As she saw the dagger appear in Ye Qian's hands out of nowhere, unlike Bo who stood by the door with his jaws almost falling on the floor and eyes popping out of his head, the lady sitting on the bed was comparatively much calmer.

And from little to no change in expression on her face, Ye Qian knew that things were not as simple as he had thought of them to be.

This lady was not even a bit surprised to see the dagger appear in his hand, so he had a vague doubt that she knew more than what he wanted to learn from her.

"Hmm, I know what you want to know, I will tell you everything from the start."

The lady wiped her tears and then looked into Ye Qian's eyes.

"It was 2 years ago, my son, I and my husband went on a short trip."

Recalling the events from the past, she went back into her memories.

"Mom, look there are so many big trees here, wow, there is also a green parrot see mom."

The cheerful voice of a 5-year-old sounded in a canopy of excessively tall trees.

"Haha, they are indeed much taller than the ones that I have seen before, Huo, don't run or rush, if you fall it will hurt you a lot."

A woman in her mid 30's nodded before again warning the child to be careful.

"And be careful to not get close to any animal."

But instead of being careful, the little guy only jumped off the small rock while giggling at his mother.

"Hehe, mom, see I can jump here."

"You, I said don't jump and you are jumping on purpose, don't get your crying snotty face when you fall on your face."

The mother said while raising her palm and showing as if she was going to slap him.

Seeing her son only giggling and continuing jumping, the woman turned towards her husband who was walking beside her.

"I am really amazed as to how you found this place?"

She seemed surprised as she took a glance around the awfully beautiful surrounding which was enough to make her lose all the worries of their life.

"Haha, a courtesy to an old friend, he said that if I don't want to go to places which are crowded with people then the mountains would be the best place to relax and also have an adventure of some sort."

"Ohh, that relates, since you won't think of it yourself."

The woman giggled, causing the man's face to turn dark.

Seeing his face turn like he had been made to eat bitter gourd, the woman shook her hand and hugged his hand.

"Haha, alright, but tell me who told you about this place, it's really different from all the mountains that I have heard of."

Seeing his wife acting so, how was he going to stop answering her?

"After searching for places on the internet, I found that going to the mountains can't be a really good choice since there are always chances of encountering wild animals."

"Hmm."

The woman nodded, it was true when coming to the mountains it was unsure what kind of animals they would encounter, some might be good, some might be afraid of their presence and some might even attack.

But so far she had not noticed any presence of any animals that had limbs in fact, she was also wondering about this peculiarity.

"After searching for a few days, I finally found that this place didn't have any wild animals, most of the time it would be occupied by numerous birds and a few small animals which were pretty safe for a good trip for relaxing and spending time with you two."

While the woman was still looking around at the weird feeling that was developing in her heart, the man reached his hand to her waist pulling her closer to him.

"Ahhh!"

Being grabbed by her husband and pulled all of a sudden, the lady shrieked as she slapped her palm on his chest.

She then furrowed her brows and looked around with her red cheeks.

"What are you doing, our little guy is still around."

"Haha, see, in this green place, your red cheeks are really vibrant."

The woman pouted her lips, moved her face sideways and pinched his arms that were holding her.

"Stop teasing, let's go, the little guy would get lost if we are not close by."

She looked around still noticing a weird feeling that was rising in her heart.

"Don't forget, this place might be safe, but it's too big to be lost too."

"Hmm."

The man nodded as they followed in the direction their son had gone.

But finding that he was just a few ten meters away from them, they quickly followed and caught up to him.

"Mom, this is for you."

Just as they reached, the little guy turned to his mother.

When his mother looked at the thing that was in his small hands, her eyes couldn't help but turn crescent as she dotingly looked at her son.

"Aww, my lovely boy brought flowers for me?"

"Yes yes."

The little guy nodded causing his mother to squat over and give him a peck on his cheek.

"See mom, they are so beautiful."

"Yes, they are."

The lady smiled lovingly, taking the small flowers in her hand and taking a sniff of them.

"They are really fragrant."

She nodded while placing the flower onto her hair bun.

"Mom, I heard water falling on that side, can we please go there?"

The little guy pointed at the deeper parts of the mountains and urged with a begging look on his face.

Of course, with this gift and their love for their son, they couldn't reject him and nodded.

"Okay, but don't run, it will be slippery, and you will fall."

The mother instructed.

"Yes, Mom, I will only go there with you."

The little guy nodded and then took a few steps in hurry towards the direction.

The mother could only shake her head helplessly knowing that he definitely didn't mean what he said.
