Chapter 953: The Creation of a Godly Item (Part 2)

Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio

Not only were there memories of the demon dimension, there were also memories of the time when Nailisi was imprisoned in the Goddess’ temple. Amongst the demons that had been imprisoned, Nailisi was the weakest.

Every supreme demon and devil could have killed her easily without much effort.

These supreme demons and devils were carefully gathered by the humans and they had all formed a deep impression in Nailisi. After she survived the ordeal, all the supreme demons and devils became her source of food. That was the feeling of devouring fear. Nailisi would never forget how she trembled as she chewed on the bones of those corpses. The remnants of power in those corpses were so overwhelming that her mental strength almost collapsed.

She would have died of hunger if she did not eat them, but when she did, it felt as if she had swallowed the sun. Nailisi thought that she no longer remembered those times. The times that she has spent with Saleen had been happy, even when they were involved in battles.

So, what if she was deceived? It was Saleen who rescued her from that place.

Not only did pain linger in the memories, it also manifested itself in her body. Nailisi tore at the horns on her head while bashing her forehead forcefully. Each time she bashed her forehead, the figure of a devil or supreme demon would fly out and integrate into the dimension.

All the painful memories were extracted very slowly and were being absorbed into the Purgatory of Devils.

The pained expression on Nailisi’s face remained. Her memories were too complicated and chaotic. Who knew how much time she would need in order to extract all of the pain?

As the dimension absorbed Nailisi’s memories, it slowly became more and more perfect. The items in Nailisi’s memories were all replicated by the Luoluokaluo bloodline. Each devil that she had devoured had possessed the rule of the demon dimension. Their bodies corresponded with the rules. If not for Nailisi’s unique bloodline, their bodies would never be replicated so perfectly based on memories alone. Those memories concealed too many secrets.

The Purgatory of Devils was absorbing Nailisi’s memories and perfecting the rules. The humans that had captured the demons back then had also depended on the rules of the demon dimension for guidance as to which demons to capture. Those demons had since become extinct, and as the demon dimension was implicated by Myers Mainland dimension, its powers decreased dramatically. As a result, many of the powers of rules also become extinct.

The Goddess of Myers probably never expected that the final effort of humans was to keep these rules locked up in Nailisi’s painful memories.

In the end, the rules were integrated into the Purgatory of Devils. At that moment, the Twelve Notes of Purgatory no longer had anything to do with the demon dimension. Even if Hades was to come by personally, he would not be able to take back the Twelve Notes of Purgatory anymore.

Nailisi had yet to figure out what was happening, but back in Lonestar City, Saleen and Lex were both taken aback at the same time. That was because an incredible power of rules was emanating from Aini’s magic tower. Aini was trying to control it with all his might, but to no avail.

Saleen and Lex put down whatever they were doing and flew over to Aini’s magic tower at the same time.

Back in Aini’s magic tower, Sharman was already unconscious. When Aini sensed that something was amiss, he had quickly knocked her unconscious. When Saleen and Lex entered the eighth level of the magic tower, they saw a three-dimensional image floating in the middle of the magic tower.

Neither Saleen nor Lex recognized the image. It looked like the combination of a three-dimensional magic array and magic runes. That was the source of the incredible power of rules that they had detected.

The power of rules might be incredible, but it seemed to be able to differentiate between friend and foe as it did not harm Saleen and the rest. Based on that alone, Saleen could conclude that there was a source to the rule.

“Is this because of Nailisi? What has she done?!”

Saleen thought for a moment before asking Aini to bring Nicholas over. When Nicholas saw the floating symbol, he said, “My Lord, it’s Nailisi! Something has happened to the Twelve Notes of Purgatory.”

“I know. How can we contain this power?”

There was pained expression on Nicholas’ face as he said, “My Lord, I can only try my very best to use grade-10 divine spells. The power of this rule is complete and cannot be suppressed.”

Nicholas was right. When the power of the rule appeared, its reach was so wide that all the spirits of the dead that were in the city or within a hundred miles were all cowering on the ground in fear.

The demons in the camp were also kneeling down with their heads touching the ground. Their bloodlines could sense that it was a rule from the demon dimension. It was not something they could resist.

All the mages were flustered as they had no idea what had happened. They could only sense an incredible power from Aini’s magic tower. All of Lonestar City would have turned to dust if the power had been unleashed completely. Nothing within 100 miles would be able to survive.

Could it be that Aini’s magic experiment had gone wrong? That was impossible. Although Aini was capable of summoning powerful creatures, he was still just a grade-8 sorcerer at the end of the day. It was not possible for him to create such terrifying power.

Saleen calmed down. He knew that Nailisi must be in trouble. This transformation that the Twelve Notes of Purgatory was undergoing was probably not something she had expected. How could he save her?

“Nailisi?” Saleen tried to call out to the imp in his heart.

In the Twelve Notes of Purgatory, Nailisi was in pain. She was even trying to use weapons to smash her horns. She managed to retain some of her senses, which was probably the reason why she had yet to cut herself with the Sword of Rules and destroyed her body completely.

Nailisi spat the Dragon Crystal Needle at the sun in the sky. The sun looked exactly like the one in the demon dimension. It was red but looked as if there was no heat to it. In the blink of an eye, the Dragon Crystal Needle fused with the sun. Distance was not an issue in that dimension. The dimension was small, and the sun was nothing more than an image.

The Dragon Crystal Needle shot into the emptiness that divided the 12 dimensions before turning back and piercing straight into Nailisi’s arm. She was in great pain, for the Dragon Crystal Needle harnessed the power of ancient giant dragons.

The Needle was refined for Nailisi by the Grandmaster and had contained magic traps initially. It could have been summoned back by the Grandmaster anytime. Since the magic traps had been destroyed by Saleen, the item had regained its original abilities. It was an equipment that possessed the attributes of giant dragons. The only way it could attack was by making use of its sharpness to penetrate the enemy’s body.

Nailisi’s devil-form was unable to block the Dragon Crystal Needle. Her entire arm turned into dust from the impact of the Needle. It was not as if she was a grade-18 devil. She was never going to be able to handle the power of ancient giant dragons.

Nailisi screamed in pain as she tore her arm off.

Boom!

The entire arm exploded. The cuticle outside of the arm transformed into a terrifying weapon, shooting thousands of holes into Nailisi’s body. She was in so much pain that she drew the Sword of Rules and was about to cut off her own head. She had already lost her sanity.

“Nailisi!”

Saleen’s voice rang in Nailisi’s head. She stopped herself as her eyes opened wide and she listened intently.

“Nailisi!”

Saleen continued to call out to her. He could feel the soul connection between them. In the past, he would have been afraid to take this step, but ever since he personally witnessed the transformation of souls, he finally understood more about souls.

He used the power of souls to call out to Nailisi and she heard him.

The Sword of Rules dropped silently and pierced into the ground. Nailisi knelt down slowly. Tears were streaming out of her eyes.

“Master...”

Crack...

Nailisi could hear the bones in her body cracking. She was no longer afraid. Deep in her heart, Saleen never stopped calling out to her.

It was as if tens of thousands of bloodstones were exploding within Nailisi’s body. Between her two foreheads, a new head was growing. This one only had a very short horn. It was so fragile that it exploded soon after. There were countless shards of memories containing the fear that came from the depths of Nailisi’s soul, and they flew into the Purgatory of Devils.

Nailisi’s soul suddenly broke out of the devil-form and she turned back into an imp instantaneously. As for her devil-form, it exploded completely and integrated into the dimension.

“Master, I am alright...” Nailisi was communicating with Saleen in her heart. She did not leave the Purgatory of Devils immediately. She opened her mouth and took a deep breath, swallowing countless gigantic symbols. Then, Nailisi twisted and turned her body, transforming into a devil again.

Nailisi had already lost most of her energy. The devils that she had devoured back then had already been absorbed by the Twelve Notes of Purgatory. It was her own ability that she was able to transform into a devil again. The ability had become more powerful than before. In the past, Nailisi still had to resort to borrowing power, but now transforming into a devil had finally become one of the abilities of her bloodline.

The first ability of the Luoluokaluo had completely taken shape.

Nailisi’s devil-form was less than two yards tall. There were no unnecessary spikes on the surface of her body, except for thick and sharp horns growing on her shoulders, elbows, and knees. The horns were not long, and their main function seemed to be to protect the vulnerable areas on her body. Nailisi had three heads that lined up perfectly and her four arms were of equal proportions.

She seemed to be a young devil that would slowly grow as it consumed more food. It had nothing to do with training anymore.

“Master, I’m coming back!” As Nailisi’s voice rang out in Saleen’s heart, the image that was floating in the air began to turn transparent. All of a sudden, it vanished and Nailisi stepped out from emptiness. She was giggling while hugging Saleen.

All of a sudden, the incredible power of rules vanished and a book with a black cover appeared in Nailisi’s hands. On the cover of the book there were exquisite runes that seemed to have been sewn directly onto it.

Saleen pushed Nailisi away and took the book. He inspected the book carefully with his elemental eyes but failed to see any power emanating from it. It was an equipment beyond grade-12!

To mages, an equipment that was beyond grade-12 was considered a Godly Item! Nailisi had refined a Godly Item, yet no harm had come to her. Saleen looked at the new Twelve Notes of Purgatory and did not know what to say.
