?After a few minutes, Orion slowly stood back up, gently rubbing his eyes.

"Are you really fine though", asked Anthony in a concerned tone.

"Don't worry, I was just having cramps", replied Orion, in a stuttering tone.

'Seriously, that was the best he could come up with? An Awakened randomly having cramps and that too in eyes!!?', Asher internally face-palmed.

"Well, if you say so. Though take care of yourself a bit more", Anthony nodded his head while admonishing Orion to look after himself better.

'He SERIOUSLY believes that!?'

'Though, he seriously did deserve that. Randomly checking everyone's status and all is invading their privacy. You shouldn't do it if you don't have enough power to do it. This'll teach him to be a bit more careful in the future.' freewebn ovel.com

Asher could sense Orion secretly eyeing him with a hint of fear in his eyes. Using his [Divine Eyes], Asher could clearly tell that Orion's rank fell down by a single sub-rank when he used his ability on him. Though Orion could pretty much get back to his original rank by casually completing some missions given to him by the system. This was the reason Orion was one of the most troublesome opponents out there.

You could up to a certain extent expect your enemies to use trump cards but most people couldn't predict that their opponent might just rank up mid-fight. You'd never know when your Orion's rank might just go up by a single sub-rank due to some sorry excuse of a mission issued by the system or some item he bought in the heat of the moment through his system shop. Truly unpredictable!

While thinking about this, Asher grabbed out a few things he had originally come back to get and left the dorm.

Ever since he had gotten the Destruction element, he had never had the chance to test it out. This was because in the novel he had written, the characteristics of this Element made it so dangerous that Asher doubted if he could casually use it anywhere in public. Firstly, if he tried to test his element deep in a city, it might just cause some massive destruction. On the other hand, if he used it in the training rooms, he thought that it might destroy their structure too.

This element, although it was extremely strong in nature, with his current mana pool, he could barely condense this power.

Asher stepped out into a desolate location on the Academy campus. Looking around, he saw nobody in his sight. So, Asher drew out his power and channeled it into the Destruction Element. Suddenly, his body started emitting Golden sparks as his hair slowly started to turn blonde.

His eyes glowed with a deeper color of blue while a suppressive golden aura momentarily shot out of his body. Feeling boundless strength within his body, he flexed his muscles and gathered a small drop of the golden energy surrounding him on his hand, at the fingertips of his left hand's index finger.

At this moment, a magic circle appeared beneath his body. He knew what this was so he suppressed his powers and aura after which his entire vision was covered by a blinding flash of light.

[Meanwhile, at another corner of the Academy]

The professors hired by the Academy were all at least at the [B] rank or even higher. In the faculty area for the professors, they were all working hard, going through the information gathered on each and every new student.

This period of time was one of the most hectic ones for these Professors who had to deal with the influx of new students. From warning them about breaking the rules to investigating each of them, they had a lot on their plate.

At a certain instant, each and every single of the professor paused their work while some of them even shivered for a split second. The students might not have been able to sense it due to their low ranks but the professors were all able to sense that vicious and suppressive aura that was emitted from another corner of the Academy.

After halting their work, most of the professors deployed their senses using their high [Spirit] attribute to detect the origin of that aura, only to be blocked by the magic of the Principal.

"It's fine, please continue on with your work", asserted the Principal who had appeared behind them before they even knew about it. fre ewebn ovel

And she surely disappeared as fast as she came as, by the time the Professors turned around which took less than a second due to their high ranks, she was already gone.

"I wonder what that was. I've never sensed something like that before", a lean male professor commented.

"I'm not sure what it was but it felt like it was an energy that was something entirely different from Mana itself. At a fundamental level, mana could be said to be neutral while this was just.. too oppressive in nature. I don't think this was done by the Principal though as she could've just tested it out somewhere else or hidden the aura from us. Though I doubt it was one of the students either, they're not at a level to be able to manifest something like this", spoke a bulky-looking muscular Professor who was surprisingly the one who taught magic.
