Ren Ye felt his mouth become strangely stiff as he stared at this beautiful woman with shock hidden inside his heart, he couldn't help but rub his lips continuously.
It was a coping mechanism he had, something to soothe the tension raging in his heart.

As he laid his eyes on her face, he kept his emotions hidden behind a mask of intoxication and bliss. He appeared as though he had taken high-level drugs, with Hao Caiyi snuggled against his body.
Hopefully, she will think it is someone else.
Jing Xue didn't speak as she lowered her face to his hand on his waist, her eyes grew increasingly colder and would have penetrated his head if daggers shoot out from her eyes.
She pursed her lips tightly and calmly swung her head to the other side, she glanced toward the bartender and gave him a soft smile. The bartender recognized her and returned a smile.
"Have you seen Sun De?"
Her ethereal voice echoed into his ears, as though her casual tone was her singing voice.
Ren Ye hid away his frustrated expression as he chugged the glass of vodka right in front of her, he didn't notice her expression became complicated as she watched him drink.
Hao Caiyi smiled seductively at him as she took his glass and took her shot as well while having her eyes on him only, Ren Ye felt he wanted to push this woman off a cliff.

Ren Ye's body trembled slightly as he shifted his seat and avoided Jing Xue's face.
Jing Xue sneered silently inside her heart as she couldn't help but become disappointed with his behavior, she bit her lower lip secretly.

"He was here an hour ago. I could have sworn I heard he went out with someone called Deng Ming."
Ren Ye felt his face go crimson red as Jing Xue turned to look at him with complex eyes, she curled her lips into a tiny smile slightly and nodded toward the bartender.
"Alright."
"Why is Miss looking for him?"
Jing Xue suddenly let out a soft giggle as she placed her head on her hand, she side-eyed Deng Ming quietly and shot him a knowing smile.
"He got in trouble."
"?"
The bartender was confused, "Young Master Sun got in trouble again?"
"I didn't want to say this in his family-owned nightclub but he committed an atrocious crime. Thankfully, a young handsome man managed to save the day."
Jing Xue's eyelashes trembled before glancing at the shot of vodka in front of her, she played with the drink and gripped it before loosening it.
Jing Xue turned to shoot Ren Ye a provocative glance before pretending not to notice anything as Ren Ye couldn't help but lay his eyes on her suspiciously.
"This woman is playing with fire," Ren Ye wanted to cry out loudly at her but his mouth was unable to move, "She definitely knows it is me!"
Old Yi hummed loudly, "Told you."
As soon as he figured out that Jing Xue knew who he was or perhaps guessed who was behind his mask, he immediately pushed Hao Caiyi, unintentionally causing her to fall off her chair.

Hao Caiyi let out a high-pitched scream as she fell onto the ground with a loud thud, she rubbed her bottom as she winced in pain. Before long, she turned to look at 'Deng Ming' with tearful eyes.
"Ming Er, why did you do that?"

Ren Ye didn't know what to say or to explain himself as he felt Jing Xue's eyes peer through the back of his head, his mouth twitching constantly.
He didn't utter any word and didn't want to put himself in trouble with the so-called mother of his child, he didn't plan to be caught here at all.
"Ming Er, why are you cold to me again? I thought we could be friends."
She waited patiently for Ren Ye to pick her up and apologize, she saw he was going to do so and couldn't help becoming teary-eyes.
She vented her grievances gloomily, "Ming Er, I won't be mad at you if you come here. I won't talk about what you did and won't bring up why you pushed me away."
"If you only gave me a chance."
As she spoke, tears slipped out from the corner of her eyes and slid down her face. Her mascara ran free as she appeared as though she had been in so much grief and Deng Ming was the cause of her grievances.
Ren Ye's throat throbbed as Jing Xue lowered her head silently, she placed a hand over her mouth and covered her slightly curled lips.
She was waiting for him to give a response.
Ren Ye suddenly raised his head and glanced toward her with ruthless eyes, he opened his mouth and uttered one heartless word.
"Scram."
As he said this word, he lowered his cold eyes onto her face and didn't give any sentiments.
Upon seeing his response, Hao Caiyi felt heartbroken and didn't hide her grief as she sobbed silently in front of 'Deng Ming'.
It was a shame she didn't realize it wasn't Deng Ming she was crying about but rather it was Ren Ye. She would have felt pathetic for crying over this heartless man in the first place if she ever found out.
"I went out of character because of her…"
Ren Ye scolded Jing Xue quietly inside his heart as Hao Caiyi was eventually pulled over to the side by her girlfriends who came to curse him publicly and call him a scumbag.
"Eh, it could have been a nuclear war just now."
He left the nightclub and slowly made his way outside the area, he walked silently by himself with his hands in his pocket. He took out a cigarette from his pocket and lit it with a lighter.
He returned to his original form and discarded any evidence he had on him.
Ren Ye wasn't a smoker in the past, he had only resorted to smoking only 2 years ago due to intense pressure from his job. He was rather accustomed to the cheap cigarettes from convenience stores.
He took a whiff of the cheap cigarette as he exhaled the smoke with a solemn face, he felt a bitterness on his tongue as he licked the remnants off his lips.
"You smoke?"
A familiar ethereal voice sounded quietly from the corner, causing Ren Ye to tense up before recovering quickly. He turned to look at this mixed-race beauty with complicated eyes.
"You made me do that to her."
Ren Ye laughed self-deprecatingly in his hoarse voice, not intending to amuse her with jokes anymore.
"When did you learn to smoke? A hobby you had in the past?" Jing Xue didn't intend to let the topic slide as she pressed him silently with pool-like eyes, resembling a calm and still lake.
"Sort of, not that you could change it anyway," Ren Ye shrugged dismissively and took a whiff of the cigarette, exhaling the white smoke silently.
"You don't appear to like me smoking?" He couldn't help but ask as he noticed her dissatisfied face.
He expected celebrities like her, who were under intense pressure from the media, would resort to smoking and would have asked him for a cigarette. He didn't expect she would be dissatisfied with him smoking.
As soon as he finished speaking, Jing Xue walked toward him with light footsteps before wrapping her arms around his waist silently. She pressed her head against his shoulder and breathed in his manly scent.
She let out a satisfied sigh, "It isn't a good thing to smoke."
"…"
"Then why are you hugging me? I smell extremely bad when I smoke."
"I don't like cigarettes and the smell but that doesn't mean I dislike the person who smokes…"
Jing Xue said softly, smiling against his shoulder and wrapping him in a tight embrace. She hummed quietly and asked him quietly with a strange voice.
"So you're not wondering how I found you through your disguise?"
"Hmm, I guess it has something to do with my footsteps?" Ren Ye chuckled bitterly as he finished his cigarette and throw it away onto the ground.
"Mm."
It was the truth. She had recognized him by his footsteps, something he could never hide from her no matter what.
There was another secret she intended to hide away from him, she had been tracking him all the way from the hospital to here. She generally knew what he did throughout his day.
Upon finding out that he had gone to Sun De's nightclub, she couldn't help but worry about him. Therefore, she chose to come here and protect him silently from behind.
She had been saddened by Hao Caiyi's provocative eyes that she gave Ren Ye, who had been in Deng Ming's disguise, she chose to come out of her hiding spot.
