Scrolling through the list, I found several interesting courses that I had already planned to take.

[1. Mana Manipulation]

..

[6. Hand to Hand combat]

[7. Sword Arts]

..

[28. Scythe Arts] (Author: I dunno.. is Scythesmanship a word?)

..

[54. Micro-runes]

..

[69. Sorcery]

-------------------------------------

Mana Manipulation was a course that was in all honesty specifically meant for me. To actually start using the [Destruction] element in battles, I needed to possess extremely high Mana Control and Manipulation skills.

I wouldn't want to accidentally erase the existence of my allies mid-fight after all. And if I ever got to the [SSS] rank, I could probably take out a good chunk of the world if I used my powers without restraint.

As for learning how to wield Swords and Scythes, it was related to the [Divine Weapon] I had inherited from the [God of Destruction], which seemed to have the ability to shapeshift between those two forms respectively.

But the most important thing to learn here were [Micro-runes] and [Sorcery].

[Sorcery] was often referred to as Black-magic, evil and vile arts, etc. [Sorcery] was a very broad term of [Arts] which consisted of things ranging from Necromancy to dealing with Hexes, Curses, and the sort. (Author: NO, sadly this is not a necromancy novel before someone asks)

Though, what people didn't know was that [Sorcery] was actually the study of the origin of the Universe. Dealing with the origin often included those "evil arts" but, it was undoubtedly one of the most primordial arts in existence.

Sadly, the human race had tainted this art with their own misinterpretations which led to its thus current state. While using the art was banned, it was certainly frowned upon.

[Micro-runes] on the other hand was engraving miniature runes either on items or mostly in the air itself. This was a sub-branch of the [Runes] art and was one adapted for combat.

But the most interesting thing about [Sorcery] and [Micro-runes] which was also a hidden setting I had added in was that if you managed to perfectly synchronize the use of these two, you'd obtain the [God-tongue] language.

Also known as the [Realmspeak], this was one of the unique powers possessed only by the [Gods] and similar-level existences. This language was one that directly interacted with reality, manipulating, molding, and changing it based on the words spoken. It had but a single purpose, to impose your will on this Universe's existence itself.

While I as a mortal couldn't use this language much, even if I managed to utter one or two words in it, the resulting power would be something unfathomable.

30 minutes had passed and everyone had submitted their preference of courses. We were then led towards another Spatial room, along with the rest of the students from all of the classes.

This was the second scenario that was supposed to occur today. Small skirmishes had broken out with several other races recently, and the atmosphere of the whole Athanasia seemed to tense up, at least for those who knew about what was going on around.

There was a high chance that a war might be declared on the Human race by several other races soon. These races obviously didn't include the allied ones such as Elves, Dwarves, Dragons, and Phoenixes along with those dependent on the Human race such as Vampires.

Due to this, it was decided that the current generation had to be strengthened as soon as possible, even if drastic measures had to be taken. Due to this, right on the first day, we were now beginning our Academy life with a Battle-royale.

We met the Principal who briefed us on the details about the incoming Battle-royale.

'I wonder what group I'll be assigned to.'

The students were all divided into several categories which mainly included the Melee fighters, Mages, Support-class, and Soulrender.

We were going to be assigned groups based on the ranks with stronger students being paired with weaker ones to adjust and equalize the combat power of each group. An ideal group would be two have 2 warriors, 2 Mages, and 1 Soulrender and Support user each.

Soon, the list of the groups was passed down to us through our smartwatches. Instantly opening the list, I began to skim through the long list of names in order to search for mine.

.

[The Eastern Region of the continent, Eupheris]

Several hooded figures could be seen appearing inside a closed underground room in the middle of nowhere. What was unique about masked figures was that each of them was as strong as the leaders of the Human race.

"We've let them live on for too long, if we continue this any further it might be us who'll be on the verge of extinction instead."

A raspy voice croaked out this sentence as each of the Hooded-figure slowly began to let their masks down.

Soon, the real appearance of each of these could be seen and if you grabbed any random person and asked them who these people were, you'd come to know that these were the rulers of each of the races living on [Eupheris]

"That Lycanthrope mutt is correct. I still don't know how Humans appeared in this world as I thought they had all already been wiped out long ago."

Humans were one of the 6 [Primordial Races] in all of existence. Due to their unique characteristics, and their undying Greed and thirst for more power and authority, the Human race had decided to wage war upon all the other species other than the Primordial ones.

Horrified by the fast growth speed of the Human Race and their ability to multiply quickly, these races all joined hands one by one which was one of the major events leading to the Great Immemorial War.
