I liked this chapter, albeit there was much more I would've liked to add.

Well, that's how it usually goes, you never feel you did everything you could.

Enjoy!

[DING]

'Here it comes... This feeling...'

'The World... Time has stopped.'

'Just who is doing this? The System, the Gods, or maybe even, something else entirely?'

Having a new perspective on the world he stood in right now, Dale felt fearful and curious about the mysterious phenomenon of he felt whenever he was given such a choice.

The clock was ticking, time wouldn't remain still for long.

It would slow down and stop and eventually take up the pace again.

And before everyone's eyes fell on him he had to have his choice ready at hand.

Focused, he listened to the Notifications:

[A new event has been triggered, Resko's Management]

[In your brave expedition to slay a monster of great power, you heard the faint whispers of a civilization, a cry for help from those that had been forgotten amidst the rubble and the despair of their ancestors]

[Like a Hero sung by bards, you descended from the sky, saving the forgotten survivors, the last embers of a faraway time from being fully extinguished]

[Like a messiah prophesied in legend, you led them through their biggest hurdle and to where they always dreamed of being, the world outside, Resko, the Capital of the South. All without a single loss]

[And lastly, but by far your greatest achievement, through a bloody ritual, the beast that cried within the great woods was finally silenced under the mighty weight of your fists, witts… And teeth]

[With it, a moment of respite was given to all citizens of Resko for them to relax and take a breather, but how long it'll last and what its citizens will make of it is nothing but a mystery]

[You've been given a choice]

[Against all odds, a small kindling of the Southern Corps lasted through the passing of a decading Era. Surviving amidst the ruins of their past glory, they have now resurfaced to grasp the destiny they were deprived of!]

[With their appearance, Resko has now successfully rid itself of one of its biggest problems, numbers]

[However, not everything is a field of flowers]

[You may trust both sides but the same cannot be said about them]

[Their old and young are fearful of each other, and one's superiority in both numbers, strength, and capability will crash whatever balance you may try to uphold in the present and in the future]

[Unable to resume their past activities, the Original residents of Resko are fearful for their families and their own self's safety]

[The fragile budding that the current Resko is cannot support such segregation, much less a Civil conflict to ignite]

[The tension is at an all-time high and without a common goal for all to set their eyes toward, there will never be a time when they'll see each other eye to eye]

[For the Survivors, now that their dream has been achieved, they've found themselves at a loss. With too much energy at their disposal and no output to release it, they're growing frustrated over their own future]

[Their spirits ablaze and your influence at an all-time high, it is time to make a choice]

[Every group needs a leader if it wishes to flourish, it can be an individual or many, united or not that decision is yours to make]

[To the person that carved the way out of the woods, take a step forward one more time and show them the way, as your light is their glory]

[Due to your recent actions, available options have been divided into 4 possible scenarios:]

[Formal Establishment of the Elder Council -> The current Council of Elders that has 'ruled' over Resko for the past few decades will be reformed and a new one will rise, taking in representatives from both sides.

The basic system that has been implemented to rule the Village will see little change in the Short term, and it'll likely maintain itself in the Long term too.

All current Elders will have a position in this new Council, ensuring their side's representation in future decisions.

Due to this, the Elders will be unable to fully detach themselves from their position, impairing their secondary activities as Resko's grows in numbers.

In the Short term, a Mayor won't be elected, depriving the city of a Higher decision-maker and leaving the ruling in the hands of the arbitrary consensus of two very distinctive groups.

Due to this, the Villagers will lose all tension, seeing as to how nothing's changed, while the Newcomers will feel estranged if not ostracised from the current government.

There is a significant chance for conflict to arise from this Government structure.

There is a significant chance that the rate of segregation between both groups will increase.

The Church will remain impartial to all governmental activities due to its current state.

[Estabilishment of a small-scale Hung Parliament -> The current Council of Elders that has 'ruled' over Resko for the past few decades will be abolished and a Parliament will be raised to govern Resko.

The basic system that has been implemented to rule the Village will see considerable change in the short term, and great modifications in the Long term.

All current Elders will have a position in this new Council, ensuring their side's representation in future decisions, however, due to the increase in representants of both sides, their influence will be decreased.

Due to this, the Elders will be unable to fully detach themselves from their position, impairing their secondary activities as Resko's grows in numbers.

A Mayor will be elected from Resko's side to ensure their vision becomes a reality in the Long term.

Due to this, Resko's original residents will feel greatly relieved, having all of their tension washed away, while the newcomers will feel detached from the current government.

There is a small chance for conflict to arise from this Government structure.

There is a sizeable chance that the rate of segregation between both groups will increase.

The Church will remain impartial to all governmental activities due to its current state.

[Estabilshment of the House of Lords -> The current Council of Elders that has 'ruled' over Resko for the past few decades will be abolished and a specialized ruling house will be raised to govern Resko.

The basic system that has been implemented to rule the Village will see great changes in the short term, and massive modifications in the Long term.

Only a few Elders will have a position in this new ruling house to ensure their side's representation in future decisions, even then, their influence will be greatly diminished as they take in a more passive role than an active one.

Due to this, most of the Elders will be able to fully detach themselves from their position, permitting them to fully commit to their secondary activities, or in that scenario, their main ones.

Winthrope will be elected the Mayor.

Due to this, the newcomers will feel greatly relieved, having all of their tension washed away, while the Villagers will feel detached from the current government.

There is a small chance for conflict to arise from this Government structure.

There is a negligible chance that the rate of segregation between both groups will increase.

The Church will remain impartial to all governmental activities due to its current state.

[Reestabilishment of the Original Monarchy -> The current Council of Elders that has 'ruled' over Resko for the past few decades will be abolished and the old Monarchical system will be reestablished to govern Resko.

The basic system that has been implemented to rule the Village will be completely restructured from the ground up to contend with the changes in its governmental structure.

None of the Elders will be given a position in this new ruling house as their position will be demoted to that of specialized masters or District oversees if not common civilians with little to no privileges amidst the population.

They could be given a position later on, but all of this will depend mostly on their own will and that of the ruler.

Due to this, the Elders will fully detach themselves from their position, permitting them to fully commit to their original crafts and pursue higher stages of technique and understanding.

Winthrope will be elected as a temporary Monarch until his successor is established and the Kahler Family will be crowned the rulers of Resko once more, and this time, the sole absolute one.

A ceremony shall be held to consolidate their rulership, and most of the tension shared between both parties will be extinguished with the definite establishment of a ruler.

There is a chance for conflict to arise from this Government structure.

Under the new system all will be treated as equals, be they the Original citizens or the Newcomers. Thus, the rate of segregation will be nulled, but the chances of conflict due to diverging opinions may increase.

The Church will take an active role in the management of the City-State as it used to do in the past.

'This is tough.'

Once more, the wheel of fate turned.

It was time for Dale to choose.

What future does he wish to build, today, he would take a major step towards making it a reality.

The lives of thousands and that of multiple races rested within his hands.
