Chapter 211: The rise & Fall of Tyler Barnes (a)

Elliot’s piercing gaze landed on Tyler Barnes. Tyler was a man gorgeous enough to be called a woman. With silver hair that looked as dazzling as a moon hanging in the middle of a dark sky and long, gentle eyelashes, one might mistake him for God’s apostle. His looks were top-notch, and the white silver wears on his body made him look like a child of a noble household. It was hard to believe an angel-looking man had done anything wrong in his entire life.

‘Let’s check how strong you’re.’

Using the power of his godly right eye of wisdom, he managed to obtain almost all essential information about him. Tyler felt as if a celestial was looking at him, peeking into his soul, seeing through all the sins he had committed in this life. In front of Elliot’s chilling and all-seeing gaze, Tyler trembled unconsciously, albeit so slightly that no one managed to notice it.

‘Am I afraid of him?’

Yes, he was afraid of Elliot.

Although Elliot looked like a boy in his teens, Tyler couldn’t deny that he was terrifying, too terrifying even to exist. With a single attack, he annihilated so many living beings, took so many lives that one couldn’t consider anything less than a walking, talking, and breathing calamity. He was nothing less than a miniature and self-conscious version of a nuclear bomb!

‘What the hell? Why are all his physical stats above 200 units, almost double of a peak-stage magic grandmaster?! Did he do drugs? He also has crazy abilities!’

Elliot, too, was shocked to see Tyler’s stats and abilities. Not only did this person have two times the average stats of a grandmaster of magic, making him physically more powerful than himself, but he also had multiple demonic blessings. The first one was extreme vitality, and the second one was instant sacrifice.

Instant sacrifice, a skill that the serpentine devil only bestows to mid-rank apostles, allowing them to sacrifice any being that can’t put up a resistance to the serpentine devil, was genuinely terrifying. However, it also had two restrictions. First off, the user could only sacrifice things that were present around him. The range of the demonic blessing reached up to ten kilometers. Secondly, a serpentine devil needed the help of a sinister formation to utilize it.

Tyler Barnes had both, and he was looking at Elliot with spiteful eyes. Although the said person was looking at him hatefully, Elliot wasn’t disturbed. Instead, he returned the glare with a sweet smile that made him look like an advocate of peace. Though, everyone knew that he was a mass murderer that had just killed around ten thousand beings.

“Thank you.” Elliot mouthed out, and Tyler Barnes read his lips and managed to make out the two words.

Elliot was truly thankful to him. If it wasn’t for Tyler Barnes gathering so many beasts for him to execute in a moment, who knows how long it would’ve taken for him to gather so many units of the essence of life. Nine hundred thousand was not a small amount. Heck, he could become unbelievably strong and thwart all the upcoming dangers by using all of them to evolve himself! Considering that, the one who would be behind all his upcoming success would be none other than Tyler Barnes!

All Hail Lord Tyler Barnes!

Elliot’s smile was genius, but it pricked the eyes of his enemies, especially the leader of the serpentine devil, so much that they turned deep red, changing into the color of blood.

‘What the fuck?! This freak! Is he taunting me?’ Tyler’s eyes widened in anger, and he looked at Elliot as if he was a crazy bastard. Hatred was brimming in his reddish-silver eyes. Tyler’s stomach was also churning. It was as if Elliot had killed his father, then his mother, then his brothers and sisters, didn’t even bury their bodies and let beasts eat them to fill their tummies.

Why was Tyler feeling like that?

Well, it’s because Elliot had smashed everything he had worked for in the past few years.

One of the founders themselves had recommended Tyler Barnes to lead this expedition. It wasn’t for no reason.

First off, he had shown his capabilities by leading a terrorist attack back on earth and capturing one of the ninety-nine mobile cities.

Roaming cities were rare resources of the magician community, and Tyler Barnes had managed to nap it, not with his strength but tactics.

Then, he sacrificed every citizen of the mobile city to the serpentine devil, taking more than ten thousand lives and giving them to the demonic god.

After that, the serpentine devil itself sent a demonic decree and promoted him to the mid-rank apostle, giving him immense power and an additional devilish trait that went well with his endless vitality.

Of course, most organization members weren’t satisfied with him getting promoted to a mid-rank apostle after serving the serpentine devil for only a few years. He became the target of the member’s envy, jealousy, and other negative emotions, causing unrest in the organization. He also fell under the dilemma of losing his position as a mid-rank demonic apostle. Slowly and steadily, he was becoming an outcast and losing his subordinates.

In the end, the higher-ups decided to solve the problem by letting him lead this expedition that barely had any chances of becoming a failure. The moment he completes this mission by killing many talented youngsters of the magician community, looting this place from all its things, and sacrificing the entire forest to his demonic God, he will stabilize his position. Not to mention, all the voices against him will instantly quiet down as completing this mission is enough to prove himself worthy to hold the title of a mid-rank apostle.

Although he had just recently ascended to the magic grandmaster stage, one can not deny that he was competent, powerful, and ambitious. So, the higher-ups didn’t raise any problems with his leading this expedition. Moreover, they actively supported him as they wanted a masterpiece like him to consolidate his position and become a permanent and highly respected mid-rank apostle.
