Chapter 2055 - Changes in Kunlan Lake

There was no way the mysterians would believe that a 'baby' of under thirty years old would actually be able to kill a savage fiend, a seventh-level sovereign like him. Yet death had indeed come too swiftly and fiercely. Nothing but his weapons, spatial rings, and the shards of his divine astralship remained. They all fell toward the sun, but Tianming didn't even need to pick them up. It was his territory, so nobody would be able to take it from him.

"Eight hundred billion Omnisentient Threads is far too ridiculous. If I was somewhere else, I'd just be a normal sovereign, but in my own territory, I'm a nightmare for the mysterians." Defeating a seventh-level sovereign in a single move had brought incredible confidence to him. He knew that he was incredibly powerful, but he didn't have any proof of that until now.

"While I'm limited to being this powerful only in a small area, they’re the ones coming to my territory to fight. They only have themselves to blame, then." Near the sun, Tianming could create endless miracles!

"Now, the Blood Abyss Wargod!" Tianming smirked and had Ying Huo and the rest return to the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb.

"It's boring! I haven't even gotten to fight yet, but my minion already took care of the enemy," Ying Huo said, sighing.

"You say that, but if I wasn’t here, you wouldn't be able to defeat anyone," Tianming said.

"Nonsense! Without me, you'd still be a small fry in Flamehaven."

Everything that was happening now was proof that his ambition to form his own empire was crucial. His efforts were finally paying dividends.

"Tianming, just focus on the Eye of the Blood Abyss! The other two ships have almost breached the formation, so I have to hurry to stop them!" Wudi hurriedly said.

Tianming had defeated his targets quickly enough, but the Blood Abyss Wargod and the rest wouldn’t be so easy to deal with. Wudi had focused all of the formation's energy on the Eye of the Blood Abyss just now, allowing the spleen and liver ships quite a bit of leeway.

"No problem." With his confidence raised, Tianming quickly returned to his ship and piloted it through countless flaming beasts toward the enemy mothership.

......

"Lungfiend’s dead." Within the crimson halls was the Blood Abyss Wargod. He had only one large, bloody eye near his chest and was conversing with a few other sovereigns through a golden transmission stone that enabled much faster communication than normal ones. The sun emperor had also used something similar.

"How could that be possible?" the other crimson figures said in disbelief.

"The divine astralship was destroyed first. Then Li Tianming came out of his ship and killed him in one move."

"That can't be, he isn’t even thirty. Did he really use his own power? Is he really that powerful, or is he just faking it?"

"Perhaps he isn’t really that young at all. But then, how did he enter the Tranquil Battlefield?"

The discussion continued for quite a while.

"Either way, we can no longer afford to underestimate him. Heartfiend, report to the Three Sovereigns Mysterium and wait for further instructions. Also, make sure to move further away from the conflict zone," the Blood Abyss Wargod said.

"Understood!"

"Admiral, the two of us are almost through! We await your orders!"

"Prioritize the seeding of voidheart worm eggs once you're in. The enemy probably only has a single divine astralship, so I'll hold them off."

"Understood!"

"Admiral, given how powerful Li Tianming is, he might be foolish enough to challenge you in a duel. Perhaps that'll be your chance to kill him," one of them said.

The Blood Abyss Wargod smiled, but shook his head. "There's no need for that. The enemy's divine astralship may be powerful, but it can't compare with the Eye of the Blood Abyss. Not to mention, I'm well aware of the tricks that divine astralships are capable of, so taking his ship down won't be an issue. Having him as an opponent, however, is filled with unknown variables. There's no need for us to take any risk, now that the odds are stacked in our favor. Not to mention, he has so many treasures that killing him would be a waste. If we really can't take him down, it won't matter. All we have to do is to monitor the location of the sun and wait for the arrival of the other two Sovereigns Mysterium and the main fleet. Li Tianming's threat level is high, given that he's able to kill Lungfiend."

The figures on the golden transmission stone nodded.

"The admiral is right. We do have the advantage, though not as much as we imagined."

"Let's see if we can plant the voidheart worms first. If not, we can just retreat."

"The worms are rather crucial, just in case the sun has some trick to shake us off."

Tianming would be tearing his hair out if he heard that. He wasn't afraid of a drawn-out conflict with an enemy that arrogantly thought they could take the whole sun. His worst fear was top elites that were as careful as Crimsonjade Qiang. Yet killing Lungfiend had made them treat him with even more care than before.

The Eye of the Blood Abyss focused on keeping the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb occupied, rather than trying to take it down, while the other two ‘organs’ gave it their all to break through. Wudi was fully occupied with stopping them. As for the mothership, it was almost like a divine astralship version of Lan Huang, with the flaming beasts of the formation barely able to breach its hull. The Ninedragon Imperial Tomb didn't have much luck with that, either, and they reached something of a stalemate. Tianming had tried many ways to incite the Blood Abyss Wargod into fighting him in person, but the latter didn't bite.

"Godfather, how’s it going on your end?" Tianming asked.

"It's getting troublesome. Those two are attacking from two different directions, spreading me a bit thin. It's quite tough," Wudi said.

"They've stopped being careless. We can't go on like this."

The fights on both fronts had reached a stalemate, and if they were allowed to drag on, the enemy’s reinforcements would only grow. The divine astralships headed for the Flameyellow Continent had no doubt changed course, including the two Sovereigns Mysterium that were coming.

Right during this moment of crisis, something suddenly changed. Yin Chen reported, "Kunlan Realm... Something's happening!"

"What is?"

"Can't say... for sure... you must... come over... to see!"

"How's Ling'er doing?" Xiaoxiao agitatedly asked. She was on the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb as well.

Before Tianming could respond, the Eye of the Blood Abyss stopped pestering him and flew upward instead. "Does he also know about the change in Kunlan Lake?"

Now that it had flown out of the formation, there was nothing Tianming could do about it. He steered his ship out of the flaming clouds and into the shining starscape.
