Chapter 138: Ruthless and Straightforward
The guard was in so much pain that he could not say another word.
Fang Lin glanced at Li Ran and gritted his teeth. He kicked the guard on his knee, which caused him to knelt down.
Additionally, Fang Lin stepped on his foot forcefully.
Tears were flowing down from the guard’s eyes.
All he could do was beg for mercy.
Fang Lin ignored him and asked Li Ran, “Sister-in-law, how do you want to deal with this man? I’ll do anything you say.”
His words caused the guard’s body to stiffen. For a moment, he even forgot about the pain.
“Sister-in-law?”
Fang Lin punched him again without any warning.
“She’s not your sister-in-law! Now shut up. I don’t want to hear another word for you!”
Fang Lin looked at Li Ran and waited for her to speak.
After a long pause, Li Ran said, “Expel him from the safety base. Let’s see how he’ll survive alone.”
Fang Lin then took out a knife. He asked, “Which hand did he use to touch you just now?”
“I didn’t! Brother Fang Lin! I didn’t touch her!”
The guard looked at the blade and instantly began to panic. He was terrified of Fang Lin.
Li Ran looked at the guard’s right hand.
“The right hand. His mouth spouted a lot of nonsense as well.”
The guard’s eyes widened. He used all his strength to break free from Fang Lin but was unsuccessful.
Fang Lin raised his hand and swung the knife.
The guard’s entire hand was separated. He rolled around in pain and howled loudly. His body was trembling violently.
It was then the guard’s fight or flight instinct kicked in. He finally managed to break free from Fang Lin.
However, Fang Lin had no intention of letting him go. He kicked the guard on his chest while ignoring all the blood that was spurted.
“Sister-in-law, how should I cut his mouth to maximize the pain?”
There was blood everywhere.
The gory sight made Li Ran really uncomfortable.
Her face turned pale.
She averted her gaze and said weakly, “You can decide. I’m just going to look for my car.”
Then, she walked away.
Her car was rather new compared to the other vehicles, so it was easy to spot.
Li Ran headed towards where her car was parked.
As for Fang Lin, he saw how upset Li Ran was and proceeded to stab the guard’s mouth with his knife. He did not care how much pain or damage he was causing.
The guard’s eyes almost looked like they were going to pop out.
Fresh blood gushed out from his mouth and stained the knife. His dismembered arm was the least of his worries.
He did not know what he should do.
The guard’s legs were shaking. All he could feel was despair.
There was a high possibility that he would die on the spot.
Blood kept flowing and he could only watch helplessly.
In the end, Fang Lin decided to just leave and follow Li Ran.
When he saw the food and water that was stored in Li Ran’s car trunk, he said in surprise, “Wow! You have so many supplies.”
Li Ran smiled and replied, “Before we got here, we stopped by a supermarket and ransacked the entire place.”
“Not bad. It’s really hard to find resources nowadays. Many places have already been emptied out.”
Fang Lin was stating the truth.
The world had been turned upside down.
