Chapter 2229 - Giant Green Skeleton

“What target? What’re you playing at?” Lin Lele asked with confusion, still not understanding Tianming’s strange actions.

Something Tianming had noticed was that the Oldgod Domain’s environment wasn’t as inhospitable as the Swordsoul Purgatory. The divine hazards present in the soil, rocks, holes, underground lakes, and rivers wouldn’t pose much difficulty for him or Yin Chen. However, the historical reports had stated that this was a chaotic and dangerous area that changed constantly. Any kind of monster might lurk here.

As Yin Chen had reported no dangers nearby, he could swagger straight to the target that was pointed out to him. The area was densely packed with four billion Yin Chens, so it was absolutely safe.

“Hey, don’t just walk like that! Something might happen!” Lin Lele chased after him and glared at him.

“Then how should I walk?” Tianming asked.

“Learn from me!” Lin Lele sucked in her gut and tried keeping her head down. “Being low-key is key, understood?”

Clearly, she hadn’t understood what kind of monster Yin Chen was. Tianming rolled his eyes at her and just continued fearlessly advancing. “Big Sis Le, just follow me and you can’t go wrong.”

“So confident? Fine, I’ll give you a chance.” Lin Lele rolled her eyes too. She no longer bothered trying to be discreet, as there was no point if Tianming was being so loud.

“Skeleton?” The skeleton wasn’t very near Tianming. He had to dig through the soil for an hour before finally reaching it. He used the Fiendsky Arm to smash apart a rock, revealing a path beyond.

There happened to be a metal ore vein nearby. While Yin Chen had reached its maximum number, its individual bodies still had room to grow. Thus, it began gobbling up the ore it encountered. After eating to the center of the vein, Yin Chen had discovered the skeleton. Usually, such a big ore vein would have taken tens of thousands of years to form, slowly absorbing nova source over the passage of time. No one had discovered the skeleton during that time.

Only Yin Chen would dare to casually eat in the Oldgod Domain, while others wouldn’t dare to barge everywhere.

Tianming shattered a wall of ore and rock, revealing a cave. A green mist and putrid odor immediately buffeted them. He swept his astralforce out to push it away as he examined the cave. It wasn’t large, so he quickly found the skeleton. “Not bad, you hid yourself quite deep. Yin Chen still found you in the end, though. It definitely has the talent to become a grave robber.” As an undying insect, Yin Chen could enter any place at no cost.

“What’s that?” Lin Lele jumped in fright. If Tianming hadn’t moved fast enough, she would have jumped right into him. His back probably wouldn’t have survived it.

“It’s just a skeleton.” Tianming walked toward it.

“Is this a specter?”

The skeleton was six or seven meters tall. However, specter skeletons had differences from human skeletons, yet this one perfectly conformed to a human’s structure. It stood ramrod straight and had a thick layer of dust on it that made it appear gray.

Tianming casually exhaled and the dust and crystals on the skeleton were cleaned off. “Oh, it’s green?” He was surprised to see that the human-shaped skeleton was actually green. The lustrous shade of green made the bones appear to be made of crystal.

“After becoming an astral god, bones will be tougher than flesh and blood, which allows skeletons to keep for a long time. However, with this pristine condition, I wonder how long he’s been dead?” Lin Lele had finally regained her calm and was now curious as well. Even with a god’s astral physique, there could still be many imperfections, such as the bones not having yet integrated with their cultivation system.

That was the principle by which bonegnaw ants worked.

However, when one became an astral god, all of their albi would become astrons. Their skeletons would also be united in the transformation, ridding the body of any clear flaws. Even for Lin Lele, who was only an early astral god, Tianming could still sense she was a more perfect lifeform. Her order could still suppress Tianming and Ying Huo! After all, it was backed by true cosmoforce.

“Big Sis Le, I plan to collect and slowly research it.” Tianming pointed at the giant green skeleton.

“Sure, you found it,” Lin Lele replied. She was a magnanimous person. However, she just couldn’t see what use a dead person’s skeleton would be.

Tianming reached out his black arm, which his spatial ring was on, to touch the skeleton.

“Someone’s here,” Yin Chen suddenly said.

“How far?” Tianming asked.

“Right outside.”

“The hell! You only said it when they’re already here?”

Yin Chen took a long time to pass on the message, but it meant that the two originally hadn’t been coming in this direction until the sound of Tianming’s digging had drawn them over.

Tianming didn’t dally anymore and touched the skeleton’s vertebrae. Usually, a person’s skeleton wasn’t just one piece. However, for astral gods their bones all attracted each other, which allowed him to draw the entire thing in as one.

“How heavy.” He involuntarily frowned. He’d had to use his Fiendsky Arm’s strength to lift it up so he could bring it into the ring. Spatial rings still had the weight of everything inside them, so the weight was constantly on his finger. Thus, he now had to constantly carry the weight of the skeleton.

“Alright, this is uncomfortable.” It would definitely affect his combat as well. However, since people were already there, he decided to just take it away first.

However, the other party arrived before he could leave! Two people entered, noticing the ‘green light’ within the cave before it vanished! The cave was now much more cramped with four people inside.

“The Swordgod Lin Clan?” a hoarse and cold voice said.

Tianming knew they had used his disciple card to identify him. The whole point of the minor reges mundi ranking was to show one’s identity. Everyone would know everyone’s identity, status, and level! That meant the other party was now aware Tianming was an ‘eighth-level stellaminor’.

Tianming could also see them. He lifted his head and was about to examine them when Lin Lele’s expression turned serious. “Ebon disciples.”

“Yes.” Tianming saw it too. They all liked to dress in large, black and red robes that had many wildbeasts embroidered on them. They had a unique aura as a race of soul cultivators, one rife with sinister killing intent.

The two were also a pair of a man and a woman.
