfill their full potential. But this time around, it didn't use a full integration like before. Since becoming a myriadstar beast, it had made huge strides in that aspect. Ying Huo and the rest, who were myriadstar beasts themselves, were completed by Ji Ji's energy, which made them pretty terrifying despite only being second-level stellaminors.

Tianming was confident that he could fight seven levels above him. Against the ebon geniuses, his lifebound beasts were his main crutch. Coupled with his Primordial Chaos Beasts, he was even fiercer than an ebon and their many warbeasts.

The lifebound beasts’ orders, especially, had greatly enhanced the might of their abilities. Ying Huo, Meow Meow, and Xian Xian fearlessly met the barrage of abilities from the fourteen large snakes that contained wind, fire, poison, frost, earth, and many other elements, launching their own abilities to counter!

Back on Flameyellow, lifebound beasts that hadn't reached the Ascension stage had to take abilities from wildbeasts. But the more they cultivated, the more their own abilities developed until they finally superseded those of wildbeasts.

With Ji Ji’s nova source and their orders' reinforcement, their abilities were inherently superior! Meow Meow's lightning blasts in particular were especially impressive. It used Triworld Afterlife Halls, manifesting an impressive hall of otherworldly lightning. The lightning bolts from the Xenoworld could damage the soul! The gigantic hall blocked the ability of the worldring skysnake before detonating, completely eradicating the abilities of the mid-deific-class warbeasts. Some of the remnant lightning bolts from the explosion bathed the snakes in a pool of electricity. The surroundings rumbled from the sheer force of the explosion, which was made more powerful thanks to the combination of Ji Ji's nova source, Meow Meow’s genesis order, and Blitzbane, Worldbolt Blast.

The presence of order alone ensured that there was no way the attack would be weak, thanks to the edge it brought to any stellaminor opponent.

Meow Meow wasn't the only one that launched an ability. Infernal flames exploded nonstop across the skin of the giant snake, burning its scales to a crisp. At the same time, Xian Xian's Bloodrain Swords, Ghoulface Fiendblossom, and other abilities rained down across the battlefield.

Xian Xian was particularly effective against nova wildbeasts, who had weak beastiae that allowed the ebons to take control of them. Among its abilities, the Evernight Curse and Trisoul Fiendsong worked particularly well on wildbeasts, directly interfering with their beastiae. The pollen from the Evernight Rose and the Fiendsong Mares' song caused the ebon’s control over his warbeasts to wane somewhat, which Tianming noticed.

Had Sixth not left, I could've cultivated my divine soul more and completely trashed all these ebons! It was a shame that that was the case. Xian Xian was only an amateur at targeting the soul, and the sixth Primordial Chaos Beast would no doubt be the best among the rest.

Ying Huo and the others' barrage had suppressed a group of snakes, clearing some space for Tianming. "Yin Chen, pave the way! Lan Huang, follow me! The rest of you, take care of the small snakes!"

His strategy was simple. No matter how well Qi Hongzhen protected himself, Tianming would still make his assault. Yin Chen's numbers were utterly beyond staggering, and its countless eggs took the forms of many different insects. Some eight-starred ladybugs self-destructed to open up a path while other eggs linked up together to form a gigantic centipede that swarmed the worldring skysnake, pinning it down! The snake wriggled and struggled, launching its ability and scattering the gigantic metal centipede, but it simply reformed into many silver spiders and spewed streams of Infinite Silverthread around the giant snake. Then the worldring skysnake began to frost up, freezing the entire area, Yin Chen, and its threads, before it shattered them into fine dust and broke free. It was completely enraged. Qi Hongzhen was also feeling harrowed for not being able to gain the advantage.

"Hmph!" Right as he decided to launch another assault on Tianming, his worldring skysnake getting back up, he saw a gigantic figure before him the instant before it collided with the snake! The humongous, porcupine-like beast left countless wounds on the worldring skysnake. It was Lan Huang's Primordial Swords. While Lan Huang was smaller than the snake, it still managed to knock it to the ground.

"I'll bite you to death!" Its claws dug deep into the flesh of the giant snake as its mouths furiously bit down. The amount of flesh the great reptile was losing was leaving it in a rather battered state.

Tianming's other lifebound beasts joined together and forced the mid-deific-class snakes to scatter, preventing them from coming to each others' aid. Xian Xian and Yin Chen did most of the crowd control, while Ying Huo took them out one by one. Meow Meow focused on suppressive fire and bombardment. Their roles were clearly defined. Having that many lifebound beasts with diverse capabilities was definitely a huge advantage. While Qi Hongzhen had many wildbeasts, they mainly fought in the same manner.

Thanks to that, Tianming and Lan Huang had ample time to seek out opportunities to attack, but the worldring skysnake wasn’t a high-deific-class nova wildbeast for nothing. Even as it was being heavily pressured, it still managed to use brute force to wrap itself around Lan Huang and counterattack! Its snake heads bit into Lan Huang's claws as payback, its venomous fangs snapping the Primordial Swords around the giant dragon’s scales as they sank into its flesh. Venoms of frost and flame flooded into Lan Huang's body, coloring its claws blue and red! Then the constricting began, snapping even more spikes off the scales and causing Lan Huang to shriek.

"It's tough alright!" Tianming furrowed his brows. If Lan Huang were alone, it definitely wouldn't be able to defeat the worldring skysnake, which was the enemy's trump card. Venom, abilities, and sheer brute force... it basically had everything. Even with the Greenspark Tower, Lan Huang still wasn't able to take it all, thanks to the gap between their levels.

However, no matter how powerful his lifebound beasts were, Tianming was still the strongest fighter on his team, which was the main thing that differentiated him from Qi Hongzhen.
