Chapter 2148 - I Need a Practice Partner For the Sword

Everything had happened in an instant. One moment, eighty percent of the audience was smiling as they watched the show. The next, their smiles turned stiff and they all rubbed their eyes in disbelief.

The one still up in the sky was Li Tianming, his white hair fluttering in the breeze. He was no longer acting mad or dumb. His sword split into two with a click, his left hand carrying the black Grand-Orient Sword, with an emperor's fury contained within, while his right hand carried the gold Grand-Orient Sword, which held the might of an emperor.

He had a completely different aura from the wastrel everyone had deemed him to be.

“His sword has a cosmic impulse!” Someone shouted, causing attention to gather on Tianming’s swords.

“Jianchen!” The six patrol members all rushed to Lin Jianchen’s side and looked at him with shock.

Lin Jianchen looked up at Tianming, feeling like a knife was being twisted in his heart.

“What’s going on? Isn’t he a twelfth-level solarian?!”

“The seniors also said he doesn’t have a minor stellar chart.”

The patrol members were confused.

“Get out of my way!” Lin Jianchen snarled and forced his bloodied body up.

Tianming was twirling his gold sword while his black sword rested on his shoulder. His gaze was rife with disdain and superiority. Everyone was still struggling to process the last turn of events while Tianming dropped another bomb, “All seven of you and your lifebound beasts come at me together, I’m in a hurry.” He summoned his six lifebound beasts.

Six beasts of different types! That was the highest talent for the Lin Clan. It would be perfect if they could become swordbeasts and Tianming had a grade-six swordheart.

“Charge!”

Lan Huang landed on the ground, while Ying Huo and Meow Meow flanked Tianming and a dryad flew around. The strangest beast, a pink nova source, turned into pink light that infused itself into the other five lifebound beasts.

“It’s go time!” Tianming pointed his swords at Lin Jianchen.

“Lin Jianchen, the seven of you need to fight with your all!” Some of the seniors in the audience could see the clues and warned the patrol team.

“Kill!” Lin Jianchen knew that danger was afoot even if he didn’t believe it. The seven patrol members released dozens of their beasts together. However, to increase their power, the swordbeasts merged into their swords. Beasts seemed to be racing across the seven sovereign’s swords. They had become weapons that could unleash a beast’s divine abilities!

“I’ll leave the riff-raff to you all,” Tianming laughed, infuriating the patrol members, who roared and attacked together. Sword ki immediately raged within the Infinitum Bodhimanda, and the frozen audience could naturally watch to their heart’s content from their front-row seats.

“Lin Jianchen underestimated his opponent just now. Now that he’s serious, he can do it.”

Just as many people were thinking that, Tianming’s beasts revealed their mighty firepower. Who said that only swordbeasts were strong? The first wave of fire, lightning, and flowers forced the patrol members back. Tianming’s lifebound beasts all had new abilities!

Ying Huo and his fine mastery of battle arts, the zippy Meow Meow, and the unkillable Lan Huang dominated the battlefield.

“Lin Feng!” Lin Jianchen successfully arrived before Tianming. But that was only due to Tianming not attempting to stop him as he carved a path through the storm of abilities with a sword that was wreathed in lightning abilities.

“Sorry, I need a practice partner for the sword!” Tianming fell toward Lin Jianchen like a meteor.

He used his fullstella battle art, Mirage Starslaughter, which he had been working on during this period of time.

His gold sword used the Mirage Sword Art. The wonderians had an affinity for illusions and this sword art of theirs had a very frightening illusory effect. To Lin Jianchen, at that moment, the entire world seemed to be filled with Tianming’s swords that were crashing down like a golden wave.

The husbands and wives of the divine wonderians would use it in perfect cooperation. Tianming, on the other hand, had split his mind to execute it. He might only have a single body’s worth of astralforce, but his cooperation was even better!

His prime mountain descended as well. It arrived fast, shattering Lin Jianchen’s lightning abilities.

Gold light flashed in the mirage. Each sword was like a shooting star hidden within the mirage as it descended. Finally, the Flint Infernal Impulse was mixed within. The new sword art wasn’t as domineering as the Ninedragon Tribulation, but its offensive power was even greater.

When the prime mountain moved out of the way, Lin Jianchen was left to face Tianming’s Mirage Starslaughter.

“A fullstella battle art!” A solarian using a fullstella battle art was the last straw for Lin Jianchen’s mental state.

Tianming’s gold sword struck Lin Jianchen’s sword and his swordbeasts wailed in pain. Then the sword blew past the Lin scion’s swordbeast-imbued weapon and directly lopped off his arm, sending it flying along with the sword as blood sprayed.

Then the black Grand-Orient Sword appeared in the midst of the golden mirage and thrust through Lin Jianchen’s chest. The two fell from the sky, with Lin Jianchen ending up nailed to the ground!
