"Miss Yuan Meng, is it?"

The vice-rector glanced at Yuan Meng who stood a few meters away from his desk and asked.

"Yes."

Yuan Meng felt disgusted by his gaze, but since there was someone else in the room, she didn't want to cause any trouble.

Actually, she really didn't think that it was important to do a job for her right now, given the job that Ye Qian had gotten this time, she knew that his salary would not be any less than 15,000 Yuan which was more than 3 times than what she would make while coming to school to teach.

But Yuan Meng also thought that it was not good if she were to get away from her job just because Ye Qian was back and would be earning enough for their family to live properly.

She definitely would not want to live off him, all those years ago, she was asked by Grandma Yan to not work since Ye Qian was earning enough, but right now Yuan Meng didn't want to do the same.

She wanted to contribute at least something to their family.

Although she knew that the money she would earn was minuscule when compared to Ye Qian, she would still feel content.

Ye Qian had already bought her and the girls and Ning Wei so many things, although she didn't really know how he got so much money, she was sure that he would have not done anything that was not right.

Because that was Ye Qian.

But even that was a part of the reason, there was something even more.

Knowing Ning Wei, Yuan Meng knew that right after she left, it would not be easy on her.

It was because the two had each other that they could still fend off the gazes of a few who were eyeing them all this along.

Yuan Meng was aware that there was also no way that Ning Wei would want to resign from the school until she got a new job for herself and she would definitely not want to live in their house while only eating and spending all day without doing anything.

Even if she was weak in her heart and very silly to be hurt and lose control of her heart and emotions, Yuan Meng knew that there was no other woman other than Ning Wei who had her back.

In fact, deep within her heart, Yuan Meng admired Ning Wei quite a lot.

She knew that Ning Wei was an orphan and that there was absolutely no one in her life which she could rely on.

Although her childhood was not any good, Yuan Meng was sure that it was not like Ning Wei's, as she had many people who cared about her even after her mother had left her and her father never deemed her as his child.

But still, she was not completely lonely and had no one to believe in and by herself as Ning Wei had.

But the moment she left this job, although it would not affect her much, Ning Wei would meet some drastic changes.

With her alone, she would then be easily caught in a corner and Yuan Meng didn't deny the possibility that the frail beauty would cry every day in a corner but not voice her heart out.

The vice-rector nodded at Yuan Meng's answer and then turned to the peon before saying.

"Ohh, can you leave, I want to talk with Miss Yuan about something."

"Yes sir."

The peon nodded before taking a look at Yuan Meng with his lips pursed.

With that, he then walked beside Yuan Meng and paused for a moment before walking away.

But this flash of the moment was enough to let Yuan Meng notice quite a few things.

When he walked away, she noticed that his fists were tightly clutched and as he walked by her, Yuan Meng also could hear his breathing was really rugged.

It was as if he was really angry at something.

For a moment, Yuan Meng could not help but think that the peon was angry for her knowing that the vice-rector had ideas about her.

'But I have never seen him before?'

But no matter how much she thought, Yuan Meng could not remember if she had even seen this person before.

She wondered as she glanced at his back as he walked out of the office room and as the door shut itself, leaving only her and the vice-rector inside.

"Miss Yuan, please come and sit, I want to talk to you about something certainly important."

While she thought an irritating voice entered her ear.

From the voice, one would sense that the owner didn't have any good motive and was almost grinning in his heart.

"Hmm."

Yuan Meng nodded, but no matter how much she felt disgusted and recoiled, staring at this man's face, she knew that she would have to accept what he was asking for her to do and get to know what he really wanted to tell her.

"Miss Yuan, as you may know, you have been sent a letter about being expelled from the school last week."

The vice-rector said, this time his grin vanishing as he stared at her with seriousness.

"But still, you have come here, what should I say about this?"

He asked, making it obvious that he knew that she was going to come to the school even after getting an expulsion letter last week.

"I want to know why?"

Yuan Meng asked plainly without a hint of a change in her expression.

From the moment she had sat on the chair, Yuan Meng had started to feel extremely relaxed as her mind did not waver with numerous thoughts.

She suddenly started to feel that no matter what, if things didn't go according to her thoughts then she would get Ning Wei along with her and would find some other work.

It was as if she didn't feel worried about anything.

Neither about money nor how Ning Wei would feel worried after leaving the job.
