Pill Emperor was looking at Elliot was eyes that contained no emotion, only indifference and an intense desire to commit murder. And he became sure that a fight would break out if he didn't give an answer that would satisfy the pill emperor when he saw the ground and the air around them freezing and burning at the same time! The pill Emperor had summoned his mystical fire, the freezing flames, and it was quickly surrounding everything in a layer of frost. But everything that got frosted was melting at a rapid phase!
Elliot thought for a moment and said, "I was born in the Civilizations Graveyard. Have you heard of it?"
His words seemed to work like magic. The icy temperature vanished, so did the frost covering the ground, air, a few tables, and cauldrons. The moment it receded, everything that it was in contact with shattered. The tables, pots, and the ground turned to dust while the space shattered.

The layer of frostiness on the Pill Emperor's eyes disappeared, and gentleness appeared in them. He said, "No wonder you could climb the celestial staircase with a single step! No wonder you managed to topple the Hell's gate with a single push! No wonder you roamed around the mega trap array of Lord Formation as if you were taking a stroll in your backyard! Everything makes sense now!"
Pill Emperor knew that the civilizations graveyard exited. The saintess had informed all the emperors and sublime ones of the spirit race to keep their stuff ready and always be prepared to leave for that place at a moment's notice. As only a few people knew about that, Pill Emperor didn't doubt Elliot's words.
"I hope that cleared your misunderstanding about me," Elliot said.
"Forgive me for my erratic behavior." The Pill Emperor apologized.
"I am not trying to be a busybody, but why did the mention of otherworldly beings anger you so much that you were looking to kill me?" Elliot asked with a slight smile.
Pill Emperor showed a hurt expression, turned around, and walked up to a cauldron near him.
"Forget about it."
These were the only words he left behind before focusing on teaching alchemy to Elliot.
Elliot realized that he had no intention of talking about this matter, and as he also saw the pained expression on his face, he didn't ask about it again.
"First off, put the ingredients in the cauldron."
The pill emperor used his mana to do everything. The cauldron lid opened, and the ingredients shot inside of it. Then, the lid closed.
"Since we've purified the ingredients and put them inside the cauldron, it is time to move on to the next step, in which we will use flames to melt the ingredients!"
The Pill Emperor summoned his ethereal sun flames that could turn an entire Mountain to ashes or let a child play with it without getting burned, depending on the desire of the pill emperor. His flames rushed inside the cauldron through the tiny holes on top of it. Once inside, they crept up to the ingredients and enveloped them.
A holographic screen of everything inside the cauldron opened up in front of Elliot. Some flames enveloping the ingredients were burning gently while the others too ferociously. Elliot knew the reason behind it. Each ingredient had a different melting point. If a person doesn't heat them enough, they won't melt. But if a person heat them more than what they require to reach their melting point, the fire would destroy the medicinal essence or some part of it.
So, it was essential to heat ingredients only up to their melting point ad not more than that.
Under the scorching heat, the ingredients inside the cauldron started melting.
"As you can see, once they reach their melting point, the outer surface, inner surface, and innermost area of the ingredient would turn to dust, revealing their medicinal essence. The last step is to split the medicinal essence of each ingredient into an appropriate portion, mix them into one, use energy pressure to turn the gaseous form into liquid and liquid into solid to create a pill!"
While he was saying that, a terrifying amount of energy rushed out of the Pill Emperor's body and surged inside the cauldron. The mana split the medicinal essence into various portions and then combined those portions into the shape of gaseous lollipops that would scatter as soon as the mana wall surrounding them evaporated.
Then, energy pressure descended on them, causing the gaseous Lollipops to become watery. When an even greater pressure dropped on them, the watery lollipops turned solid, taking the shape of full-fledged pills.
"Retrieve!" The pill emperor said. The lid of the caldron opened, and multiple pills shot out of it. They all landed on a pill bottle that the pill emperor had just opened up.
"And there you have it, four energy circuit widening pills." The pill emperor said.
He put up a pretty good performance. The sad thing was that there was no one but Elliot here. He awkwardly clapped for him. The pill emperor coughed violently suddenly as his old injuries started acting up. Elliot went up to help him, but he told him that there was no need for him to worry about him, that he should focus on creating a pill!
"Okay, I will," Elliot replied.
Before he could even get to it, a notification popped up.
[New Trial Activated!]
[Trial Name: Ascending to the ranks of Alchemist!]
[Task: Create a Pill!]
[Rewards: Energy Solidifying Pill!]
'A new mission? Ah, it's about making pills! It's going to be easy to complete.'
Elliot didn't think that creating a pill was hard, and he would prove that to the world through his actions.
A hundred energy streams surged out Elliot's body, acting as his hands.
The first one picked up the lid of the cauldron.
The next ten picked up the purified ingredients and carefully put them inside the cauldron.
The first one then closed the lid.
