Chapter 2056 - Unforgivable

Tianming hurriedly turned and looked at Kunlan Lake. It used to be a simple light blue foggy lake that didn't stand out in the astralscape, but now it was brightly shining in different colors. Misty fog filled the whole area, displaying all sorts of scenes of Feiling, Perpetia, pink crystals, the Well of Reincarnation, and cyclic bugs, but this time in full color instead of monochrome!

"Ling'er...." Tianming saw her again. She was within the ancient city, fighting against cyclic bugs in all directions. Heartfiend also saw the eye-catching projections; he was the one who had informed the Blood Abyss Wargod about it, prompting him to leave the Flameyellow Guard Formation.

The two divine astralships charged toward Kunlan Lake, but what really made Tianming mad was how the Eye of the Blood Abyss was charging up its nova source! A bloody aura gathered around the iris of the eyeball alongside countless divine celestial patterns that helped it lock on to Kunlan Lake. "Shameless!"

The Blood Abyss Wargod was the leader of the Voidsky Organization for a reason. His instincts and judgments were always sharp and on point, making him a brilliant commander. While he’d been shocked to find out that Tianming had emptied out Violetglory, he wondered why the brat had still stayed in its vicinity. He only finally connected the dots when Kunlan Lake began changing. It was clear that it was incredibly important to Tianming, therefore he would destroy it!

A red pillar of light came bursting out of the giant eyeball before turning into a huge snake. It was the ship's offensive ability, Sanguineous Voidsnake. The beast of pure energy opened its mouth wide, completely unimpeded. Fortunately, the Ninedragon Apotheosis had charged up in time, causing a gigantic nine-colored sun to intercept the bloody snake. The two attacks exploded, the light of the collision illuminating Kunlan Lake even more. Many of the projections from the lake were wiped away from the aftershock of the explosion alone and the lake itself seemed like it would collapse at any time.

Tianming saw Feiling turn pale, and even panic as a result of that. Perpetia itself seemed to shake from the wild power of the nova source outside. Any crisis outside would give her trouble inside as well. Her path to survival would be even harder, and that was yet another burden on Tianming! There was nothing he could do to help, especially with two other divine astralships still attacking the Flameyellow Guard Formation.

"If Kunlan Lake is destroyed, she might not ever be able to make it back," Xiaoxiao said with a tragic look.

"Ling'er!" Tianming looked at her projection and recalled the time they had gone to the core of the Divine Moon Realm to rescue Lingfeng. She was the one that held the xenomemory rope on the outside, all the while scattering and reforming from many Nirvana Rebirths, surviving in the end. But this time around, it seemed like fate wasn't looking out for them. They were in even more dire straits than they ever could have imagined.

"Fucking hell, I won't let anybody take her away!" His rage exploded. He'd had enough of constantly praying for her safe return but being unable to do anything about it. Not only that, he couldn't even ensure that she had a safe environment in which to work through what she needed. "Blood Abyss Wargod!"

His eyes turned bloodshot as the eight hundred million people connected to him resonated with his rage. Their rage gathered in his body, making it feel like his blood was boiling! Even the Blood Abyss Wargod could feel it from within his ship.

"He's angry? Then this must be the right one." To a sly fox like him, he was all too happy to learn of Tianming's anger. There was no better proof than that of how important Kunlan Lake was to Tianming.

"It looks like there's a girl in there. A beauty befitting of a hero, huh? Since that's the case, I'll make sure you'll regret it even if you live through this." He smirked and adjusted his aim toward Kunlan Lake once more. Enough nova source to rival the energy output of more than thirty moons began gathering as the gigantic eye glowed even bloodier than usual. The Blood Abyss Wargod wasn't worried about Tianming intercepting this attack at all. He was his main target, after all.

"Do you think a nobody like you can face off against the mysterians just because you found some legacy of an ancient star? We’ve been the rulers of this star sector for tens of millions of years!"

The bloody glow peaked, marking the incoming danger. Tianming's face was completely cast in a bloody red. He turned back and saw countless cyclic bugs swarming out of the Well of Reincarnation, leaving little if any breathing room within Perpetia. The brighter the lake shone, the more furiously the bugs attacked. In almost an instant, more than ten million of them had emerged from the well, completely dwarfing Feiling's figure. It was a storm of certain death.

Yet Feiling remained upright and firm. The colorful primalwings on her back flapped as she charged toward the bugs and into a stormy bloodbath. The fog outside the lake couldn't properly display all the details from the chaotic scene, but Tianming clearly noted her strong and unrelenting desire to live on. He was her biggest reason for living!

"Everyone that wants Ling'er dead is an irreconcilable enemy!" The light from the gigantic eyeball enveloped Tianming whole. No doubt, a ship of that caliber could charge up a far more powerful attack than the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb. The sheer wall of energy made the approach of Tianming's ship incredibly difficult, but the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb still forged through and rammed into the giant eyeball! Nine dragon heads bit and struck at it nonstop, but seemingly doing no damage to its impressive metal hull. It didn't even stop the charging of the blast.

Given how close the ship was to the zone of the attack, even if it managed to save Kunlan Lake, it would suffer immense damage. It was a pivotal, life-threatening moment, but Tianming couldn't allow Feiling's last hope of reincarnation to fail due to an outside force. While his ship was still harassing the enemy ship, he abandoned it and charged out of it!
